Tanya, I don't think Manav is capable of picking a fight with DK over this, Manav is too spineless for that, but who knows, maybe his darling daughter being slighted will give him the needed gumption? 😆That said, yes, it is going to cause a lot of misunderstanding but Manav might understand that Arjun fell in love almost against his own will and hopefully Manav will realize (asking too much in his current myopic state) that Ovi marrying someone who is pining for someone else is not conducive to Ovi's long term happiness.
In hindsight, Arjun did more harm than good in going through that engagement that day. Had he called a stop to it then, there would have been a scene, tongues would have wagged but all would have returned to normal by now. He is playing a dangerous game, albeit unknowingly, as he is going to hurt all concerned.
You are right, Arjun has known this family for a long time and knows their emotional plight, he knows Tej's protectiveness towards Ovi, he knows about Ovi's obsessive love for him, their hatred for their mother, the divorce situation bet/ Manav and Archana, that Archana is not to blame and that he in love with Archana's other daughter which is only going to ignite the whole family situation.
Arjun may be 20, but he is definitely not a babe in the woods, he is supposed to be a savvy businessman and hopefully has some sense hidden away behind that helpless "my hands are tied now" attitude. Some in the forum have mentioned he needs Purvi's help. He does not, she is as old as him or younger and she has already hinted that he should tell all, which is the best advice anyone could have given him. The longer he waits, the messier it will get. He doesn't need Purvi to give him moral courage to disclose to Ovi, he should do it of his own volition knowing what he does of the situation, in fairness not only to Purvi but to Ovi and the family.
As for DK, the man surprises me, running away from the problem or procrastinating does not help, thank god, he has decided to come back. His son needs a shaking and so does the father for having let this matter proceed this far.
Aside: If the girls have had a strange upbringing, I think Arjun has too. His mother sick, dad busy, I do not think his childhood has been any more normal than Teju's and Ovi's. Maybe that has a lot to do with his insecurities and lack of courage in emotional matters.
