Chapter 48: Heartache Part 3
October 15^th, 2012: Kirloskar Residence, 8:30 a.m.
*ding dong*
DK: Teju, Trisha? You two' here?
Teju: How are you uncle?
DK: I'm fine. Vahan' sab kuch kaise hai?
Trisha: Kuch theek nahi hai.
Teju: Soham aur Aai are both being delusional and trying to ignore everything that happened yesterday. The entire house is just gloomy.
DK: Ah, I see.
Trisha: Teju'?
Teju: Haan. Lekin Uncle, hum kisi aurbaat se yahan aaye hai.
DK: Achcha? What do you need?
Trisha: Uncle, despite everything that happened, we want to take Kunjal back with us. If she's willing.
DK: *sits back in though* Okay. Kunjal ko toh pata hain, but I'm more worried about what Purvi will say.
Teju: Uncle aap Purvi ki bare mein chinta na karo. I'll handle her.
DK: Well, mujhe toh kuch problem nahi hai, as long as you two know where you're going with this.
Trisha: Haan Uncle.
DK: Jab'*phone starts ringing* Oh, I'll have to take this. Whenever Purvi comes down, you guys can figure out what you need to do. I have to go. Good luck.
Teju: Thanks Uncle.
DK: *leaves*
Trisha: Purvi abhi tak uthi nahi?
Teju: Trisha, it's been a long night. I don't blame her.
Purvi: *coming downstairs* Teju?
Teju: Purvi?
Purvi: Aap log yahan?
Trisha: Hum aapse kuch baat karni thi.
Purvi: Theek hain, mein abhi aati hoon. *leaves to go get water*
Teju: Trisha, dekha? Purvi's still wearing what she wore to the wedding, which is even more proof that she probably slept in that, which means that she was stressed which means'
Trisha: Teju, I get it. Oh my, Arjun bhi abhi ghar pein hain.
Teju: My point exactly. We need to go through with this.
Arjun: *coming downstairs* Tej? Aap yahan?
Teju: Haan, I came to talk to Purvi.
Arjun: Okay. Have you seen my dad by any chance?
Trisha: He was outside on the phone'

Purvi: *sits down* Haan, toh kya baat thi?
Trisha and Teju look at one another.

October 15^th, 2012: Deshmukh Residence, 9:00 a.m.
Purvi, Teju, and Trisha all arrive at the Deshmukh home'with Kunjal. Purvi, who had changed and gotten cleaned up, did the same with Kunjal, who was dressed like she usually was, except for the fact that she was married now.
*ding dong*
Sachin opens the door, following the plan to make Kunjal's arrival as smooth as possible.
Sachin: Teju app kahan gayi' thi.
Teju: *stands silently*
Manav: Teju, why did you bring her here. This isn't the time for this.
Teju: Pata hai Baba.
Soham: *walks out from his room* Kya hua? *looks to door and gets angry seeing Kunjal* Baba, why is she here?
Manav: *stands by quietly*
Soham: *walks over to Sachin at the door* Sachin, ask them why they brought her here.
Purvi: Bas Dada.
Soham: *looks surprised at her*
Purvi: You know very well why we brought Kunjal here.
Soham: Really Purvi?
Archana: *walks out of her room and watches alongside everyone else*
Purvi: She's your wife, Dada.
Soham: Mein yeh shaadi ko puri hui nahin manta hoon. Voh meri patni nahi hain. Samjhi na Purvi!?
Purvi: Dada'
Soham: Joh bhi bolti ho Purvi, voh meri soch ko nahi badelga.
Purvi: Theek hai. Tera phesla nahin badelegi, aur nahi mera. Kunjal teri patni hai, aur voh issi hi ghar mein rahengi.
Soham: Achcha? Aise logon ko ghar ki undar laana chahti ho?
Purvi: Aap aise baat kar rahe ho jaise aap koi Saint ho.
Savita looks to Manav worried.
Soham: Purvi! Stay within your limits!
Purvi: That goes to you too.
Teju: *rests her hand on Purvi's shoulder*
Soham: Iss ladki ke liye aap apni hi Dada ke saath aise baat kar rahi hai?
Purvi: Haan. Kyun, koi problem hai?
Soham: *looks away annoyed*
Teju: Purvi'
Purvi: Aur kuch bolna hai Dada, ya phir mein Kunjal ko le kar undar aa sakti hoon?
Soham: You're the one who's acting like you own me. Why don't you do it on your free will? Who am I to stop you?
Purvi: That's right. Trisha, Teju? Hum log abhi bhar kyun khade hai? Chale?
Soham: *now directing himself to Teju* Teju, zabardasti se aap log usko undar laa rahe ho, lekin ek baat dhyaan se sun na. I have no idea what your intentions are from this, but usko meri nazar se hata ke rakhna.
Teju: *looks at Manav to get them to stop*
Purvi: Wait a minute. Aap pehle se Kunjal ki itne insult kar rahe ho, aur phir uski uppar aap Teju ko ke rahe ho ke Kunjal ko teri nazar se hata ke rakhna? Wow? Aap toh kamal ke ho.
Soham: Aapse kya lena dena hai!
Purvi: Sab kuch. Kunjal teri nazar ki layak nahi hai, toh phir mat dekho uski taraf.
Soham: Aap'
Purvi: *cuts him off* Aur yeh Purvi ke rahi. Teri chhoti behen nahi.
Soham: *is taken aback*
Archana: *jaw drops*
Purvi: Teju, who are you waiting for? Take Kunjal inside.
To stop this argument from going further, Teju and Trisha take Kunjal in slowly. Archana leaves the room mad. Manav, Savita and Sachin are neutral. Teju turns back to give Purvi a sisterly look, right before Soham slams the door shut and goes into his room.
Purvi: *stands at the door with tears falling from her eyes, and takes a deep breath before walking away*

October 15^th, 2012: Kirloskar Residence, 12:30 p.m.
Purvi: *sits down on the couch slowly*
DK: Did you have lunch, Purvi?
Purvi: *nods*
DK: What's wrong?
Purvi: I don't know'
DK: You can tell me, you know.
Purvi: That's not the case it's just' I'm worried about Kunjal' over there. Especially after what Dada said.
DK: Purvi, I understand what you're thinking, but you really don't need to worry. Kunjal has Teju and Trisha there for her.
Purvi: Right.
DK: And you know that if anything ever goes wrong, they'll be there to support her, and she even has all of us here.
Purvi: Haan.
DK: See? Now lighten up, and answer my first question truthfully.
Purvi: *looks shocked* Aapko kaise pata'I mean'
DK: Purvi, you'll be surprised at what all I know about that happens in this house. Now, I want you to go eat your lunch. Worrying like this and then on top of that, not eating isn't making anyone's situation better.
Purvi: But'
DK: *gently* Go.
Purvi: *gets up and nods and starts to walk away, but then stops* Baba?
DK: Hmm?
Purvi: Thanks.
DK: It's only the truth.
Purvi: *nods and walks away with a slight smile*
Arjun, who was standing in the doorway of a nearby room the entire time, stood there smiling at the development between his father and his wife. After realizing that he had been standing there smiling for about 5 minutes, he walked away.
*in the kitchen*
Purvi: Riya, aap kya dhoond rahi ho?
Riya: *snaps* Nothing.
Purvi: *jumps*
Riya: *takes a deep breath* Sorry. I didn't get any sleep last night and now I'm just cranky.
Purvi: Koi baat nahi. Aur Nikhil, Seher? Aap dono kitchen ke counter ke uppar kyun beth gaye ho? Bahar itne bada table rakha hua hai bethne ke liye.
Nikhil: Bhabhi, mujhe voh sab pata hai, lekin uss table iss daily soap jiski star Riya hai voh dekhne nahin milte.
Riya: *turns around and punches him in the stomach and walks out of the kitchen*
Nikhil: *tries to breathe without showing pain*
Purvi: *tries not to laugh at Nikhil* You totally deserved that. *starts laughing*
Seher: *bursts out laughing with her*
Nikhil: It's not funny!
Seher: Yes! It is hilarious!
Purvi: *shakes her head smiling*

October 15^th, 2012: Deshmukh Residence, 10:30 p.m.
Later that night, Kunjal is sitting on the floor staring off at the ground. She is in Soham's room, right next to the door. Soham, who was taking a shower, won't even make eye contact with her. When he walks out of the shower, he is surprised to see Kunjal sitting there on the floor. Not wanting to have anything to do with her, he doesn't say anything and let's her sleep on the floor, while he comfortably snores in his bed.
October 16^th, 2012: Deshmukh Residence, 7:00 a.m.
*in the kitchen*
Teju: Trisha, can you hand me a spoon for Baba's chai?
Trisha: Haan. *hands her the spoon*
Teju: I'll go set the table. Kunjal, can you get me the plates from over there?
Kunjal: *nods, but doesn't look up and hands her the plates*
Teju and Trisha look at each other, worried.
Teju: *tries again* Thanks.
Kunjal: *nods, but doesn't look up*
Trisha: Jao.
Teju: *nods*

Archana, who was coming into the kitchen to see what was for breakfast, momentarily forgot about Kunjal. She didn't think that she would be in the kitchen. However, she had observed the scene and hand and walked away before Teju could come out with the plates.
*in Soham's room*
On the other hand, the rather well slept Soham woke up at the sound of neighbors arguing outside his window. He, unlike Archana, hadn't forgotten about Kunjal. Thinking she would still be on the floor like last night, or at least in the chair asleep, he woke up surprised that she wasn't even in the room or the bathroom. He finally got the message that Kunjal was probably outside.

Precap: Savita back to being a dectective, Kunjal's parents find out the real truth
Trisha and Teju are now confirmed that something is definitely not right in this fiasco. In order to make everyone realize that, they bring Kunjal back to the Deshmukh Residence, but Kunjal isn't exactly living the life. Archana seems to be observing her closely' does she feel bad?

Chapter 49: Anger Issues
October 16^th, 2012: Sharma Residence, 9:00 a.m.
*ding dong*
Mrs. Sharma opens the door, but almost closes it seeing Purvi.
Purvi: *stops her* Aunty, aap mujhko aise aapki ghar se bhar rakh sakti.
Mrs. Sharma: Purvi, main kuch nahi sun na chahti.
Purvi: Please Aunty! M'mujhko undar aane do.
Mrs. Sharma: *angrily opens the door*

Mr. Sharma: Purvi beta, sach mein, aap kyun koshish kar rahi ho. Mein aise sab kuch nahi bhul sakta hoon.
Mrs. Sharma: *nods in compliance*
Purvi: Uncle, Aunty manti hoon ke joh kuch bhi hua galat tha, lekin *takes a deep breath*jab Kunjal sab kuch explain kar rahi thi, voh ek bohot badi cheez bhuk gayi kahani mein.
Mrs. Sharma: Lekin Ranvir ke saath voh sab toh hua na!?
Purvi: *shakily says* Aunty, plese mujhe sab kuch explain karne do. Please.
Mr. Sharma looks at Mrs. Sharma to calm her down.
Mr. Sharma: Theek hai.
Purvi: *re-explains the real truth this time*
Mrs. Sharma: *hurt, shocked, every such expression known to man*
Purvi: *in tears again* Please, aap log meri parivaar walon ko kuch mat bataye. Kunjal has her reason for leaving details out, and I want her to fix her mess herself. She'll only be stronger that way.
Mr. Sharma: *crying as well* I can't believe we didn't even ask her'
Mrs. Sharma: Purvi, I'll agree with your deal only if you bring Kunjal here so we can apologize.
Purvi: I will! I'll do right now, for that matter. Please, just try to stay strong throughout this. Please.
Mr. and Mrs. Sharma agree.

October 16^th, 2012: Deshmukh Residence, 10:00 a.m.
Purvi: *getting out of the cab* Kitne huyi? Yeh loh. *walks out, but stops on seeing someone*
Ranvir: Arre Purvi! I didn't think I'd see you here.
Purvi: *walks up to him and without thinking slaps him straight across the face* This, *takes a deep breath* is way overdue.
Ranvir: *slowly stands back up*
Purvi: I'm not weak, you understand that! Don't forget, that no matter how much you try and play around with my life, with the people that are important to me, I know you well enough to figure out where you screwed up.
Ranvir: *sarcasm* That explains why I'm not in jail yet.
Purvi: Mr. Ranvir Rawat, I will win this battle. It's been going on for way too long.
Ranvir: We'll see, Mrs. Purvi Kirloskar. We'll see.
Purvi: *walks away angrily*
*outside the house*
Purvi: Arjun, aap yahan?
Arjun: *apparently angry* Haan, kyun?
Purvi: Kya hua?
Meanwhile, Savita is inside the house next to an open window'.
Arjun: Purvi, maine aapko kitne baar mana kiya hai Ranvir ki saath panga leni. Voh bhi especially when you're alone, okay! It's not safe.
Purvi: Arjun, calm down! I'm fine, right?
Arjun: Something could've happened Purvi! I don't need you raking risks like this, especially when he's already messed up so much stuff.
Purvi: Okay, I'm sorry.
Arjun: *takes a breath and looks away* This isn't a game Purvi. He could seriously hurt you.
Purvi: Arjun, I'm sorry na. M'mujhe maaf kar do please! I won't do it again, I promise.
Arjun: It's okay.
*awkward silence*
Purvi: Arjun, I talked to Kunjal's parents.
Savita: *still at the window*
Arjun: Aur kya hua?
Purvi: They want to apologize to Kunjal. Mein ussi ko lene yahan aayi thi.
Arjun: That's great, Purvi. *smiles* Uh, well I have to go now, but good luck. Haan, be careful too. *rests his hand on her face for a second before leaving*
Savita: *sees everything from the window inside, then leaves*
Purvi: *stands there holding her cheek for a few seconds before ringing the bell*
*ding dong*
Teju: Purvi, aap?
Purvi: Teju, mein Kunjal se thodi der ke liye bahar le sakti hoon?
Teju: Haan, mujhe kyun puch rahi ho? Kunjal!
Kunjal: *slowly walks up to the door*
Purvi: Kunjal, mein aapko thodi der ke liye bahar le jaane thi. Koi problem nahin haina?
Kunjal: *nods her head no*
Purvi: Chalo.

October 16^th, 2012: Sharma Residence, 10:30 a.m.

Kunjal: *looks at Purvi, confused*
Purvi: *nods her head*
*ding dong*
Mrs. Sharma opens the door again, this time extremely happy that Purvi brought back Kunjal.
Mrs. Sharma: Aao.

Mr. Sharma: Kunjal, kuch toh bolo.
Mrs. Sharma: Haan, kuch toh bolo. It's been three says since you've talked!
Kunjal: *continues staring at the floor*
Purvi: Kya soch rahi hai Kunjal?
Kunjal: *still stares*
Mrs. Sharma: Please Kunjal, humko maaf kar do. Please.
Kunjal: *looks up*
Mr. Sharma: Purvi ne hum dono ko sab kuch sach sach batayi. Teri saath itne kuch hua hai aur phir bhi aap humko kuch nahi kehti? Kunjal, mein tera papa hoon!
Kunjal: *looks at Purvi*
Mrs. Sharma: Kunjal, please, kuch toh bolo.
Kunjal: *stands up shocked*
Everyone else followed suit.
Mr. Sharma: Kya hua Kunjal? Voh sab teri galti nahi thi! Toh phir apne aap ko kyun sataa rahi hai?
Mrs. Sharma: Humko maaf nahi karogi tum?
Mr. Sharma: Kunjal, please? Apni papa ke liye?
Kunjal: *starts crying* Papa! *hugs her parents in the group hug*
Purvi: *stands by smiling*
After a long while, the family stopped crying and sat back down.
Mr. Sharma: Lekin mujhko ek baat samajh mein nahi aa raha hai. Aap yeh sab kyun kar rahi ho?
Kunjal: Papa, I don't want to cause anyone any more pain. I've thought things through, and yes the way I'm hiding the full truth from everyone may seem harsh on myself, but this is the only way for them to find out the least painfully.
Mrs. Sharma: Kunjal, you don't have to fight this alone. You have us, and Purvi, and Teju and Trisha.
Kunjal: Nahin Ma. This is my mess, my problem, and I'll fight it alone. I want everyone to find out in the least painful way possible, but also ensuring that he gets his punishment.
Mr. Sharma: But, why are you doing things this way? Why not just tell them?
Kunjal: Papa, it's not the right time. Jab waqt sahi hai, phir mein bataungi.
Mrs. Sharma: Kunjal, be careful, and just know that we're always there for you.
Mr. Sharma: Haan beta! Koi bhi problem ho, toh phir hum haina?
Kunjal: *nods*
Purvi: Kunjal, I've seen you somewhat happy after a while. It feels really good.
Kunjal: *turns to Purvi and whispers* Thank you, Purvi. *hugs her*
Purvi: *after a while, breaks away* I think we should go now. It's been a long while.
Kunjal: *nods* Bye Ma, bye papa.
Mr. Sharma: Bye.

October 16^th, 2012: Kirloskar Residence, 5:00 p.m.
Purvi: *looking through a photo album happily and laughing*
Arjun: *sits on the couch next to her* What are you doing?
Purvi: Nothing. *continues looking at pictures and laughing*
Arjun: Dad, isn't this that photo album'?
DK: Which one? I have a lot? *smiles*
Arjun: Dad! You know which one!
Purvi: *laughs at another picture*
DK: No, I don't. Purvi, what's in that photo album? *tries not to laugh*
Purvi: Oh, nothing. *flips the page* Just some baby pictures'
Arjun: Dad!
DK: What? *continues trying not to laugh*
Seher: Mein jhoot nahin bolne wali, but you were a chubby baby. *giggles*
Arjun: *closes his eyes in frustration* Purvi, give me the album.
Purvi: Why!? This is so much fun!
Seher: Exactly!
Arjun: Purvi, give me the album.
Purvi: No.
Arjun: Give me the album.
Purvi: *shakes her head*
Arjun: I said give me the album.
Purvi: *closes the album and turns to him* But I said no.
Arjun: We don't need to find out how this ends do we?
Purvi: Well does it end?
Arjun: Like this! *takes the album and runs*
Purvi: Hey! *gets up and chases him*
DK: *finally bursts out laughing*
Seher: *laughs as well*
Purvi: Give it back! You were such a cute baby!
Arjun: No, I was not! *keeps running around the couch*
Purvi: Please! *keeps chasing*
Arjun: No! *keeps running*
Riya: *walks into the room* Should I ask?
Arjun: No. *keeps running*
Purvi: I want to finish looking at his baby pictures! They were really cute!
Riya: Well I wondered what happened since then? That's obviously not the case now.
Arjun: *stops running* I'll deal with you later.
Purvi: *sneaks up behind him and grab the album and runs to their room*
Arjun: Hey! *turns around, but Purvi had closed the door* This is your fault.
Riya: Really now? Does it look like I care?
Arjun: *shakes his head and sits back down on the couch next to Seher*
Seher: *starts laughing again*
Arjun: *leans back into the couch and covers his face with a pillow*
