Hi dears,
Its been a while since I opened up a thread to say something 😆..I was wondering since this is weekend now let me step back and take a moment to see what is PR all about..Pooja dear (pari87) posted a wonderful objective summary of various view points of all of us which made me think so what is PR all about eventually..In all the senseless crap ditched ,I being a hopeless fool (HRF member 😆) who has been watching this show for 3 long years was wondering what is PR all about according to me 😊
So thought let me start first with this :

For many new folks who might not have seen the original title song of PR which captivated millions to watch the show ,there you go my dears..
PR is no regular show..Its show to say that Love can happen anytime in life.Marriage does not guarantee love nor it could be said love cannot happen after marriage.PR is formulated on the basis of two people Manav - Archana living in chawls of Mumbai (lower middle class sector) burdened with responsibilities of a long family which includes their siblings can also fall in love .Love is timeless ,ageless and can happen to anyone which is what PR is all about .
Even Arman marriage started with lies (with fact hidden that Manav was a mechanic and not engineer as stated - Coaxed my Manju to instigate Savita to lie to take revenge on Sulo,dont want to go into details on it ,will take a life-time 😆) but the fact that when two good souls unite,its union of their souls which was happened.
PR is remake of tamil version of 'Thirumathi Selvam' - my mom watches it 😆 which is again Ekta's only. Ekta for a change never had leaps in the original tamil version and nor did Senior Sachu ever died there it seems but in all this mess the message of the show that time was very clear that Love can happen at any time to anyone and at anytime be it before marriage or after marriage.
Arman's love blossomed in those short one month period after marriage before Ajit screwed it bad for them.But from then its been always a struggle till now for them.Their life took various ups and turns but they always were shown loving each other only and never anyone else ever.That soul - soul connection was always there.Three long years various ups and downs in their life ,their life destructed but they always loved each other and always will .
This show started as a epitome for many to state that love can happen to you and its not a filmy concept.Its bound par religion,caste,money but just a mere union of two souls.
Things have changed drastically and hence many old fans who are still watching the show (apart from me 😆) feel really sad about the way the show and the main characters Arman have been destructed.
I believe the same is being put on Arvi. They are trying to show it as the same soul -soul connection but with a modernized approach.
Arman were from secular lower middle class who sacrificed everything - their dreams,education,wishes in the name of responsibilities whereas Arvi are from the educated class who eventually fell on the sacrifice trap that their parents followed.
Manav and Archu's life curve will have its impact on their children and its impacted them.
Arvi are portrayed to be next Manav - Archana who being from the current educated class are shown to believe the robust concepts their parents believed (i.e) Love needs to be selfless which means giving and not taking which means sacrificing for others happiness.
Ekta's motto has been to portray as Arman as these sacrificial lambs who are selfless enough to sacrifice everything for not only for their love but for others.
Arvi are being portrayed the same.In the end Arvi might eventually re-unite with the same soul-soul connection that was shown exited between Arman.The one difference here is Ekta seems to try to show the current trend that exits in our society (not at all blaming anyone here).We see many cases of marriages taken for granted and Marrying someone first and then the couple realizing that they dont belong to each other and move on trend is quite common.So I feel Ekta is trying to cater to that group now(As ridiculous as it sounds I could come up with only such a senseless reasoning for such atrocity shown).She had catered to the group of one marriage love scenario with Arman and now she is experimenting with 2 marriage love scenario with Arvi.As farce as it sounds but I guess Ekta is trying to show that Soul -Soul connection surpasses all.
I will never understand Ekta's concepts or her take on marriage but PR has told me one thing that is Love is timeless,ageless and can happen to anyone at any point of time be it middle class,upper class or lower middle class.
PR gave me two good souls Manav - Archu coming from typical middle class sector falling in love which is a encouragement for many normal bystanders like me to say that Love can happen to you as well.
That one message I take it from PR.😊
PS : Dears this is just my take on what PR might stand for..Dont worry I am not defending Ekta in any sense but trying to convince myself that Jai there is something to take for watching this show for 3 long years 😆. Just a friendly post..😉
