Chapter 50: Broken Mirrors
October 16^th, 2012: Deshmukh Residence, 9:00 p.m.
Savita: *watching soaps on TV*
Teju: *in her room reading her book*
Sachin and Trisha, Archana and Manav: *in their rooms*
Soham: *in his room*
Kunjal: *cleaning up in the kitchen*
Savita: *looks at Kunjal's reflection in the living room mirror with a look of sympathy*

Soham walks out from his room and walks into the kitchen, completely ignoring Kunjal, who had her back to him. He takes out a glass from the cabinet, and goes to go get water, just as Kunjal backs up after washing the last dish. Not knowing he was there, Kunjal bumps into Soham, causing him to drop the glass. She immediately turns pale and is about to apologize, but Soham, is very angry.
Soham: Teri paas aankein nahi hai ka!?
Kunjal: *jumps*
Soham: Dekhe nahi chal sakti!?
Manav, Archana, Teju, Sachin and Trisha all ran out of their rooms respectively.
Kunjal: *silently starts crying*
Soham: Don't start crying! Koi teri aahun se teri liye sorry nahi feel karne wala hai! Tumko pata hai ke teri vajese sabko kitne takleef hota hai, aur uski uppar bhi aap aise natakein karti hai!? Bandh kijiye! Koi nahin sun na chahta!
Kunjal: *still silently crying*
Soham: Teri aas paas hi kyun aise hote hain haan? Pehle zabardasti se phirse ghar mein aati hai, aura b mujko pani bhi nahins hanta se peene deti!? Sun, jabse tu iss ghar mein aayi na—
Savita: Soham! Enough!
Soham: *looks at Savita, then at Kunjal again and then walks out of the kitchen ignoring everyone else*
Archana & Manav: *turn and walk slowly back into their room*
Sachin & Trisha: *go inside their room again*
Teju: *goes back in too*
Savita: *sits down again*
Kunjal looked at Savita with a look mixed with confusion and gratitude. She stopped crying and got out a broom and started sweeping up the glass. She threw everything away, and put the broom up. She went back into the kitchen and realized that she forgot a piece. On going to reach for it, she cuts her hand very badly.
Kunjal: Ow! *jumps up*
Savita: *looks back at the kitchen, to find Kunjal holding her hand in pain, and turns away slowly in thought. When she looks back, Kunjal is gone.*

Kunjal: Teju… do you know where the first aid is?
Teju: Yeah, it's in the—wait what happened!?
Kunjal: Nothing, I just cut my hand from the glass.
Teju: Oh, let me see!*walks over to observe her hand*
Kunjal: *gasps*
Teju: Sorry… it's really deep. I'll wrap it for you. *takes her into Soham's room to wrap it*
Kunjal: *keeps jumping every time Teju touches it*
Teju: Kunjal, if I don't touch it, then I can't wrap it. Stop jumping!
Kunjal: It hurts…
Teju: I realize that, but be strong.
Kunjal: *nods as Teju finishes up*
Teju: Okay, so now you know where it is. Just change the bandage twice a day and you should be fine.
Kunjal: *nods*
Teju: And be careful next time, too. *smiles and walks out*
Kunjal: *looks at her wrapped hand and walks out as well*
Soham saw the whole scene from his balcony.

October 17^th, 2012: Mumbai, 10:00 a.m.
Ranvir: *holding his face where Purvi slapped him yesterday*
Jhanvi: *walks into the room and sits down next to him* Are you still mad about the burnt toast?
Ranvir: *looks at Jhanvi annoyed* NO.
Jhanvi: *looks relieved, but then gets tensed again* Then why are you mad?
Ranvir: You see this? *points to his cheek*
Jhanvi: See what? It's just your cheek.
Ranvir: No. It's the place where Purvi slapped me yesterday.
Jhanvi: *gasps*
Ranvir: Mrs. Kirloskar, you're going to deeply regret slapping me.
Jhanvi: Ranvir… whatever you do, think about it with a calm mind.
Ranvir: If hurting Purvi directly, isn't going to work, then I'll hurt the people that mean the most to her.
Jhanvi: Ranvir, because of that one thing, you've done so many illegal things to hurt people.
Ranvir: But I haven't been caught right?
Jhanvi: But that doesn't mean that you won't be this time. Is it necessary?
Ranvir: It's necessary. She won't know what—or who hit her.
Jhanvi: *takes a deep, annoyed breath* Be careful. That's all I have left to say.

THIS IS A FILLLER PART, SO I APOLOGIZE FOR THE HORRENDOUSLY SHORT LENGTH! Just know that the next chapter will be super duper dramatic though! This part was just to set up for that… 😉
Soham has resorted to dealing with his pain through anger, and sadly Kunjal's been affected by it. Teju is still really supportive of Kunjal, and looks like Savita is starting to feel sorry for her. Who is Ranvir targeting now!?
