What the Poster meant about "Walking out of the (emotionally abusive) relationship with her held high," is that she admitted to making a mistake in thinking Arjun could love her, if she could hold him to keep his initial promise of marriage via a deal, but after a year she realised that was on the wrong path in finding love.
It does not matter if the mistake is self inflicted, it is the realisation and admitting it, that makes Ovi walk out with her head held high. That is what makes her such a lady. She felt she was wrong and she was graceful about admitting it and walking out without blaming others.
A lot of mistakes people make are self-inflicted, if there is anyone in this world, who has never brought on trouble on themselves, whether knowingly or unknowingly, then I really need to meet them, because I would love to meet God in person.
Learning the difference between right and wrong is a journey, some people are at different parts of their journey, so the values differ at different times and all can't be the same. The journey brings forth knowledge only when you learn and admit to learning with humility and dignity. That is what Ovi did and always have done, and that is how she walked out of the marriage with her head held high.
Purvi has not gained that sort of wisdom in her journey. She has inflicted many things on herself, but she admits to nothing and therefore her head will never be held high.
Purvi inflicted pain on herself by accepting Arjun, even though she knew about Ovi. She knew the family would be affected by her choice, but she went ahead in love. How is she different from Ovi here? She is worse in my Point of View.
Purvi inflicted pain upon herself, by having premarital sex with Arjun, then walking out of the relationship for a deal. She had choices, she never need to make such a decision.
Purvi gave Ovi and Arjun her baby, that was self-inflicted pain, she is not God, It is God's decision about who must have children or not.
Purvi's decision has made her husband lose his license, they are now living at others mercy, that is completely self-inflicted.
However, Purvi admits to nothing, she believes her choices between wrong and right is perfect. So, Purvi can never hold her head high.
So, yes Ovi admitting her mistakes and releasing herself and Arjun from the pain of this mistake, is not only Holding her held High, but showing that she is learning the difference between wrong and right.
Does Purvi know the difference?😒
