Debu, you are right, he is giving Ovi the wrong impression, she already believes he has changed and is in love with her, this will only give her false hopes.

no surprise. arjun behaviour so predictable. what can we expect from a coward like him. after watching the new promo, i can tell ovi found out about ArVi from someone else (maybe punni) and not hear it from arjun's mouth.
👎🏼 arjun.

Arch, Trish, Laurie, obssessed is not the word 😆

Re-watched the epi and had second thoughts about some scenes and wanted to see your take on it.
Why did Arjun agree to go to lunch with Ovi? He should be avoiding her like the plague now, shouldn't he? Yeah, he is forced to stretch out the engagement but he doesn't need to act the attentive fiance right? Also, when she apologizes for coming late he talks in the same tone that he uses for Purvi. Shouldn't he be a little tense, a little uneasy for being forced to act this part however much of a friend she is?
When Purvi came in and addressed him as Sir, didn't faze him and he talked to her like he was her boss not like someone in love with her. He could have sounded a little warmer and nicer. When Purvi asked Teju to order, he was exchanging warm smiles with Ovi, not in the least bit uneasy, what was that all about?
I am fast reverting to my old aversion for Arjun's cavalier behavior as regards to Purvi's emotions. yes, inspite of his text to her. Glad she had the gumption to walk off.

In bold --- yes, Arjun speaks in the very same tone to Ovi as he uses for Purvi .. he said, "its ok, its ok!" I agree with you 100% on this Jahnvi.👍🏼 I noticed it too, but chose to ignore it😆😆 Glad you brought it up.
I agree with Arch though -- that he probably was meeting Ovi because he wanted to discuss her legal problems with her.
But then, I also agree with Jahnvi that he could have sounded warmer and nicer with Purvi. He has to sound 100 times more sweeter to Purvi than he does to Ovi. That difference I as a viewer want to know, see and feel. But I didn't as much as I'd like to.
I may be wrong, but I blame the director of PR and RD the actor for these goof-ups. There's a difference between love and friendship, and most obsessed fans like us, 😆 will catch this faster than others. The actor and the director have to note this difference in tone, in behaviour, in body language, one which is around the sweetheart, and one which is around just a good friend.
However, I have no problems with Arjun😆😆, I have problems with the director handling these scenes and then the actor enacting them.

Jahnvi, I also blame the director, the script writer first, second the actor. He needs to use a different tone with Ovi. Sabke liye ek hi tone? 😉
But, yes, I agree a 100% with your post.
At the lunch table, they could have shown Arjun leaning more towards Purvi unintentionally, or giving her those "I missed you" looks or automatically staring at her even though he does not want to make it obvious to Ovi. But I didn't see any of that😕. The only look which was a saviour for him, was the one he gave her when she left the table. He genuinely looked dissappointed.
What are the writers and directors doing? They had done a better job with Manav-Archana-Shravani track. Manav used to look like a love sick puppy all the time when he was with Shravani. He was always found missing Archana. Therefore, no one found it in their hearts to point a finger at Manv then😆. The director of PR has changed it seems since then. 😆😆

Dear Janhvi,

I do not want to sound a dissenting note in this meeting of minds, but do you know, I am beginning to feel that many in the forum would rather have Arjun-Purvi go their separate ways just so that they can feel they were correct in lambasting Arjun as a two-timing good for nothing. It is a question of seeing what you want to see, I guess, and of course everyone is entitled to her/his point of view.

What is forgotten in all this is that it is Arjun and Purvi who are the accredited second leads, and no amount of negativism, for whatever reason, is going to change that. Perhaps sometimes it is better not to have second thoughts, unless, as I noted above, they make one feel better about oneself!

As for the contract, I have attempted something on it in the thread Hey Purvi! that you might like to see. I always prefer to base my analyses on facts, and the facts in this case are quite simple, as you will see from that post. I hope it is of some interest and help.

Also don't understand why Ovi is being sued for breach of contract, she informed whoever it was that she was taking time off for her engagement, which is what she has done so far. Why would they be suing her for not informing them of her marriage? She is not married yet for one thing and secondly doesn't an engagement automatically entail a wedding?

Well, it will never be the right time for Arjun to tell her. They do make a cute couple and should stick with their wedding date. 😈

Dear Shyamala,

In bold -- are you pointing to my post or some other post? the one above? Please do clarify.

Speaking for myself, I want Arjun-Purvi to reunite, not go their separate ways. Even if you find me finding tiny faults with Arjun's behaviour, it is only because I sooo want to see Arjun-Purvi together. I want the both of them to proclaim to the world their love for each other. They may hurt many hearts in the process, but atleast they don't end up living lives married to other people based on compromises. My demand for a new hero for Purvi, as you may have noticed, has stopped😆😆. It is Arjun all the way for Purvi.😊 I want to see him shower all his attention on Purvi, which under the given circumstances is not possible for him and I understand that.

But there are certain directorial and script-wise glitches, that could be recitified - And on top of it, Arjun's larger-than-life-character has led us to expect a lot more from him. We want to see the same Arjun who stood all night outside Purvi's chawl, gave her the POA and one who had feared no one when he had confessed. Now with all these other people (especially from Canada) around him, this Romeo-like behaviour from him has lessened (demand of the script). But our expectations from him have not lessened. 😆😆

Anyhow, like I said in another post of mine, it is not Arjun's fault now. The script demands for him to be slightly guarded right now. So, I am okay with it. I know he will spring back to his Romeo avatar one of these days and soon. Hope so.

Dear Trish,

No, it is not about your post. I know where your heart is, and I respect your feelings.

In fact, as I made it a point to stress in my post above, I respect everyone's right to hold any opinion at all. But I do feel that relentless negativism, and an accompanying refusal to see anything positive, however small, can become self-reinforcing.

To my mind, the single most important thing, and very welcome change, in yesterday's episode was Purvi thinking to herself that this was why Arjun could not talk to Ovi about them at the party the night before. This is a matter of fact, not of interpretation. To disregard this is to lose the whole meaning of the episode.

But the above is not about you.
