The whole challenge scenario was unnecessary. Arjun could have been made to portray his heroics in a more sensible manner rather than this challenge scenario. This has made a mess of the situation with the entire blame going back to Archu with Purvi also angry on Archu and with no involvement of Manav in this and with DK giving more importance to his son's challenge and not his well being.DK has been the guy who has given wrong importance to wrong things at wrong times. Earlier more than his son's life his Australia trip was more important to him and now he expects Archu to do something to realize his son by making her feel guilty.Good time to do such non sense from DK when ur son is in jail.. I just hope some sense is brought back some how..Not sure how.

Jai 🤗

I knowww ! I always found a minimum of ten flaws in EVERY eppy ! 🤣

Now see, DK could have TOTALLY avoided that Australia trip. Moreover, Arjuuun could have always told Ovi/Manav before the engagement that he has fallen for Purvi. Come on, you dont forget to take a shower, or have food and HOW on earth could he possibly forget such a big thing 😆

Then Archana can always give everyone a taste of their own medicine but she believes in values which are ermm, lol, okay nevermind 😆

Purvi is almost 19 ( given that she a few months old when Arch adopted her and its been 18 years to the leap with the 6 months coming to an end 🤣 ), YET she's searching for a job by making use of the classifieds section and not for a nanny or a domestic helper 😆

Teju has started to follow Ovi with a slight hatke edge to it. Being the daughter of Manav, she happens to be a robot as well, but with two modes.

MODE 1 => Realisation of a need for fair treatment towards Archana which she calls insaaniyat.

MODE 2=> The favour returning crap after which she starts screaming at Archana and bad mouthing her all over again 🤢

Arjun as far as I know has become a love sick puppy who has forgotten the way he used to tackle with people. Its like love has made him docile and dumb. 😭

Hahahahahaha okaaay, I know, I've spoken too much 😛

Thank you for your wonderful analysis again. I tend to disagree here a bit...(As always agree to disagree 😊)..

This whole track of Arjun trying to prove his love being mechanic to earn 10,000 as a challenge provided by Archu has become a fiasco. Archu is made to look like a villian between Arjun n Purvi.
I wonder what is the purpose of this entire track. This on demand script non sense end result is such loose illogical storylines.
Manav has been made to look very weak re as you mentioned.
In fact dear as I see Arman are being made to look unreasonable parents to Arvi whereas they have every right to be angry on them but the way its shown being handled is a big mess. The challenge scenario is totally out of context and all this Manav is completely left out and is shown totally unaware of the situation. IT should be Archu n Manav together taking right actions and not this challenge scenario . I am appalled on how DK has agreed to such non-sense. What father would allow his son to get tortured in jail just for the sake of a senseless sacrifice.Does his son's challenge is more important than his well being...? Amazing ...DK really is calm under all circumstances coz the man can do nothing n keeps waiting forever...
What he expects Archu to do here..Is she all powerful to bail his son out based on the current situation...Great going DK...
Instead of the whole challenge fiasco there should be track where Arjun is proving that he is a victim of circumstance and situations thanks to his dad and take efforts to make Ovi understand and convince Manav n Archu that he is not wrong, instead this is going on a completely different track where he is shown as a one dimensional lover. Its good Arjun wants to prove himself and his love for Purvi but I think its also important that he also clears the air with Ovi by facing her ,have a good 1 -1 talk ,trying to make her understand. Its going to be tough to make Ovi understand but at least the effort needs to be there.Neither DK nor Arjun have been shown thinking about that instead Arjun is shown to be following Manav's path of being a mechanic and taking all mis fortunes like Manav.
I think CV's are confused. Manav is Manav and there is no one like him. Trying to make Arjun like Manav is destroying Arjun's character. Its depressing to see a MBA being a mechanic. IT would have been better had they shown Arjun working somewhere in a MNC. These kind of illogical nonsense is not helping TRP's.Unless CV's wake up here trp's dropping further is a reality.
Its high time they end this nonsense track ,unite Arvi and move on with next track if they have to survive. TRP's are taking a major hit for PR and Zee has put lot of pressure on Balaji for this to do something. At this rate nothing is going to help unless CV's open their eyes or old CV's come back to rescue the sinking ship

I totally agree with Shyamala on Purvi & DK's reaction.
Jay.. you have shown your frustration for few things.. Let me see whether I can say my view on few of those..
Purvi's anguish in the hospital when Archu asked her to not join her to the police station and Purvi & Arjun's eye lock, clearly shows their love and understanding..She couldnt see him in that place and she didnt want to cry or make a scene by seeing him alone. That could be one reason why she didnt go when Archana asked her to go & meet him. Archana also saw the pain in Purvi's face when she said that Nothing can be done today.
DK did the right thing.. As a Dad he told the cop what needed to be said. His answer to Archana was also perfect. Even if he accepts to help Arjun for Archana's sake, he knows that his son will not agree to that. He will like to fight it out without his Dad's help.
Arjun-Ovi missing convo..Jay, Arjun clearly told her that she is just a friend to him and requested her to accept the reality. Do you think he has to spend 5 episodes consoling her..No.
Regarding TRP thing...Dont know whether Rajesh Joshi is still the script writer for PR.
Few days back he had mentioned this in an article..
"As a writer, when we keep writing stories and there are times when it comes to a point 'now what?' Then producers and writers take the decision that such a story can be incorporated and we tend to experiment with the storyline," said writer Rajesh Joshi, who has penned shows like "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi", "Kkusum" and "Pavitra Rishta".
What does it say to you.. Looks like they are experimenting with the storyline now.

Shyamala - i always look forward to your analyses which are more informative and entertaing than watching the show. I second the request made on this thread that you post your thoughts on each episode unless the creativity of the writers leaves you with nothing to speculate or you are dumbfounded after watching the show and you lose your mind to any creative thought or even you are too numb to type...

I love the characterization developed by Rachel. Please keep it coming...

Havent watched the show yet but feel like i have seen it a couple hunderd times just reading this forum...

Dear Shyamala,
wow! What an extensive and complete write up on the episode today.👏

I am glad we are on the same page as regards to Purvi today.

About the CVs, here is a simple thing - they create "issues" for the characters and the person who steps up to resolve the issues (going out of the way and using all their energies) would be the HEROINE. This is a general rule of thumb for all desi-serials, atleast on Zee. So, it had to be Archana who had to come to Arjun's rescue.

So, Archana came to Arjun's rescue and how! She not just tells the right thing at the right time to the Police who come inquiring at the hospital, she even goes to the police station to give the statement and if that was not enough, PLEADS, yeah PLEADS with tearful eyes to DK to rescue his own son!
In all this, I am glad, they did not make DK a villain, but instead gave him the lines, "Arjun, who has set out on a mission to prove himself would deny his help".

Archana once again became Mahaan by pleading DK to understand the situation and by begging to rescue Arjun from this situation. An average viewer might think how magnanimous of Archana, forgetting that Arjun's state today was solely because of her and her illogical challenge, which I am not sure if Archana herself understands or not. I really want her to understand it and utter it in the upcoming episodes that Arjun is in mess because of her and only her.

Hi Vgiri glad to hear ur views 😊..
To put in short for me a son's life is more important than anything else. Just coz Arjun won't accept help and just coz of Archu's illogical challenge (first of all DK should not agreed to this nonsense) DK just saying over phone to the police is it enough ? Who will save Arjun.
IF tomorrow something happens is DK going to wait for that moment. ...I wonder...Just to reply back to Archu or show Archu is wrong ,this does not seem to be the right time.
Is making Archu realize her illogical challenge more important than Arjun's state.
What can Archu do here..How can she bail Arjun out.. Pragmatically she has nothing to bail Arjun...Any father would not sit wait n watch his son getting destroyed just for the sake of a challenge..
As far as Arjun -Ovi convo goes..Well Just saying once now so late that u are my friend ,will it solve or make Ovi understand. She has been in love with the man right from young age and its expected that with one so called Convo she should understand...
Arjun has never seriously made effort to clear the air there..AS far as I have seen after the truth came out Arjun has been caught up with the challenge scenario and has been made to think one dimensional.Clearing the air with Ovi is a lost cause. Just meeting once n so called explaining to a obsessed girl is not going to work. Knowing Ovi so well ,I think Arjun also knows that.DK needs to think about clearing the air there instead of sitting back n let things happen. He has not taken any effort to meet Ovi and talk to her to explain her that its his fault n Arjun had told him before engagement. In all this mess Arjun is a pawn of circumstance and his position needs to be cleared to Ovi, MAnav n Archu. Instead of that ,DK is keeping quiet ,sitting n watching his son being a mechanic n full-filling some illogical challenge
Hence I say DK gives importance to wrong things @ wrong times..

Ok everyone. I just watched the part in question with my own two eyes. So here goes:

**grins** By now it is public knowledge that I hold Miss Shyamala in the highest regard and respect. We r both ardent PAP members...share the same loyalties...and she has been as much of a mother hen as I have to my, or should I say our "ladla"...striving to protect him when everyone else would have tarred, feathered, and hung him from the nearest tree by now the minute we both turned out backs.

The words "Shayamala you are right...or Shyamala I agree 100%"...have been in practically all my responses to her posts. I have to confess...I do wonder if the day will come when I will finally be able to say...".Shyamala my dear dear friend..l disagree!". However, alas, yet again, it looks like that day is not today. 😉

Yes Shyamala is correct. There is no doubt that Purvi is, in fact, defying her mother with this. I rewound and watched a couple of times to make absolutely sure I was also not mistaking anything. This is, without a doubt, quiet, but very sure defiance. I will even go one step further. The look Purvi gives Archana is cold..and even accusatory. In this episode she does not have to meet Arjun or utter a single word. Her looks say it all. Her look to him is one of extreme pain and suffering to see him suffer. She takes a step towards him with love and tears in her eyes...and then she VERY tellingly glances at Archana and back at him. Her way of communicating to him..."see she is here...looking at us...that is why I cannot come to you". And he definitely gets it...that is obvious too.

So here is the real kicker...far from being angry at Purvi I am so elated I find myself saying well done!! And here is why:

Purvi's anger towards Archana for doing this to her Arjun, although subtle, is so blatantly obvious that Archana is left feeling totally uncomfortable and guilty. You guys...not just the looks...the dialogue here says it all!!! As they are getting ready to leave...Archana makes the stupid mistake of actually trying to comfort Purvi...telling her "there is nothing we can do now...but he wlll be released tomorrow morning." Purvi's reponse is a look so accusatory it speaks volumes...and one sentence..."shall we go?". It is without a doubt her way of saying..."you are the hypocrite. Here u are trying to comfort me...and presuming to understand my pain in having to see my love like this...when u r the one who indirectly got him into this mess in the first place!" and the precedent is already set by the dialogue with the inspector and DK.

The inspector tells DK about Archana and who she says Arjun is...and clearly says he doesn't understand how he can be DKs sone and came to be a car mechanic at the same time. Again notice Purvi's face at this. This whole thing was Purvi's way of telling her Aai...you can forbid me to meet him...but neither can u force me to stop loving him...and this is the most important part...u can't force me to make u my confidant and friend again either. Indeed, it is obvious that Purvi has slowly crossed over. She no longer thinks Archana can do no wrong or take any wrong decision. She will NOT meet Arjun as per Archana's whim...and makes that clear by her very manner. She is polite and respectful to Archana...but that is it. She is not going to confide her feelings, pain, or what is in her heart to Archana...and in fact...I thought...made crystal clear today that Archana lost that sense of closeness with her...perhaps forever. Now she will be respected as a parent...but kept at army's length...Purvi's unwillingness to show Archana her pain and grief is telling in and of itself. No doubt about it.

So again..."Shyamala...as usual...u r right...100%!!!" 👏

Shyamala as always my dear appreciate your thorough analysis and view. Wow what a turn of events from our hero and heroine day dreaming of each other to this baffling track.

It would be a welcome change to see a more independent Purvi. One that is able to see herself separate from her mother. But again does a female character like that exist in Indian soaps. It's all about the many tangled relationships and this constant juggle to manage all of it. Can you imagine a female lead boldly in front of all proclaiming her love. But I am hopeful that this slow evolution of Purvi is creating a heroine that if not loudly but silently shows her love. This makes me optimistic about ARVI's relationship. That it would be a relationship evolving and becoming stronger for it's own sake. I wonder If the present track is not more for Archana's sake than Purvi and Arjun? She needs to eat her words and realize her prejudice against Arjun.

I've read both your post and Bee's and trying to go with your optimism. However, I have been struggling for awhile now with why Purvi is not as strong as we would all like or hope. And to be honest I can't think of any really strong women characters on Indian television. Where are the Elizabeth's or Emma's
Or Scarlett's? I loved one of your earlier posts that mentioned even Shakespeare's frustration at Purvi. My dear too too funny!

Yes, Archana..today, her eyes say it all. Purvi said so much without saying anything. I said the same thing today. They didnt need words. He got it!! And Yes, the Queen Mother was definitely uncomfortable at the end with Purvi'a refusal.. Way to go, Purvi..
All she has todo is keep up the attitude !!! crossing my fingers !!

Thank you all for making my day with this!

Shyamala Aunty, as usual you are spot on and I welcome you to the Appreciating Purvi Program (A.P.P)
While I know that you are just a visitor passing through I appreciate your logical mind and analysis of Jahnvi's ladli while she is away.

Yes, we are in the chrysalis stage and very soon we shall see her emerging brilliant and beautiful. She loves him and I know without a doubt she will try her best to help him - indirectly, of course.

Purvi and Arjun communicated some of what they needed to with their eyes and Purvi understood the rest. It's up to her now.

I have a feeling Puri is not only going back to the hospital to check on aaji but also to camp outside 'Rahim's' room until he gains consciousness. She may even try to persuade the nurses to 'help' him along. She may also work on finding a pro-bono lawyer maybe to help.

She may seek the guidance of D.K. who will also help indirectly? It is his only child after all.

It is now Purvi's mission to fight for Arjun and fight she will!
