Soapwatcher, Finally you are here! I was awaiting your comments and I'm glad you did not disappoint me.
You wrote all that I had in my head but would not want to write for various reasons.
I am also amazed that you caught some of the things from my post which I had just thrown as hints.
Tanyaz brought up a very good point that "Purvi should be warning Archana against getting Ovi married to Arjun if he were a cheater".
She simply isn't because she knows in the heart of hearts that he is the best one can get.
All those looking at him with tears in her eyes while 'Rabba tu itna bata de' goes on in the background is because she knows what she lost and can *never* have.
So all those screaming and not letting him talk is so that she can drive him away and also so that she doesn't become weak and fall for him all over again.
As of today, that is how it looks, but I am not sure if they would want to change it tomorrow bcos THIS is a daily soap and script is written everyDAY.
Coming to Arjun's ring. The ring in Arjun's hand bothers me too, I wish I can yank it out and throw it in the nearest bin[but that is just me]. But think about the consequences if he removes it.
- At office people are going to talk - why what is wrong with our boss who just got engaged recently.
- What is he going to answer to the family - Manav, Archana or anyone who sees that. Yeah he can lie between his teeth.
- God forbid if Ovi gets to see him without the ring. All hell would break loose.
There is also 1 more reason why CVs have to have that ring in Arjun's hand - simply because they can get their character Purvi to mouth-out words like 'You are a cheater' at him. So, this is the bending of characters they indulge in. They have to place their coins right on the board so that they can continue their game. If Arjun stops sporting the ring, then on what basis Purvi is going to argue her case against? So, the ring is the point of contention that is being used to further the hurls Purvi throws against Arjun and Arjun mumbling, weakened, unable-to-form-one-sentence in front of Ovi or Purvi is the card used for the mis-communication to continue.
With that, I have justified both Purvi and Arjun and I am done and I stop.
So, it is all CVs way of dealing with the ArVi track for a few more months unless viewers are going to make a big hue-n-cry and make them change their plans. Remember the spamdomain video? When the jurno asked, "So, next will it be your Pavitra Rishtha happening?", to which Rithvik replied, "Oh No! it is going to take 2-3 more months". So, they have already planned it. ArVi track will most probably culminate at around the same time ArMan divorce will come to an end. Until then brace yourself.
Without being pompous I would like to state something that I noticed. The issue is I watch the show standing outside the perimeter of the show and you guys from inside. Because of that I can watch the show from external view and can understand why a character is acting/behaving in certain way and why and what the CVs are trying to achieve. I know that my way of watching is not the recommended way. Only advantage I have is, nothing of such display of injustice/rudeness on screen effects me. I think the way you guys watch and write is the right way simply because that is the only way to influence the CVs and bring about a change. So, more power to you guys.I am here for the long haul and will watch until I get B-O-R-E-D of the show or don't find anything of SUBSTANCE trying to decode CV's collective brains.
