Hats off to you for a novel and yet most convincing interpretation. It is really very clever, and what lends it credence is the fact that Purvi has done this sort of thing before, as you have pointed out, with Judge Sukriti.

In any case, I was sure DK had something else up his sleeve, but I did not think of this very neat twist. It is far better than my idea of a detective, who could not have told him about the details of Archana's challenge as Purvi could have.

As for Purvi offering solace to Arjun at the police station, she would not have done it even she had not approached DK. It would have been impossibly awkward for her to say anything loving to him, and what would have been the use of her crying, except to whet the curiosity of the police personnel?

I think Poorvi is in collusion with DK . Soon after Arjun announced where he had moved to in the chawl, DK must have called Poorvi as a source of information. She must have told DK about the mess Arjun is in now. Between the two of them, they ave come up with a scheme to handle the situation. This is why, I think, Poorvi is so quiet and cool at the police station...nary a word of sympathy or solace to our sweet guy, let alone affection. DK's behavior also seems premeditated. Remember also that Poorvi is a clever mover; she has gone to Judge Sukriti twice in the past regarding 'The Divorce' with no mention to anybody.

Shyamala,
One other fact that i noticed last night (watched it again on TV :) ), was Arjun saying that he picked up the car from the middle of the road when some guy seemed to be panicking and left the car and ran away. Arjun brought it to the garage and no one had left it there. This fact alone might get him in trouble as there is no proof of the other guy if that Rahim goes into coma or dies. Why did he have to do that? Some one needs to really teach this boy the ways of the world !!! Why did he go out of the way? Look where he is now...
I am confused as to who said what in these posts on diff. threads now :).. I think it was bee who said that the CV's are trying to show the Mahaan Archana being Arjun's saviour and she will get him out of this mess. I wasnt happy about it first, but when you really think about it, I am all for it. You know why..During this process, I want her to realize what her single act of thoughtlessness has done to Arjun. Her foolishness of his wajood..has brought Arjun Kirloskar to this state, from a smart dynamic business man to a scared, bumbling boy in jail of all the places. It is her responsibility now to bring him out of this mess. We should see a verbal acceptance of her guilt and her remorse. That alone will soothe our burning hearts, wouldn't it 😊. The icing on the cake would be if she admits it to Purvi, which is too much to expect, I guess.
Quite a few on the forum have said that after Arjun comes out of this mess, they would like to see some romance from ARVI etc.. which is good with me. I am all for it. I am sure Archana will tell him that he doesnt have to go thru the challenge. BUT, I still want Arjun to keep his word, get that silly amount of 10K and give it to Her Highness, and show her what he can do despite all odds.. THAT should prove to her beyond doubt what he can do to get Purvi...Didnt she say that he will not survive in the real world by himself..This act alone should prove it to her.
Dont you guys want that??
VINDICTIVE, aren't I ??😛

A very smart thought... I would love it if DK and Purvi are in collision like you said. But, are the CV's really that smart? They will probably just show us Archana getting Arjun a laywer as Sulochana is supposed to tell her to do all she can to help Arjun according to the precap. I think DK and Purvi are in wait and watch mode. They will step in if it gets to a no-return stage.
Let us see how it unfolds.

Trish, thanks a lot, but thanks even more for getting back to us. I missed you a lot and was looking out for you daily, but in vain till today. Welcome back!!

You would have been delighted to see that we seem to be having better times in PR than in the recent past. I hope this lasts

Dear pavrish,

Thanks a lot for being so patient with me, and even more so for being so appreciative. I cannot possibly compete with Tanyaz or Trish in quickness and crispness - my strengths are detailed analysis and descriptions - but I am l glad you enjoy my posts all the same!

great analysis and great post... its always a treat to read ur posts... although long but i still take time to read each n every bit of it because every word speaks volumes... though i've read all ur posts this is the first time i am replying to it...
loved ur analysis on Purvi... i totally agree with u... by being silent all through the episode, shows she is silently protesting against Archana and trying to make her realize her big mistake of challenging Arjun to prove his love for Purvi...

keep posting such wonderful posts... i love the way u express yourself...

Dear nomad,

It is soon going to come to a point when, if I do not see such a very kind note from you after each and every one of my stand alone posts, I shall go into a depression!😉

Seriously, you are incredibly kind to me.

Shyamala - i always look forward to your analyses which are more informative and entertaing than watching the show. I second the request made on this thread that you post your thoughts on each episode unless the creativity of the writers leaves you with nothing to speculate or you are dumbfounded after watching the show and you lose your mind to any creative thought or even you are too numb to type...

I love the characterization developed by Rachel. Please keep it coming...

Havent watched the show yet but feel like i have seen it a couple hunderd times just reading this forum...

Dear Jai,

Thanks for being so very kind about this post; coming from you, the compliment is all the more valuable.

I agree with most of what you have written, and would only add that the acute lack of logic extends from the storyline to the details. As I wrote to Kalapi today in the context of my next post Purvi and DK: Honours even (you might like to look that up, it will amuse you if nothing else), it is ALL cockeyed. She was upset about the stupidity and lack of credibility of the bail system as it was shown yesterday, and felt that it would affect perceptions abroad about the Indian judicial system. I do not think this is a major concern, and even if it was, it is no use bothering about such stuff in a mediocre TV serial.

For authenticity in TV serials, one has to go to Yashraj's superb Powder. And what were the TRPs of Powder and the only slightly less well done Kismat? So bad that Yashraj seem to have shut down their TV division. If the audience likes stupid stuff, how can we complain that we don' t get good stuff?

I personally am convinced that sensible TV serial viewers the world over would not take this pap as a source of information on anything at all, except perhaps on the latest sartorial innovations, whether it is gorgeous evening gowns or Archana's backless blouses! Thank God she at least has a very nice back, otherwise it would be insupportable!

As for DK, you are of course fully entitled to your point of view (which is always the preamble before one begins to differ sharply with it!😉), but I am sure that he would have been keeping track of the situation, just as he was obviously keeping track of Arjun. and if it had seemed to be getting out of hand, he would have stepped in.Not that things would have been a cakewalk even with thim, in any realistic story.

Hi Shymala,

Thank you for your wonderful analysis again. I tend to disagree here a bit...(As always agree to disagree 😊)..

This whole track of Arjun trying to prove his love being mechanic to earn 10,000 as a challenge provided by Archu has become a fiasco. Archu is made to look like a villian between Arjun n Purvi.
I wonder what is the purpose of this entire track. This on demand script non sense end result is such loose illogical storylines.
Manav has been made to look very weak re as you mentioned.
In fact dear as I see Arman are being made to look unreasonable parents to Arvi whereas they have every right to be angry on them but the way its shown being handled is a big mess. The challenge scenario is totally out of context and all this Manav is completely left out and is shown totally unaware of the situation. IT should be Archu n Manav together taking right actions and not this challenge scenario . I am appalled on how DK has agreed to such non-sense. What father would allow his son to get tortured in jail just for the sake of a senseless sacrifice.Does his son's challenge is more important than his well being...? Amazing ...DK really is calm under all circumstances coz the man can do nothing n keeps waiting forever...
What he expects Archu to do here..Is she all powerful to bail his son out based on the current situation...Great going DK...
Instead of the whole challenge fiasco there should be track where Arjun is proving that he is a victim of circumstance and situations thanks to his dad and take efforts to make Ovi understand and convince Manav n Archu that he is not wrong, instead this is going on a completely different track where he is shown as a one dimensional lover. Its good Arjun wants to prove himself and his love for Purvi but I think its also important that he also clears the air with Ovi by facing her ,have a good 1 -1 talk ,trying to make her understand. Its going to be tough to make Ovi understand but at least the effort needs to be there.Neither DK nor Arjun have been shown thinking about that instead Arjun is shown to be following Manav's path of being a mechanic and taking all mis fortunes like Manav.
I think CV's are confused. Manav is Manav and there is no one like him. Trying to make Arjun like Manav is destroying Arjun's character. Its depressing to see a MBA being a mechanic. IT would have been better had they shown Arjun working somewhere in a MNC. These kind of illogical nonsense is not helping TRP's.Unless CV's wake up here trp's dropping further is a reality.
Its high time they end this nonsense track ,unite Arvi and move on with next track if they have to survive. TRP's are taking a major hit for PR and Zee has put lot of pressure on Balaji for this to do something. At this rate nothing is going to help unless CV's open their eyes or old CV's come back to rescue the sinking ship
