A new day and a new situation, but today, I am not angry at Purvi. Actually, on the contrary, I am happy at what Purvi did. Maybe some of you will change your opinion after you watch the episode.
Jotting down quickly what all happened in the episode with Purvi and nothing else on Archana or Arjun or DK. This is just from her side:

- She is so much in tears ever since she comes to know of Arjun's arrest but she is completely suffering in silence.

- When police ask Archana if she can come and give statement, it is Purvi who wants to go with Archana. Archana stops her. But bcos of Sulo, Purvi could go to the station.

- In the police station, Purvi is looking at Arjun with tearful eye all of the time but she feels chained bcos of Archana's diktat that she can't even go meet him.

- Even earlier, Purvi who decides to call Arjun to thank him backs off at the last moment just bcos she doesn't want to go against Archana. Purvi does not want to do anything on the sly.

- Purvi is glad that Archana testifies in favor of Arjun in the Police Station but they refuse to let him go since the kidnap victim is still unconscious and they want his statement as well. The reason is also bcos Arjun himself being a rich businessman and a son of one is currently a mechanic, which the police do not understand the logic of.

- Though Purvi is glad Archana could tell the truth about Arjun and doesn't want to defy Archana, I don't think she doesn't understand that Arjun's current state is because of Archana. I feel somewhere she is angry or somewhere she is unhappy with Archana being the reason for this and hence she refuses to go meet Arjun in person though she herself is suffering silently and can do nothing, not even talk to him. She does know that Arjun will know that she will always be with him even if she doesn't say a word. Her tearful eyes really speaks volumes of sympathy, kindness and helplessness.

- I am glad finally Purvi just walks away without meeting Arjun when she realizes no matter what Arjun cannot be let out until Police gets that guy's statement and refuses to meet when finally Archana asks her to go meet Arjun. Why should she? When Archana asks her not to meet, she shouldn't and when she says 'go meet', she should? As I had written in the past, Purvi does want Archana's approval for their relationship but she doesn't want to get that either by force or by pity.

So, I stand in support of Purvi today.😊

I also see it as a mute protest against her mother. Just because Archana in a weak moment asked Purvi to talk to Arjun if she wanted, what about tomorrow when he is out of jail .. She is doing her part in Arju's fight by not talking to Arjun as per Arhcna's wishes, Arjun is also not using his or his father's name to get out of the situation.

Anyway what is she supposed to say to him.. thank you ? Sorry ?

Probably true, but I wish Arjun and Purvi would just stop trying to prove the purity of their love to Archana. Like Arjun said before, why does Purvi worry so much about the approbation and feelings of others? They are both in the selfish union of love and they should only be concerned with each other. If Purvi wanted to be a rebel, she should've met Arjun despite Archana's challenge. In a perfect world, she whould get married and go live with Arjun. But alas, it's a twisted story of our Ekta. 😆

I totally agree with you on this .. it is definately a mute protest.
While trying to prove himself to Archana the great, he exposed the entire Kirloskar clan and business empire to a lot of risk. It was so easy for bad sharks out there to kidnap Arjun or frame him in a illegal situation. I really disapprove with Archana and her challenge here.
Arjun could have started his own business etc..Archana, by me is completely responsible for driving Arjun into this...She was angry with him but the approach she took to set him straight and de tangle the mess with her two girls was not right...

- She is so much in tears ever since she comes to know of Arjun's arrest but she is completely suffering in silence.
Ok, I did succumb to the tempation and watched the episode online. Let me be the first one to say, I am rethinking of Purvi's reactions today after watching it. Shyamala is right, i should watch it myself first and then react later. Having said that, my other thread that I started "Step up, Purvi" was written before the episode even aired. It was just a prelude, worried about what would happen in case Arjun is stuck really bad in prison. So, I am not guilty of that :)...
I watched the last part twice to make sure I see all the reactions clearly.
They had not shown too much of Arjun's harrasment as I feared, but even what they showed was...😭.. poor Arjun...I cant see him so at a loss of confidence..
Purvi showed her suffering really well today without any words..When they walked into the police station, she instinctively went to Arjun but backed off realizing the presence of her mother and her dikhat. Her tearful eyes when she looked at Arjun said it all ... It showed her anguish at his state very cleary. You are right. Arjun doesnt need her words to express what she is feeling. He gets that...
There was a tiny smile on her face when Archana was defending Arjun, showing that she is happy that Archana is realizing the goodness in him. A sense of satisfcation was also there in that smile.
She doesnt question her Aai but does show her displeasure in that slight gesture of unsaid refusal. It was like "I dont need to meet him just because you give me permission"...She said it all without saying anything...
Archana did look a litte taken aback..maybe she thought that Purvi would be grateful or happy with her gesture.
DK was DK himself... very gracious and very sucessful in making Archana feel guilty over Arjun's state of affairs without any drama.
I think that Purvi will win her Aai's approval of Arjun with obedience and strong silence. Because she knows that Arjun will come out of this. ,Atleast, that is what I hope her goal is...
I still hold reservations at Purvi, but not unhappy with Purvi today either...😊..
Let us see what happens tomorrow...

Im in defense of Purvi..also liking the calm matured Purvi who doesnt speak much but through her eyes.. i dnt think Arjun needs 20 lines of dialogues from Purvi to support him one glance is enough//ya he sure needs words of support..bt she be in a poaition ../Arhana had said no wen she wanted 2 go to Police Station but Sulo forcd her ...I absouletly loved that she said no meeting him 2day.. thts sumwhr gonna help Archana to respect their relatioship rather than any " 4 din ak pyaar" .. even if she wld have met him all she wld have done is cry.. however strong u mght be.. one glance seeing ur loved one in jail is gonna melt u.. esp a guy like Arjun.. first she has to collect herself..
also not being able to answer back Archana.. i mean in any relationship if the other person is in a angry spiteful mode the best alternative is to stay calm bcoz answering back will only make matters worse ..bcoz other person is absoultly no mood to listen..but small instances will make Archana realise.. also in ME ..wen Arjun was leaving after manav snatched the form..Purvi was looking at him only and Archana was watchig tht n she felt bad..
I also liked DK today for undstanding his son.. he sure must have felt bad bt trusted he wld come out stronger..and garage owner is usre in helpfull mode..
Tomorrow me mght see Purvi breaing down in front of the madir..i thnk thts how balaji shows work..

Dear pc 76,

You are absolutely right about the risk to Arjun in this idiotic venture.I had really not thought of it at all, and it is an excellent point.

You might also like to see my separate post on today's PR. You will see that we are of one mind in our interpretation of Purvi's refusal to meet Arjun.

It is a pity I saw your post only now, after I had sent that out, or I would have specifically cited you and mentioned your very important point about the physical risk to Arjun. Archana, and even Purvi, being chawl dwellers at heart, would not even be able to visualise this danger.

Dear bee5,

A very sound and comprehensive analysis. I particularly liked @ red. It is exactly what I felt myself, though I would go somewhat further down this road.

Do take a look at my stand alone post: PR Today: A contrary view of Purvi. You would find it interesting.

Agree, IFVJ, a mute protest, but at the same time not rebellious in nature.
She didn't even wanted Archana to see her helplessness and hence walks away.
It was as if - today you see my may be feeling sympathetic and allowing me to meet him, but what about tomorrow when he is out of jail?

Also agree on what she was supposed to say, Police Station is not anyway a place to show PDAs however simple they would have been.
