You guys have wonderfully phrased everything about today that I wanted to say so I am going to talk about three things only that were ridiculous beyond anything:
1) Archana was there right; when arjun first played that tune for purvi? did she not recognise the tune? did she not see purvi's sad face when ovi was singing for arjun? or that arjun did not even smile at his wife's sweet gestures? does she not find any of these things objectionable?2) Archana's mahan speech on her pari purvi and how she is the most special child of hers and in the very next minute telling ovi that she cannot discriminate between her children. talk about hypocrisy. she can discriminate between purvi and the rest but not discriminate against purvi for her other kids. no mother in the world can ever admit to one child being her special pari out of all the others- even if thats true. i have heard parents telling their kids- oh look how good you brother is why cant you be like that. but even if you asked them which one was their favorite, they still would not consent to one being more preferred than the other.3) the trust arjun speech. is she serious? first of all ovi has not complained about arjun to archana even once. why did she decide to bring this up? is she trying to brainwash ovi to make it easier for arjun and purvi to flirt around? secondly, what makes her think arjun is trying to make things work? his glum face? and thirdly, what makes her think its ok to tell her sensitive, unhappy, neglected pregnant daughter that she is the sole reason behind the failure of her marriage even after having heard her son in laws declaration of love for someone else 6-7 months back.she's a terrible mother. she ttly takes the kids she has with her for granted. if she really cant stop her actions from reflecting her preference for purvi over ovi, maybe she shud have let ovi go. savita shud go stay with ovi at arjuns. or better yet savita shud take ovi to canada for a relatively peaceful delivery. ovi shud not have anything to do with these two women or arjun.

Dear Tejaswini,
An excellent post.
@red is exactly what I feel too, and I have written that in my post on another thread that I had copied to this one. The curious thing is that in Kolkatta, the CVs showed Arjun as far more circumspect whatever he was feeling, than he is here. Now he seems downright surly with Ovi and longing with Purvi.
Well, Archana might not have recognised a short tune she heard once after so long, but the rest is spot on. She seems to be determinedly blind and deaf. Arjun's face when Ovi was singing to him should have set a lot of alarm bells ringing. But Archana sees things as odd only when Purvi is involved, and now Manav too is looking into that album affair??
Moreover, if Ankita is actually leaving very soon- and her wardrobe of late seems like a dress rehearsal for a new role more than anything else - then they cannot be thinking of replacing her. That would be suicidal. So perhaps she will vanish from the show one way or the other and much of what you feel so strongly about will get sorted out.

Excellent points guys
I agree that if Manav has accepted her as a daughter [ i do not believe in the illegal adoption by one parent alone without even sending the consent papers ...its a totally personal decision and has nothing to do with legality] and has asked her to make a home at his house with his family and children, she has a right to be there . He is of one mind with his wife on this one . So ...okay .But i want to point out one thing . When Arjun declared loudly in the party publicly his love for Purvi , Purvi left the city but she left from Karanjkar home by talking with the Karanjkars and bidding only them goodbye as if they were only her real family .She did not even tell the Deshmukhs of her decision . She had moved in with the Deshmukhs by then . But the moment she takes important decisions she takes them only at Karanjkar home by talking over with Sulochana and Archana . Archana met her there when she took the decision and Manav was clueless about it till Archana told him .For all the ' Baba , my Baba stuff' the Baba was not even told respectfully before taking this big step .. Is this the way someone treats a Baba .Neither did i see Archana telling her 'at least tell your Baba .' It is common courtesy , especially when the man has not minded this strange one sided adoption and been immensely broadminded about it and yet welcomed the adopted child with open arms .What i feel isFor Purvi the real parent is only Archana and the real family is only the Karanjkars .She does this ' Baba and Dada ' stuff only to gain a foothold in the family of her dreams , but takes important decisions by keeping the Deshmukhs and ' Baba' out ,by only discussing with her real family .And if this is the case , right now she could have been a bit more sensitive and not plonked herself there and made things so uncomfortable .
Excellent point Kool, and it makes sense too since Purvi grew up in Karanjkar household, so her feeling and association is greater with the Ks than the Ds. So, her walking into D's household and eyelocking with Arjun is hard to take.
On a side note, I just swa the TRps for this week. Man, I am impressed. The Indian audience liked Purvi/onir moving forward and their romance (TRP last week 3.8), but not Purvi/Arjun eyelocking. My faith in the Indian audience is restored😊, but the saddest fact is that Cvs are mega-confused and do not know their own 'Indian' audience😉 (they could check your thread kool for guidance😉😆, if they are ever confused). See, they experimented with Purvi/Onir with a simple romance, and it rocked (but hey, then the TRPs were not being published so they doubted themselves😃), but I guess they started shooting for this week's episode in advance, thinking that Arjun/Purvi Jodi is popular (and doubting their own ability to create romance with Purvi/Onir😕), and they come back with 3.2 TRP. I guess, we will see Purvi/Onir and Arjun/Ovi more next week. Cvs are a confused lot 😆😉🤣
Varsha Kool, not feeling well at all yaar, have the chills and sore throat, taking Tylenol, let hope I am running soon yaar, can't afford to be sick and working, not to mention taking care of kids…
As for PR, it is utter disgusting for all the crap there are trying to show. A girl preggo with hubby's kid (I hardly think Indian audience figured out it might be Arjun), comes to maikka start romancing with Jeeju and talking about not loving hubby but some kind of 'friendship'. Most Indian audience well accustomed to successful arranged marriages will puke at this simply. This is promiscuous according to Indian outlook.
The daughter sings romantic songs, tries to save marriage from sister, but hubby looks with a grumpy face at wife, but preggo his lawfully wedded wife….most Indian finds the boy lucha lufanga..
Right now Arjun/Purni hardly passes the yardstick that makes them a positive lead character of a show with moral values and being exemplary with character. Rather, they appear as the villains of the show, both cheating their respective spouses.
As for all of the elders including the parents being blind, that is again laughable and stupidity for an extremely conservative audience. Same true for Teju's romance. Which Indian parent is that forward that they accept a roadside romance without blinking an eye, besides, every Indian household always wishes to marry their daughters better and wealthier; this is contradictory in so many fronts – the Guys isn't is in some good job, running errands for a family business, why will a father who is himself successful, even agree to such a marriage. This is romancing or glorifying poor, it is utter crap that Cvs are dishing out in the name of Pavitra rishta….unbelievable storyline…seriously, we need some stronger characters in PRland, only Onir isn't enough….
