Im just liking all the posts on this thread.
Everyone's comments are good already and all the arguments are sensiblee and impassioned. No need for me to add anything.
Except of course to say Miss Shyamala, once again great post, excellent writing... and for me great subtle humour. Welcome back officially!!!

Even I was thinking why this whole 'Kelvan' thing is required.
Here is the only thing I can think of -

Maybe Purvi will not overhear Archana talk about Ovi's offer to Sulo at all.
Punni might give a day or two and then when she doesn't see things proceeding, probably she might call-up/meet-up with Purvi to chide her about her going away happily married and leaving her mother alone, which is something Purvi already is worrying about. Since Punni has already displayed herself as the good girl doing this Kelvan thing, she might emotionally blackmail Purvi to step-up and become the good girl now. And according to them a "good-girl" is someone who will give up marriage to take care of her mother.

Bee, Great thought and Idea... and yes, the kelvan act has to be utilised for some "greater good" somewhere. but... I shudder to think this is it...that would mean we wont be watching PR anymore... we would be watching "Emotional Blackmail Rishtas"
1. Ovi to Archu
2. Punni to Purvi
3. Purvi to Arjun
4. Sachin to Archu
5. Savita to Manav
Who's next?

That was what was puzzling to me, bee. Didnt get it, think something else is slated for it. Ur idea is ok but still not convinced completely. Got to think more .. It is 11 in the night here and I have to leave for work at 6 in the morning, and look at what I am doing. Sheer madness!! But, I am wide awake to out think Ms.Punni :)

Isnt it almost a week since we saw teju?? Hmm..

BtW, i really wanted that kulfi on a stick ! Got me homesick :( reminded me of the vijaya or even the kwality kulfi that I used to have in hyd. And also my grandparents house, where a guy used to come selling them in those cone shaped metal containers kept cooling in a mud pot. Those were the days :(
On that note, will sign off for now..

Kulfi from the Indian store, ice cream on a stick for a $1 does nicely for me. It is only the pedas that I miss, nothing like those Nandini doodh pedas from B'lore and the diary doodh pedas (forget the name f the Tamilnadu dairy) from Chennai.

Goodnite everyone! Sweet ARVI dreams!

Archana,

@red.
I agree with you completely.

@ blue. I think Ovi wants Archana to organise the delivery of Arjun as well.

As for Purvi turning into a hostile witness for the prosecution (aah, the wonders of Christie and Hitchcock! For those words to be used in connection with this trashy serial is sacrilege), how will that help achieve her SOLE objective now, to cashier the divorce? There seems to be no evident connection. The writers seem to have drifted away from that line over the past few days since I wrote my Purvi's Delusions post.
The second CVs crew might have checked in, and they might not be aware of that Purvi-Archana passage at all!

Even if Purvi did that, for whatever reason, Arjun might be angry, even very angry ,but would he be angry enough to give up on Purvi or to postpone the marriage? Not unless he was blindly jealous of Vishnu. Rationally, he should be more inclined to seek an appointment with good psychatrist!

It is all very confusing and irritating, as usual.

Well, Shyamala Didi...😆...I think you are certainly right in that we do have to gear ourselves up for a bumpy ride ahead!!! The only thing that is sticking with me and bothering me a bit is the conversation between Punni and Ovi. Ovi herself knows that Arjun does indeed have a mind of his own...and even Purvi breaking up with him is no guarantee that he will then turn to her.

Someone suggested Varsha being the catalyst...and although we dont know for sure who Purvi was walking towards outside...before the courtroom proceedings...there have been a couple of references made to Soham's Mai..and the respect/love he has for her. It seemed to me that Purvi was quite curious to see his "Mai"...I wonder if the CVs will somehow find a way to make Varsha find out the truth about Purvi being Archana's adopted daughter...not Manav's...and in turn Purvi, when she meets Varsha, will find out the truth about who Soham really is.
The idea of Purvi dropping the charges against her kidnapper and being sympathetic towards him is the only thing I can think of that would alienate Arjun, and cause a big enough misunderstanding for him to walk away. She promises Arjun that she will never leave him...so she has got to find a way to make him voluntarily upset enough with her as to agree to postpone their wedding. I feel there is nothing else that will work. I am a little hopeful and optimistic (this is probably dumb given the CVs track record but I still do want to keep the positive energy alive )...because Purvi at least tells Arjun that she has to stop her parents divorce. The fact that she tells him she has to stop it at any cost has no impact on him now...but perhaps it will dawn on him in the future so that he puts 2 and 2 together to figure out why his beloved has done this.
In which case Shyamala and Jyothi, we may get our wish. I say our wish because I too would like to see the shoe on the other foot for once, so to speak. (I know my Jhanvi, my dear Sambandh, you are not going to like this but I must stay true to self!) This has indeed been one-sided, and this situation would be an about-flip from the Ovi engagement fiasco----with Arjun being the wronged party and Purvi being the one who has to work to make him understand why she had to drop the charges against the person who caused them both so much grief-----and win him back.
It will be interesting to see. And we know there is no Arjun/Ovi marriage track planned for right now...so Jyothi in keeping with your optimism...I will tell you that regardless of the confirmation (again) from Jai's source (again, thank you my friend...as always)...and also regardless of Ekta's famous track record...Arjun willingly marrying Ovi is just not possible. He was not prepared to marry her even when he believed that Purvi did not love him back...before her confession remember? His feelings for Purvi were what mattered...the fact is that he is in love with someone else...regardless of whether she is with him or loves him back...he now knows what it feels like to be in love with someone...a sentiment he had never experienced before...and at that point he knew that he could never marry Ovi...nor will he. I say this with 100% confidence. There is no way he will do it willingly...Purvi or no Purvi.
Even if Purvi manages to anger and disgust him to the point of pushing him away...his love for her is just too deep for him to just forget her and move on. He will not be able to do so. So we will probably have another 2 month separation track until the truth is revealed, the misunderstanding is resolved, and they finally get married.

Vilasini my dear,

You see me prostrate with contrition ! Not a shashtang namaskar, or any variation thereof, as you must be much younger than I am, but a modest expression of regret at having contributed, inadvertently, to bursting your bubble of unalloyed romanticism.

Never mind, it will all come out well in the end, say by December 2013.

When Laurie does find that Bugatti or Lamborghini, she will have a chiller in the back seat for the Moet Chandon, or Dom Perignon, or whatever else she and Karan prefer!

I am just enjoying Arjun-Purvi's old age scene, thinking.."even at that age, does Purvi need cell phone in one hand.." and being in my own fantasy world.. Here u are.. brining us back to reality.. come on..
I am going tell myself 10 times that it is just going to be a passing cloud and ARVI will be together.. Arjun/RD worked so hard to get Purvi.
For a change, let Purvi be commited to the promise that she made to Arjun.
Shyamala.. Lauri is not going to stop with just lavish Suits & Perfumes..she is still shopping around for the best car for her guy.

Laurie dear,

If it is indeed going to be Category 5 hurricane, we had better all head for the storm shelter and batten down the hatches..

Dylan Thomas is just so right for this situation. Remember what I said in the beginning, of the sunlight fading?

Its not just a storm-a-brewing but a full fledged category five hurricane! Did the tea leaves reveal anything about the number of casualties?

You are absolutely correct. Arjun will not give up on Purvi with a simple "Arjun, you need to do this for me."

He has been to hell and back to prove to everyone, including her that he wants to be with Purvi regardless of what life throws at him and - being the warrior he is - he will not accept defeat.

So, if she has decided that she will 'force him' to walk away it will cause some hurt of magnanimous proportions for him. That I could not stomach!

If plan B comes to fruition then "Huzzah" all the way around and I shall only par take of the Dom Perignon if you and the ladies will join me? Perhaps some Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Rose instead? Or any 'poison' of your choice for that matter 😉

As for now - to my dear ARVI - "Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light." Dylan Thomas

Darlyne,

Thank you so much; I am glad you enjoyed it, even if it catalogues such dismal prospects. @red. I agree with you 101%.

Shyamala

Dear Shyamalaji, very very nice post. I have many things to say, but I don't want to. It will be a heart breaking future for ArVi fans at least for some times. I am giving up on Ekta and CV. I do feel that more we make requests to CV and care for ArVi, they will ruin them more. All because of TRP.😭[/QUOTE]
