@pari117 Dear even I am against doing sex before marriage because for me my parents comes 1st and then my fiance/lover (in future) whatever, but do u expect everyone to be like me and you. I have seen and believed that when there is love between two people and they are on the verge of getting married such hormonal changes do happen and sometimes you can actually loose control over yourself, its psychological and not related to sanskar/society/traditions/culture. Agree Indian culture is against such things but as a matter of fact i am just saying what i have seen that many of the Indians are hypocrites(even I am Indian), they say something and do something. A girl should preserve her Chasity I agree and believe but does it really happen now a days? especially when you are in a hut in a romantic ambiance with your soon to-be-husband who gives you all lovey dovey looks and whose mere touch can raise your temptation. Even the most respected/chaste/holy/saintly girl would loose control over herself because that is how a human body reacts to such things, some can control some can't. She should be ashamed of herself like you said, yes should be if it was done with the intention to enjoy but it was not and she knew she was going to marry him so her family's izzat was not on stake. Period!!!!!
Yes what happened after that was Purvi's fault and she should not have given up her love for Arjun or for that sake once her pregnancy was revealed she should have told Arjun and faced the wrath, humiliation, slaps whatever came her way coz that was her and Arjun's fault, but what happened that night cannot be linked with what was going to happen after that.Just my opinion
@red. Actually what you just said is what Purvi did. She put her parents 1st before her fiance/lover . She didn't plan what happened. It just did and they were like any normal human beings given the setting and circumstance. She didn't know she was pregnant and what she did to leave Arjun was for her parents. That's where i have a problem because at that point in the relationship (at the door of the marriage and beyond) your spouse to be should become 1st over parents (actually that commitment period is also considered marriage in some religions ) .I have no problem with Purvi and Arjun being intimate. But, like everyone, i feel they should never have left each other...
Tich, i agree with you buddy. There's sure a massive difference between love and lust. ArVi supporters have said a ton lot here, so i really don't need to say much coz i agree with most of you guys 😉
But there are many people who disagree here and want to form an opinion that pre marital sex is wrong. Why is it wrong only in tv serials or films? When people do this in REAL life, then its right? Really eh? Such an ironic situation this is.The hypocrisy that people own does not fail to surprise me, whatsoever.P.S i'd even like to add, some so called non supporters are pin pointing here at purvi's "sanskaars" LMAO really? Guess who gave her the sanskaars? none other than miss archana deshmukh, she obviously herself is such a highly dumb woman, what sanskaars will she give to her daughters? Not only Purvi, mind you as well as Ovi deshmukh too, she needs to be given maata archana's sanskaars of how to behave and be matured 🤣
"... He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." ( The Bible - John chp. 8 vs. 1-11).The Lord Jesus spoke these words to the scribes and the pharisees (the accusers) who wanted to stone a woman to death as commanded by the law of Moses, because she was caught in the act of adultery. After saying this, Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground. The accusers upon hearing this and being convicted by their own conscience, left one by one- until Jesus was left alone with the accused woman standing in the midst. When Jesus saw that all the accusers had left, he asked the woman- "woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?" She responded- "No man, Lord". Jesus then said to her "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."Undoubtedly, Arjun and Purvi committed a sin and did wrong by engaging in pre-marital sex/fornication BUT who are we to condemn them!! Don't they deserve forgiveness?? Which one of us have never committed a wrong or a sin in the eyes of our own religion or society?? Every sin is a sin and every sin carries different consequences BUT my Bible teaches that every sin deserves forgiveness and restoration!! When a person committs a sin in the church and it is made public (be it fornication or otherwise)- my Christian principles teaches me that that person ought to be forgiven and ought to be restored to the church's assembly and to society in general !! So who am I not to forgive Arjun and Purvi for the sin/wrong that they have committed??In my view, Arjun and Purvi are no less decent and respectful persons for the wrong they have done!! I just hope that they would've learned from their actions and try not to commit similar wrongs in the future!! In the Bible' King David was said to be a man after God's own heart"- yet what did he do?? He not only committed adultery with Bathsheba BUT he also had her husband murdered to cover up his sin!! But despite this- the Bible still said that he was a man after God's own heart!! David did repent of his sin and he did suffer the grievous consequences BUT he continued to serve God in spirit and truth thereafter!! The Bible is full of examples of righteous persons who have committed sins BUT the Bible also shows us that forgiveness and restoration is a MUST !!So in concludsion- I would like to iusse this caution- Let us be careful not to be too quick to judge, lest we too may reap the same judgement!! Let us be forgiving and let us sympathize with those who have 'fallen' in our eyes" (be it in reel or real life) lest we too, when we seek forgiveness for our wrongs, may not be able to find it!!
PEACE!!
adity! Very beautiful written post 👏
