Dear that is much more cultural (the line I highlighted in red and underlined also)Originally posted by: pallavi25
Who said it doesnt rain in Canada? Not me...
I just said rain in North America is not as pleasant and warm as in India. How many people actually willingly get wet in the rain in Canada? Not many I bet! Does anyone do rain dance in Canada? Even in a summer shower? But in India we used to do that because it was such a relief after the hot and humid summer days! For myself I can say that after living in New York state for 20 yrs, here in summer it hardly rains and people dont get wet in the rain even then.Rather on a hot day, kids run thru sprinklers in the yard which is much more fun! Lets say rain dance is a cultural thing, not often seen in North America. Thats why so many INDIAN movies and serials have couples gallivanting and romancing in the rain! Rain means romance in India, not here!
😆 Dear that is much more cultural.
As for getting wet in the rain or by sprinklers, it does mean that ppl do get wet 😆, so that argument that getting wet here in Canada, isn't as fun is hard to accept. My kids just loves running around all wet, if I am waterng my garden, or if I allow them just getting wet in summers in the rain. Beside, the story show that as young kids they got wet (maybe in the sprinklers too😉), but the logic is the same...why pick out something as simple as getting wet, just to disprove what they are trying to show. They are just trying to show dear, that as Kids Arjun and Ovi had fun getting wet and enjoying together----at least that is how I take it...

Really? Do u live in Vancouver? In Western Canada Ive heard its milder weather because of Pacific Ocean. In Eastern Canada and North-eastern US, rain is cold and nasty. Ive never seen anyone enjoying rain here. In India we used to get wet in the rain as its so warm and pleasant, but here we hurry to get home in wet weather.

Getting wet in the sprinklers when its a hot sunny day in summer is not the same as getting wet in the rain over here. I wont allow my son to get wet in the rain even in summer. He might get a cold as when it rains, temperature naturally drops because this is US, not India where temp drop is a welcome relief. Thats called geography and climate! 😃How many Hollywood movies show couples romancing in the rain? Thats why I said its a cultural thing. My daughter grew up here, she did get wet in the sprinklers, as does my son now...but they would never venture out in the rain, even in summer. Nobody does that, never seen my neighbour's kids do that either. As for disproving what they are showing on PR, everything they show is nonsensical and unresearched. Anyone can find dozens of bloopers in every episode, thats not to diss anyone's fav couples but criticize the stupid CVs who are uninformed and demented! Hope u understand the difference! 😃
Pallavi my dear, I do understand the difference and I hope that you can appreciate my POV as well.
You won't allow your son getting wet in the USA, doesn't translate that no one does - there are always exceptions. Everyone has their take about parenting as well as taking the liberty to get wet (and be sick). So, I do allow myself and my Kids to get wet in the rain. Not a big deal...they get sick from all sorts of places, so what with a bit of rain. Besides, I do not understand how getting wet thru sprinklers is different from getting wet thru rain on a hot sunny day, but I guess that is my inability...so will let it pass as well...
Now for the matter of being cultural, I said that too. Yes, Cvs were showing something that is typically India. Well, you really can't blame them, since the average audience will probably not venture out for a vacation in the US. So, the Cvs have to show things that they can relate too. TRP is generated through the show in India and that is where Cvs have their first alliance. Absolutely, there are bloopers, but the point is getting wet in the rain can happen anywhere... then that isn't then about challenging a blooper, right, but then again, it is my low IQ that makes it hard for me to understand and of course in my POV...
Yes, talking of bloopers, they did show many bloopers in the past - like Manav opening the window when it was snowing - that was definitely OTT. But this one of getting wet in the rain (or by a sprinklers) anywhere in Canada on a hot sunny day/night...no one can say that is an impossibility, right?? So, I don't see the reason of posts after posts just to challenge something shown, rather it is in my POV, to discredit the possible friendship of the characters in question???

Dear again, can all mothers here in the forum say, that their girls(even if they are prim and proper) will not act childish or their natural carefree self at least some of the times...btw, it shows that all your post were aim to discredit the 2 character that were shown and the message the Cvs were trying to convey😃at least my take on your assessment... I have nothing more to say 😃Originally posted by: pallavi25
Good for you! Next time it rains in June-July, I will look out for desis getting wet in the rain. 😃Everybody is arguing abt rain in Canada and US but nobody mentioned my other point. It was so uncharacteristic of Ovi to dance in the rain, shes not the type! Even as a kid, she was more prim and proper than Teju...I can imagine Teju dancing in the rain but NOT Ovi!
