yes Kools, Archu is waking up...but still question when she will wake-up...

when first time Purvi came and told her Pari is her baby then a beep came...

when manav came and spoke to her after getting to know the truth, she moves her hand lil...

now for Sulo she moved her hand lil more...

my question is, why she didnot move when Ovi came and cried and told she is scattered...i think i am asking stupidest question after knowing how Archu treats Ovi...

and yes, i am waiting for Purvi joining Arjun's office...i am waiting for same humiliation to Arjun what Purvi got today...

Purvi's presence while Soham-Teju was annoying...but it made me relief when Savitha came to market too...

so who was taking care of Pari...Onir was at Arjun's office and Purvi in the market...

Varsha di, completely agree on green part of your post...

Masti either Pari had invisible baby sitter or she was self sitting 😉

Archu and her coma only gets affected and she moves when part of her trinity is involve...
Her bio kids have no impact..
Manav is a whole different ball game..
I just hope Maate Archu does not wake up and support Purvi with full force as we see others are now telling PUrvi whats up..

Varsha di, i want Sulo to take Pari to Arjun, so that Sulo can lecture Arjun too... arjun will never ask for quality time with Pari, he will admit he goes there for Purvi and Pari...and he will tell to Sulo darling I will go there you don't have to come here with Pari, hope you understand Pope...

and one of his famous dialogue if Sulo gets AA...relax, trust me...

DK and Sulo needs to lecture Arjun too...Only fair if Purvi is told than Arjun needs to hear it too as they are the Amar Premis of the 21st century 😉

@Varsha di - on that last question, I don't get it, why Purvi is omnipresent in D's life? No one wants her there, how hard it is to understand? Even I found her lurking around like a spy to Soham-Teju's convo and smiling to herself as if she is the great one who has brought Soham to reform...She will NOT stop interfering at all...This is why, good step by both aajjis, to atleast stop her from interfering in arjun-ovi;s shaadi...She really needed to hear that...But you know, she will NEVER learn...too thick headed like Kools said...She will poke her unwated nose onto every family member's life..and that is so unwarranted...And jiski zindagi mein jhaak ke dekhne ki zaroorat hai, uske liye toh zara sa insight bhi nahi hai ( onir)...

If she goes to working in Arjun's office, I wish people humiliate her and him both for being so openly shameless about their kaands...that is just unacceptable..she needs to be off Kirloskars forever...I feel so bad how messed up she has made this for everyone..first giving pari to arjun so he gets attached, now taking her back, and now the situation is such where her being around arjun will never be ok with ovi and the family, so he has to suffer, and she cannot stop him from hanging around cuz he will always want to be close to pari...So purvi, whether anyone likes it or not, has created a situation for everyone, where jhak maar ke she will be in their faces forever...unless, Ovi simply divorces Arjun and Manav-Archu and bio kids move back to Canada and let Purvi handle her chota sansaar with Onir, Arjun and Pari...Sulo will also come around, she won;'t stay too angry with the prized naatin...So let them 4 play ball ball with pari and let their relationships be messy and mocked at by society...

@kools - hahaha arch nani waking up and the new atrocity to us viewers! 😭 This peace of her being in coma, was so nice...I am hoping if she comes back, let purvi take that bed in the hospital so we are free of atleast one of them...

Loved all of this, Pari, but most of all the parts in blue. Some of this I have tired myself out repeating, especially your Purvi and Onir scene para 1. As I told Vasu recently on Janhvi's thread, I too would not have been able to sleep if I had got my husband - and such a paragon of a husband - into such a horrible situation. But Purvi is so laid back, and she does not even think of putting some disinfectant on his bruised palms, though she sees it at once when he enters the kholi.

Onir's expression when he is told of Arjun's visit is ambiguous, and even more so when he learns about the money. I too was pleased that he refused the job offer from Arjun. As for Purvi's babbling in the precap, he looks at her very strangely, and he is going to turn this offer too down, flat. Loike Ovi, he will not want false coin either. Which is just as well, for they can hardly afford another baby now!

Finally, though much of what they accused her of was unfounded, I was delighted that the two aajis told her to have a care to her marriage and not to make her paragon of a husband suffer for her galtis. Otherwise , it would never have occurred to her that she owed Onir anything. It needed telling, just like what Manav told her the other day.

saw the episode today!

First of all, Kudos to ovi for finally moving forward in her career, without letting her hopeless marriage come in the way of emotions. This girl is stronger than most characters on this show...She truly has taken after Savita in learning to deal with adversity the right way...i.e to be strong and move on...No tamashas, no unecessary dramas, just a brave front to the world and reducing the noise of her own emotions in her head.

Loved soham today..This character has so much potential to be developed...But they are again reducing him to archu jaap-er and nothing else..He should finally ask the questions he needed to ask to his father...I want some strong scenes between him and Manav, both actors with so much potential...When Manav yells at him, I want soham to ask, why was manav unsucessful in stopping Archu from giving him away to Varsha...I wanth im to ask Manav, how is Soham, himself, responsilbe for the fate life has meted out to him...I want him to ask his father all the questions he should...

But today, what a loveable character...and the actor Ankit, is so likeable to look at on screen, that he makes the character also so affable!

Purvi and Onir scene - I am astonished how this woman has no no no no guilt about what her poor husband is suffering thanks to her...She brushed away his absolute humiliation of carrying boxes being a doctor so nonchalantly, much like DK would. If this was my husband, I would have had tears in my eyes seeing him reduced to this life and to this majboori because of me..I would not get a peaceful night thinking about the hardship he is facing...But she, par onir aapko ye taqleef uthane ki zaroorat nahi thi...what an idiot of a woman...if he didn't do this much also, your daughter would starve to death...she was so unconvincing in being a wife today...even if she does not love onir, yaar, but as the friend, as the only sahara she has in life, out of utmost gratitude also, on a human level, you would feel such remorse of your actions causing this strain on him...But not our dear Purvi. She only cares for Archu, sUlo and the rest of the D clan...Not one ounce of feeling for this poor man who has literally called upon himself a death trap by marrying her.

Onir, also, no less, in re-assuring the devil incarnation that she was all right, all along..tum chinta mat karo mishti...main sab kar doonga...While, I admire husbands who are strong that way, and Onir has everything I would like in a character, except this devi worship he does and the fact that he is blind to their follies to this hadd...No insight at all...When will he understand the enormity of his actions on himself and others? When will he get that his mishti is a cognitively impaired woman who should not be given the opportunity to make decisions for them or for others. I wonder when. It's a shame that such a good guy is so flawed in this one department, that I find little sympathy for him. The look of mild hurt on his face today when he learnt of Arjun giving money was well done..SA is a good actor and I hope they develop his character beyond this henpecked husband and silent lover of his poisonous mishti.

Sulo - giving bhashan to Purvi was all needed, of course. It was well past due and finally she lashed out...But Sulo I find hypocritical in her bhashans just like archu and purvi themselves...Sulo and Archu are the ones who gave full support to the amar premis before, when Ovi had been walked over by both and when Ovi was committing suicide, our mighty pope had gone on "farz banta hai" to invite the D clan for the wedding...Not a thought spared then, so why all this bhashan now? Purvi, has no responsibility to save Arjun-Ovi marriage. She should save hers and that's about it. Sulo used big big words, and they were very much needed, as purvi needed to know that her actions have only caused pain, but to me sulo sounded hypocritical giving this bhashan. She had sar chadhaoed Purvi during the Arjun affair and now saying that she is causing the arjun-ovi break up is hogwash...Sulo flip flops just as much as the other two...Purvi innocently asking, "maine kya kiya hai aaji" and then " main sirf ovi ka bhala chahti thi"...Why does she NEVER get it that throwing away her dead child and replacing with her own love child could NEVER have done any bhalai of anyone. But, thick headed as she is, wrong to expect.

Savita giving it to Purvi in classic old Savi style was needed. Ofcourse, it was a bit OTT about raste se laayi hui ( I hate mentions of adoption as raste se layi hui, it is very degrading for Anyone) and all her tune hi bulaaya hoga arjun ko, woh aisa nahi hai,, blah blah blah...was wrong...cuz they should first look at their love struck damaad and see who goes to whom...I always give that bit to purvi that she is not interested in reviving anything with arjun...she keeps her distance when required...but what she likes is the control she has on him...it is a different high for her...but that's it. She is not ratti bhar into him anymore and it shows also...It is their laadla damaad who for 1 year has been tadpoing in Purvi's yaadein and has been naming child after their memories and going berserk about her...But Manav gave him off so I guess it makes sense...However, Purvi needed a sounding and today I am content that this happened. This was needed, so that Purvi can understand that she should simply keep away from arjun- ovi and stop controlling him and their marriage. Just simply let them be and do their own bidding...I loved someone telling her how Onir is taking the fall for all her kaands...She needed to hear that too..Although stupid that she could not see it for herself..But with Purvi's non-existent perception skills, I will give her the cut on that.

Purvi is going to annoy me until she owns up to her big mistakes instead of going on her ratt of " i wanted bhalai" and until she sees the downfall of Onir due to her. Until that remorse and guilt sets in, I cannot simply stand her arrogant attitude about her actions that have destroyed people. Onir, I have a soft spot for u but I can never really like you until you too have some insight into your actions and your wife's insanity.

Arjun, I think character is shaping up well. Ovi leaving him seems to have brought a world of difference in his thinking..Finally doing thigns his own way without being dictated to by purvi and looking for answers from her...I liked the way he called Onir and upfront told him about the money and the visit to his house. It is what he should have done rightly. And yes, it was a bit wrong of him to offer a meaningless job to Onir, but it showed that he cares. I like that he is conversing with Onir about things that matter, instead of bringing purvi into everything. Somehow, their friendship seems awkward to me, but at the same time, it is a boon for Pari that they both get along.

Precap- hahahahahahaahhah...Purvi is ridiculous yaar...she is doing meherbani or what by having sex with Onir..because people sunaoed her, she thinks solution to making marriage work is having sex...Can you start with some guilt, remorse and basic respect for your husband first? And did she think lifelong she will give Onir a floor and no -sex in this marriage? Can't beleive how dumb they can show her to be..Savita told her and Sulo told her, so she is not awkwardly telling Onir to have sex with her...What nonsense! and honestly, is that not wronging your husband? If you are not ready, have a heart to heart conversation with him about it instead of giving him this idea and then him seeing how you are not into it and so awkward..It hurts a husband much more in that case...Atleast start by giving him pati ka darja and that is let him share the sleeping space with you, look after him, take care of him and give him the much needed support to get back in life...That is the real thing bro..not this awkward forced let's have sex nonsense...She really gets to me...I love the look Onir gave her, he is smart that way, except for the lovestruck blinders. He will tell her no need to force this and there is no jaldi...

But yes, kudos to both aajis for finally sunaoing Purvi...If not the hardship, she needed to hear the bitter truth...kuch toh karma mile waapas! 👏

Shyamala Aunty

Shyamala aunty,

spot on about Onir and her. I do like Onir, but it doesn't come to a full circle because he himself also does not see the baby swap as a mistake. I want him to see it for what it was, plain and cruel to a mother, instead of only seeing it for his mishti's big heartedness. That annoys me so much about him, that it makes it hard for me to like him and absolve him. Men who cannot see the world beyond their wife/lover ( like Arjun) and men who cannot see any wrong in their actions and their wife's behavior, choosing to lay fingers on society instead, are simply not my type. I am not a feminist on any count, and nor am I a woman who wants men to mete ourt punishments to wife or yell and abuse them..But I am of the opinion that a husband should reprimand his wife for wrong doings and show her the mistakes she has done, as vice versa...that is a balanced relationship...this is like those parents who think their child can do no wrong, even if the others complain and simply sar chadhao the child with their pampering and yell at other's kids about their complains instead...These children never learn.

Purvi has had Sulo, Archana, Arjun and now Onir, all 4 of them re-assuring her of her behavior however wrong and choosing not to teach her right from wrong. Tyaag and balidaan when hurt someone, or cause grief and pain, are of no use. You cannot sidestep that simply because she had no wrong intention. What is wrong is wrong, intentions gaye bhaad mein, when someone is made to go through trauma because of your balidaan nature. Onir really needs now to gain insight warna he is a doobta hua shikara, anytime ready to drown and purvi won't even give her hand to save him.

@bold - I absolutely agree...She did not once bother about that wound...Purvi is selective in her causes and her love and balidaans...And seems like they are only to please people who have yet to love her...But people who already do, she has very litte capacity to give to them anything, even gratitude.

I don't know what bhashans do for purvi. I think she is proving to be the most dumb "educated" girl there ever was...No practical knowledge of people, relationships or how sansaar works...I guess seeing Archana play the wife to an invisible husband all those years, taught her some very random things about marriage. Despite all that Savita and Sulo told her about how Onir is taking the fall and how she is lucky to have a man like him and she should save her marriage, what she takes from it is, she should have sex with him to take this marriage forward. she is too thick headed unless somone explicitly sits her down and gives her point by point undrstanding of onir and his meaning in her life. Otherwise, ye buddhu mein kuch bhi akkal nahi hai to put 2 and 2 together.

Alas, let us wait for one more episode to do this :P

All my dear gals here,

I have had enough of the Travails of Purvi, and so I am going clean off topic, to a show that most of you follow with great interest. I came to DKD Mahadev only last October, thanks to Varsha, but I have not missed a single episode since then.

But I had never even looked into the DKDM website till today, when I did a look see, and stumbled on to a thread entitled, with deliberate provocativeness, dont u think DKDM is losing the charm it once had?

I of course waded in feet first, and I posted my first even contribution that thread, basically an analysis of Jalandhar, and by association about Vrinda. This is reproduced below.

One of those who read and liked it, Nikki, sent it to a DKDM writer, Utkarsh, and he seems to have been so delighted with my tribute to his baby, the character of Jalandhar, that he paid me a very handsome compliment thru Nikki, which she passed on to me (see below).

So, I enjoyed myself there today, leaving behind all this PR tripe.

I hope you girls find my post interesting.

Dear Nikki,

What can I say but that I am truly flattered? You are really very very kind, and I am so glad those who have developed Jalandhar the way he is shown liked my analysis of their creation, or rather their understanding of a very complex persona.

Thank you again, my dear. Please do convey my regards and my compliments to Shri. Utkarsh too. He is very aptly named!

I agree completely with your reference to the ashtanga yoga.DKD Mahadev is a mythological with deep philosophical overtones and undertones, not a Shiva-Parvati or Shiva-Sati love story alone, and it has to be taken like that. At least, unlike the run of the mill serials, they do not change the storyline for the sake of TRPs!

Moreover, the Jalandhar track is fascinating, above all because of the character of Jalandhar. He is a curious mixture of many qualities.

-Innocence - part of him is still that 8 year old whose life was centred on his mother. I simply loved that little boy, and the courage with which he coped with the crippling trauma of his mother being murdered in front of his eyes.

-Great strength, great courage and even greater prowess as a warrior, plus the intelligence of a strategist who can match the devas in both tactics and strategy.

-Arrogance, not the arrogance of power but the arrogance of excellence. He cares only for excellence, and that is why, in a reflection of modern ideas of democracy, he does not want a hereditary monarchy for the asuras, but to have their kings chosen only for being sarvashreshta.

-A deep sense of responsibility towards the asuras who have made him their own and accepted a matsyakanya's son as their king.

-Unquestioning devotion towards the guru who took charge of him, saved him from Indra, and made him what he is today.

-Integrity and a sense of honour, in life and in war.

-An almost reluctant love for Vrinda, which is the first feeling he has ever had for himself, and which he, despite being so introverted, is able to confess to her directly and with amazing gentleness.

-Finally, the burning desire to be revenged on the murderer of his mother.

He is a superb king and would have been a very good husband and father, but I expect that his whole personality will soon be overtaken by what the ancient Greeks called hubris, or overweening pride and vaulting ambition. He will thus overreach himself, go over and beyond what his guru Shukracharya, himself a devotee of Mahadev, advises him to do. In the process, he will probably destroy himself, but then his end, as he is a Shivansh, will be a relatively gentle merging back into the whole of which he is a part, Shiva.

One has to appreciate such a complex personality, which is not black or white or even grey, but a shifting blend of colours.

Vrinda too is not the usual coy, blushing maiden, but a woman professional in her own right, to use modern terminology, with enough courage to face the arrows without flinching, and enough spirit to stand up to Jalandhar. I was a tad disappointed yesterday that she did not make the slightest effort to get what she really wants, either thru telling her father directly, or telling Jalandhar to take care of it in a way that would not hurt her father's honour. But then she is not really a modern girl, for all her professionalism and her courage, but an obedient daughter who is bound by the sanskaars she was brought up to follow.

All in all, an unusual and very interesting couple.

I do not at all mind the number of weeks being devoted to the three tracks that are ongoing at present - the ashtanga yoga track, the Jalandhar track, and now the Mahakaal track. The footage is divided roughly half and half between the first 2 tracks, and I find both absorbing.

You are absolutely correct, good things take time, like fine cooking. One cannot always eat only fast food!

This show is not only about love, it shows a lot more. Shivji- Sati phase had it's own charm though it had lot of fiction to it. Even J track has fiction. It's reaching it's main part with J's wedding to Vrinda.

TRP of the show had increased after Veerbhadra's entry, as most of the part shown after that had reference to Puranas.

The current Astanga Yoga is one of the best track, no other show has ever tryed to explain Yoga in somuch detail & it's going in slow pace which is normal as it gives us time to understand.

Why one should always see a show as a love story or for Chemistry of the lead pair. Our Mythology offeres much more then just a LS. It's Shivji- Paravti's love only which is making them undergo so much for each other & for the benifits of others.
