Probably true, but I wish Arjun and Purvi would just stop trying to prove the purity of their love to Archana. Like Arjun said before, why does Purvi worry so much about the approbation and feelings of others? They are both in the selfish union of love and they should only be concerned with each other. If Purvi wanted to be a rebel, she should've met Arjun despite Archana's challenge. In a perfect world, she whould get married and go live with Arjun. But alas, it's a twisted story of our Ekta. 😆

Naloynne,
@bold:
I think the whole reason is because they want everyone to bless their relationship. Purvi will never be happy without her folk's blessings and Arjun wouldn't be happy without Purvi's happiness. Arjun doesn't want to do this for just Purvi's sake, but he too somewhere feels the same. They did not get into this relationship in a planned way, it happened and they acknowledged and understood that, that for both of them that is the way to go ahead. Also they know either wouldn't be happy without the other. But that doesn't mean they should ignore the rest of their family. So, of course Arjun has to do what Archana has asked of him.😆 But the reason why Archana asked this of him is really stupid when she knows OVT Group in India was running just by Arjun and not bcos of DK. If Arjun was not the person he was, then DK and all his wealth would have soon become extinct. This is something Archana did not understand!

Arjun could have started his own business etc..Archana, by me is completely responsible for driving Arjun into this...She was angry with him but the approach she took to set him straight and de tangle the mess with her two girls was not right...

pch76,
Agree a mute protest, but at the same time not a rebellious one. She did not wanted Archana to think that she was protesting or disagreeing or something.

Hmm .. now you brought a whole new angle to this story about Arjun in a vulnerable situation with a possible kidnap on himself. But we also know in what circumstances he choose to accept the mechanic job.

Anyway, it was Archana who blurted out about the Kirloskar name and DK at the Police Station, not that Arjun wouldn't have if asked, but when it came from Archana herself, it was more credible.
About Arjun starting a business of his own, it needs a lot of money to begin with and as per Archana's challenge it was a given that Arjun was not supposed to use any of his money from his previous life as AK. But yeah, this challenge by Archana was so not required.

Yup, but in PR look where running after people's blessings gets you. Archana is a living example of that. 😆 She has always wanted acceptance and love from Savita and this very goose hunt has led her to a bitter divorce. Along the way, she has lost self-esteem from honoring and respecting he sasuma so much.Purvi and Arjun will be restless without Archana's approval, though. Like you said, Archu holds so much importance to Purvi, and as a result, to Arjun. Just wish they weren't so crazy for her blessings. 😆

Ok, I did succumb to the tempation and watched the episode online. Let me be the first one to say, I am rethinking of Purvi's reactions today after watching it. Shyamala is right, i should watch it myself first and then react later. Having said that, my other thread that I started "Step up, Purvi" was written before the episode even aired. It was just a prelude, worried about what would happen in case Arjun is stuck really bad in prison. So, I am not guilty of that :)...
I watched the last part twice to make sure I see all the reactions clearly.
They had not shown too much of Arjun's harrasment as I feared, but even what they showed was...😭.. poor Arjun...I cant see him so at a loss of confidence..
Purvi showed her suffering really well today without any words..When they walked into the police station, she instinctively went to Arjun but backed off realizing the presence of her mother and her dikhat. Her tearful eyes when she looked at Arjun said it all ... It showed her anguish at his state very cleary. You are right. Arjun doesnt need her words to express what she is feeling. He gets that...
There was a tiny smile on her face when Archana was defending Arjun, showing that she is happy that Archana is realizing the goodness in him. A sense of satisfcation was also there in that smile.
She doesnt question her Aai but does show her displeasure in that slight gesture of unsaid refusal. It was like "I dont need to meet him just because you give me permission"...She said it all without saying anything...
Archana did look a litte taken aback..maybe she thought that Purvi would be grateful or happy with her gesture.
DK was DK himself... very gracious and very sucessful in making Archana feel guilty over Arjun's state of affairs without any drama.
I think that Purvi will win her Aai's approval of Arjun with obedience and strong silence. Because she knows that Arjun will come out of this. ,Atleast, that is what I hope her goal is...
I still hold reservations at Purvi, but not unhappy with Purvi today either...😊..
Let us see what happens tomorrow...

JD,
What a beautiful write-up on that scene 👏 Loved it 👏
I'm glad you watched the episode and did a rethink. Purvi does not deserve any flak today.

@bold: while she did go against her mother's command, it was not rebellious in nature at all. She did not wanted to make her mother feel guilty, unhappy or miserable by disapproving her order. It was as if to say, "it is okay, I understand. My meeting him is not that important right now."

also not being able to answer back Archana.. i mean in any relationship if the other person is in a angry spiteful mode the best alternative is to stay calm bcoz answering back will only make matters worse ..bcoz other person is absoultly no mood to listen..but small instances will make Archana realise.. also in ME ..wen Arjun was leaving after manav snatched the form..Purvi was looking at him only and Archana was watchig tht n she felt bad..
I also liked DK today for undstanding his son.. he sure must have felt bad bt trusted he wld come out stronger..and garage owner is usre in helpfull mode..
Tomorrow me mght see Purvi breaing down in front of the madir..i thnk thts how balaji shows work..

arbi,
Loved that in @bold.

Yup, if Purvi went to meet Arjun and cried, it would have broken him further.

I am not sure if Archana understood even a bit if Arjun's today's state was because of her, yes, she did cry a lot in front of DK, but I am not sure if she takes the blame on herself.

LOL on the upcoming mandir scene.I also thought of that. 😆 Purvi already had one early in the episode today. Next she will silently pray one more time to Bappa to rescue Arjun from this situation or when Arjun comes out of the situation😆

A very sound and comprehensive analysis. I particularly liked @ red. It is exactly what I felt myself, though I would go somewhat further down this road.

Do take a look at my stand alone post: PR Today: A contrary view of Purvi. You would find it interesting.

Shyamala

Dear Shyamala,
How nicely you used the word "puppet" 😆.
Did read your post and posted my views there.

VG,
You are right, the dots are not connected that way, but it did turn out to be that way at the end

I had just written a post earlier - " if Purvi went to meet Arjun and cried, it would have broken him further."

Bee nice analysis of Purvi's behavior. I do hope you are right. I am skeptical to believe it's true. And given all the illogical drama we have in this show, I really want and do hope it's so that Purvi is in silent protest against her mother. And at the same time becoming stronger of her support of Arjun. Like Shyamala I love the part of not wanting Archana's support out of pity or force.

I hope the point of this prison nonsense is that the family will all come to understand and respect the deep love between them. I further hope it's because of Purvi's strong fight for Arjun's innocence that will further demonstrate the depth of their love. I want to see a strong, goal oriented Purvi. Not a whinny, crying weak person.

I think if everyone agrees to the marriage, including Archana and Manav, but say Ovi is angry, I think even then Purvi will not agree to her marriage with Arjun. In some ways, she is very much like Archana. That is where the CV's are disappointing. You can do old wine in new bottle for only so long. After a point, it becomes stale.

NJersey,
Agree, one cannot satisfy all, but for Purvi, Archana is THE most important person in the world.

LOL 😆I quite agree with your take on Ovi's approval as well 😆. And the reason is if Ovi is not happy, Archana is not happy. If Archana is not happy then Purvi is not happy. 😆 Unfortunately and very surely, that is going to be the next track, but in a different way ofcourse, bcos Ovi would be turned negative by then. Even if Arjun and Purvi decide to not care about Ovi's happiness, Ovi would not let them be.😆
