I don't agree that Manav and Savita failed Ovi, it is Archana who failed Ovi. I also don't agree that Ovi failed to be a truly independent and understanding Adult.
First of all, Ovi was always independent she did her modelling and she is back to modelling again.
Also, Ovi always take decisions for herself, she is an independent thinker whether she is wrong or right. No one told Ovi to accept the deal was wrong, she came to that conclusion on her own and admitted to Arjun and apologise. It takes a real independent woman to do that.
Secondly, why should Ovi just forget all the years she knew Arjun, and just nicely give him over to another girl? Ovi and Arjun had agreed that they would get married. Why should Ovi have just rolled over and give in? I believe she was allowed to be upset and throw tantrums, if she wanted to. I am not saying she should have attempted suicide, but then I don't have abandonment issues.
What Ovi should have done or not done is subjective, and only until we have been in her position we can truly come to a conclusion on what is right or wrong for her.
Purvi should have been independent and an understanding adult when she found out that Arjun was supposed to marry Ovi. Why didn't Purvi be the bigger person? Why did it take a deal for her to give Arjun to Ovi? Why did she not realise, it was really wrong the way she was ready to be with Arjun, despite the circumstances? I am a woman, and I would never want another woman to cry or attempt suicide because I failed to understand her woman to woman. I could never see her suffer like that. I would leave the man. It was wrong what Purvi did, and that is why I cannot understand or accept Arvi ever!!
Their relationship started out wrong and any relationship built on lies,deception and a woman breaking another woman's life, cannot be accepted by me, it is wrong in my eyes. In real life, Karma would have reached Purvi for this. I have seen it happen to women I know.
Sakhile, I am not mad at you for your opinion though. Just that I can be really passionate when I express myself sometimes.
