Hello my PR friends, my first OS in PR forum, ahhh with the on-going engagement drama and the speculations going around.. my worked up brain came up with this OS...
OS: Love, Trust, Sacrifice

Purvi is standing, tightly clutching her fingers on the iron railing of the Gazebo in the lawn, on the rear side of the hotel..tears are streaming down her cheeks, she is gasping, her heart is sinking and her knees trembling.. and her vision blurred with tears...with the worst fear of her life, turning into a reality..she is unable to come to terms with what she has seen half an hour before,..how her life changed with one statement from her Manav Baba,...
she is trying to gather herself and face the reality of her life.. she needs to face the reality, for her aai, for her baba and for Ovi.. but she is desolate and in a trance..thinking about the hard hitting events of the day
~~~~~~~~~~~Flashback starts~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The party is on full swing, with guests pouring in..All are very happy and very beautiful, smiling and waiting for the surprise to be unveiled... Arjun and Purvi are standing together, completely besotted in each other and their happiness is radiated in their smiles which twinkles in their eyes.
Arjun and Purvi were in some animated conversation until they were brought to stop by
"Attention Ladies and gentleman ' firstly I would like to thank you all for your presence in this party.." said Manav walking to the center of the hall..All eyes are on Manav, looking at him in anticipation, for the surprise
Manav turns his head towards the stairs where his two daughters, Ovi and Teju walk down, beautifully decked up..Everyone follows Manav's stare towards the stairs and the girls coming down...
"Ovi" Arjun utters with a surprised and confused look, "Ovi" repeats Purvi.. "yeah Manav uncle's daughter. but how and when did she come here" said Arjun, looking at Purvi with a confusion on his face. "Ovi ..Aai's daughter" mutters Purvi with happiness and excitement on her face and in her voice
"Ladies and gentlemen..please welcome my two most beautiful girls.. Ovi and Tejaswini..." round of applause goes around the hall... Ovi and Teju are at the bottom of the stairs..."Teju, Aai's daughter" murmurs Purvi. "did you say something Purvi " Arjun enquired in a soft tone...Purvi nods her head in negative with a simple and beautiful smile.. Arjun is lost in her beautiful smile..
Archana is happy and content to see Ovi and Teju,..and she is ecstatic and overwhelmed that her little baby is going to be engaged to the love of her life...
Manav goes and stands near the girls.. all are in awe of how pretty the girls were and how lavish the party is and are still waiting for the surprise, 'Manav gestures Arjun to come to him.. Arjun tries to take Purvi with him, Purvi refuses and asks him to go ahead..
Manav again calls out to Arjun to come over. Arjun, unwillingly excuses himself, Purvi assures him to go ahead as she will be fine.
Archana is excited since she is aware of the surprise, she is smiling beautifully looking at her husband and her girls.. but there is a part of her heart, which is twitched, by not being able to be with her daughter as their mother.. on the very important day of her life.. her heart twinges with the realization that she cannot even tell their kids that she is their mom.. But keeping aside her pain.. she is happy for her daughter...and for Arjun..
Arjun goes to join Manav, mouths Hi to Ovi and Tej, and gives a smiling nod to his dad, . Manav places his hand over Arjun's shoulders, " Now it's the time for surprise.." said Manav looking at Arjun and Ovi, the anticipation is building up among all the people in the hall,
"I would like to announce the engagement of my daughter Ovi Manav Deshmukh with DK sir's son Arjun Kirloskar .. they both love each other and we, as elders, have decided to get them into a relation for life" said Manav with a huge smile..while the applauds fill the venue ...
As this statement ended, Arjun looked at Purvi with utter shock and disbelief in the turn of events.. Purvi looks at Arjun, her eyes have pooled, her head is spinning with what she just heard.. Arjun was about to take a step towards Purvi.. Manav stops him ..
Meanwhile Purvi wipes off the single tear on her cheek, and she tries to compose herself and put up a brave front..but she is crumbling within,,, her anguish is not letting her to stand unsupported... she moved near a pillar to support herself..her head is ponderous..
Arjun on the hand is just looking at Purvi, with anguish in his eyes.. he wants to go to her and assure her and support her,, Tej gets the engagement rings, DK asks Arjun to slide the ring on Ovi's finger as she is waiting.. Arjun looks at the ring which is in a small box placed in a beautifully decorated tray which Tej is holding..and then he looks at Ovi.. "Dad..Manav uncle ..I need to talk to you right now.."
"We can talk later my boy.. first, you slide the ring on Ovi's finger" said DK, gesturing him to go ahead with the task at hand. Arjun looks at Purvi, not finding her in the spot.. Arjun's heartbeat stops for a moment.. he is dreaded with all thoughts.. looks around, and is worried in not finding her anywhere.. Arjun was about to make a move in search of her.. DK places his hand on Arjun's shoulder and gestures to slide the ring..
"No dad, I need to talk right now .. ", said Arjun..stepping back.."But Arjun, it's not the right time, we have guests over here.. and what is more important to talk.. while this is what you both wanted, you love Ovi and you wanted to get married to her" said Manav trying to persuade him to go ahead with the engagement..
"No Manav uncle.. now is the right time.. if I do not speak up now.. there will never be a right time all my life" , said Arjun raising his arms...
"but Arjun, my boy, when you are in love with Ovi what is stopping you from getting engaged to her..", said DK in a low voice, by placing his hand on Arjun's shoulders..
Arjun steps back further and sternly saysm "Ovi is not my love dad.. I am not in love with Ovi" all guests are shocked..tears pool in Ovi's eyes. she is deeply hurt,, she is crumbling inside to see this side of Arjun..her dreams are crumbled..
Manav, DK, Tej, Archana are equally shocked with Arjun's statement.. Arjun is dire for hurting so many people.. but his eyes are still looking for Purvi ..Archana's eyes are pooled, she wants to go ahead hug her daughter, who is in a dire state.. The whole atmosphere is changed from a happy to a gloomy one in a matter of few moments
Meanwhile..DK who composes himself.. takes the whole family to a separate room located adjoining the party hall.. Archana is rooted to her place.. Manav gestures Archana to follow them .. Archana nods her head in negative..Manav further gestures her and assures her to come.. she follows them..

Purvi who is not a witness to all this.. has been walking all desolate.. her mind and heart are having a battle of their own.. she is walking aimlessly .. Purvi is reminiscing all the moments spent together with Arjun.. their confession,,,and now she remembers the engagement announcement...Ovi, Tej being her aai, baba's kids..she is visualizing Arjun, his confession, his hug in the rain, his kisses, Arjun saying Purvi that she is his life.. Purvi is walking in a desolate state...Arjun's words are reverberating.. she tightly closed her ears with her palms on either side...and is walking in a daze until she reaches a Gazebo, on the rear side of the hotel...

"Arjun, my boy, you said you are in love, your life is changed and you were about to confess...now .what is all this.?" said DK with frustration,.. Ovi, is crying bitterly, Tej is supporting her,,Archana is standing there in a corner with agony on her face...
Arjun who has been pacing along the length of the room .. rubbing his forehead with his left hand..comes to a stop "Dad, dad.. you are right .. I am in love, and you are right dad.. I have changed..I have never realized what happiness means, i have been leading my life .. but now I am living my life.. "...
Arjun .. rubbing behind his neck with his left hand continues "dad you told me..how mom filled the colors in your life.. how mom changed you as a person...Purvi did the same thing .. dad she filled my life with colors", "Purviii" "Purviii" "Purviii" ..DK, Manav say out loud while Tej and Archana mouth Purvi's name.. everyone are shocked with the revelation..Ovi still has no idea who Purvi was,.. but it is heartbreaking for her.. her hopes and dreams have hit the bottom...

Meanwhile..Purvi is in profound internal turmoil where she is unable to resolve what to do ? On one side, she is witnessing the happiness of her Aai, baba, Ovi, Tej, AAji ...on the other side she has her happiness along with Arj...she shrugs her thoughts about Arjun and wishes Arjun to be happy with Ovi and reminiscing Arjun's words where he says that his happiness lies with Purvi, she is his world and is scared to imagine a life without her...she tightly shuts her ears as fresh tears pool in her eyes while her heart twinges at the thought of her life without Arjun...she feels awful...
Purvi, composes herself and resolves to let go off Arjun, so that he marries Ovi,. and everyone's happiness is in this.. thinking so,, she straightens up herself on the metal bench in the Gazebo..."What about your happiness Purvi..can you ever be happy in life ?" mocked her inner voice.."My happiness is in Aai baba's happiness and i don't want Aai-baba to have any differences because of me" says out purvi...
"Do you think Arjun will consent with your obtuse thoughts" once again mocked her inner voice..."he will have to.. I will make him consent to this " said Purvi with a determination in her voice.. but her eyes and her tears tell a different story.. she walks to the iron railing of the gazebo and stands there in despondency

Arjun scans around the room..to see all faces staring at him in bewilderment,,,"Yes dad.. we are in love, and yes, Purvi is the one who changed your insensitive, inhuman, arrogant, egoistic, astute Arjun Kirloskar into simple, happy and sensitive Arjun...she showed me what true happiness is,.. which i have never experienced prior to meeting her,.she showed me how to live life and not to lead life...dad my happiness is only with Purvi.." Arjun kneels down near DK, who is sitting on the couch.. holds his dad's hands in his hands, pleading him and requesting him '.with truth and tears in his eyes.. DK is dumbfounded with the turn of events, on one hand he has heartbroken Ovi, his angel, and on the other side, his sad and subdued son, who is his life.
Arjun walks up to Manav, lowers his head, "Manav uncle, I am sorry..I,,"
Archana says aloud "Purvi...but where is Purvi." Arjun realizing that he did not see her since then.."Manav uncle give me sometime .. i will be back and explain everything.. sorry uncle.. i will be back in a while" , said Arjun taking out his cell phone and calling Purvi...
Ovi is crying and is anguished, supported by Tej..Ovi was about to faint because of the deep affliction, which she could not endure any more..

Purvi is startled with her cell phone ring.. she checks it and disconnects it.. He keeps calling her but she disconnects .. he sends her texts ... asking her to pick up the phone. but she chose to ignore them,,,
Arjun is running around the hotel asking the hotel staff and other guests about her..someone points him to the rear of the hotel.. saying they have seen a girl near the gazebo.. ..he is continually calling her.. until he notices her standing in the gazebo,,,,heaves a sigh of relief and runs towards her..

Purvi feels a hand over her left shoulder, she knew who it was, she wipes her tears before facing the person, sees the person standing behind her and turns her head back,.. as she cannot look into his eyes..
Arjun, places his hands on either side of her shoulders and turns her to face him, "Purvi look at me..please purvi..look at me...I need to talk to you ..." "sir, please leave me." said Purvi with a blank face and a shaky voice..
"I know Purvi.. I should have told this before.. I am sor..." '.. "Congratulations Sir" purvi cuts him mid-sentence...and starts to walk out from the place .. Arjun grabs her arm, pulls her close to him and holds her arms...their eyes meet... they can feel their breath on their faces .. Purvi is breathing heavy and she is besotted in his eyes.. Arjun is in the same state... neither can break the stare ..after a few minutes.. Purvi breaks the stare..and she frees herself from his hold...and stands a apart...
"Purvi listen to me.. please.. Purvi all that what you have seen there ' it was just..." ,"Sir.. I am really not interested in your personal life..." said Purvi facing away from him.. "Purvi.. what is wrong with you...and what is it about my personal life..it is about our life Purvi.." said Arjun losing his patience...his honest and genuine words and his eyes which reflect love, only for her, makes her heart feeble
He holds on either side of her shoulders and tries to make her look at him so that he can make her understand the situation..."Purvi.. I love you and you know that how much you mean to me..give me one chance to explain myself.." .. she frees herself from his firm hold and steps back..."Purvi.. look, the engagement did not happen.. it was just a misunderstanding Purvi and I have made it clear to everyone that, I love you and my life is desolate without you"
"Indeed it is a misunderstanding sir,," Arjun heaves a sigh of relief, hearing that purvi agrees this to be a misunderstanding..."ohh I am so happy Purvi.. I know you would trust me with regards to this being a misconception.." saying so he was about to hug her.. Purvi pushes him back.. "Sir let me complete what I have to say,,," a new confusion dawned on Arjun...
"now what's wrong purvi... and what is with this sir... sir.. call me Arjun..."... "sir, i am your employee and you are my boss and i think i have to call you sir based on the position,,," .Arjun is completely bewildered not able to make head or tail of it..
"Purvi.. relax.. I know you are angry with me.. this is not the time to play pranks .. come on Purvi.. you are giving me hard time..." said Arjun trying to diffuse the situation...Purvi for a second.. gives into his plea, and when the images of her aai, baba and ovi flash across her face and she is back to her charade...
"Sir .. I respect you as my boss.. I am just your employee and not your friend or lover to play pranks with you" said Purvi with a brave face...Arjun is completely lost and not able to make any sense of what Purvi is talking.. "but Purvi.. ", he is unable to continue his question.. Purvi jumps in "I know sir.. you must be thinking my behavior over last 2 days.." "Purvi...it's not behavior for god's sake.. it's love, it's our relation .. and don't try to put this charade in front of me..." said Arjun impatiently...
"No sirrr... it's not love..and we have no relationship.. I never loved you nor will ever love you." screamed Purvi turning towards Arjun and staring into his eyes .. with each of her words she is uttering her heart is twitched.. but she has to go ahead with this for the happiness of her aai, baba...
.Arjun is getting impatient and angry with the nonsense she is dishing out, but he is obstinate to make a sense out of this whole lame thing Purvi is putting up..
"Sir, how can you even think, that a middle class girl like me would fall in love.. as i have told before that i have no feelings for you.." .. Purvi gulps down and continues.."Sir.. ever since your arrival here,, you have been insulting me day in and day out, in front of the staff... made me work all day and night..taunted me..humiliated me at every given chance..you forced me to resign..and later when your work suffered you called me back...and because of your mean intentions towards me .. vinay broke off the engagement... and because of you i have been humiliated once again due to the MMS scandal..and you have created a scene before my aaji.. and all i wanted was to humiliate you and insult you in the same way as you did ".. and continued further.."I wanted to take this act of being in love with you,. till our engagement and humiliate and insult you by deprecating among all the guests..but sir.. now since you are moving on in your personal life .. I would like to put off my ploy so that it wouldn't hurt Ovi" said Purvi and mumbles "aai and baba"...with a desolate look on her face...
Arjun, who has been listening to all this.. chides himself for taking it too long to realize why she is doing all this...he realizes the real reason behind her turnaround, all she wants is her Aai-baba and her sister Ovi's happiness.. I should have guessed it.. Arjun chides himself once again.. and a small smile plays on his lips and he thinks .. yes this is so like his Purvi...shakes his head and thinks about the weird way she is opting to sacrifice their love and he takes it on himself to make her understand a few things..and stop her from committing a mistake that she would regret all her life
.Arjun is still contemplating how to proceed the conversation without actually making it worse.. Purvi, is expecting a reaction from him.. but his silence and a smile on his lips, dawned a new apprehension on her..
"Sir, i think you have got the wrong end of the stick.. I said.. I do not love you and I am happy you are moving ahead in your life" said Purvi unable to understand his silence and the little smile which appeared on his lips..
"no no no Ms.Purvi.. I got it all right.. in fact I would like to thank you for ending all this so amicably" said Arjun looking at her inquisitively .. where he sees a streak of anguish crossing her face..he further continued, "Ms.Purvi, by any chance, are you not happy with your decision" asked Arjun with a glint in his eyes.. "no sir ..no sir.. i am happy that I need not continue with the ploy any longer.. and congratulations sir..." Purvi extended her hand, Arjun shook her hand.. and said "see you in the office sharp 8 am".. "sorry sir .. I cannot come to the office .. I am giving my resigna..." Arjun jumped .."hold on Ms. Purvi..you are the new boss ..do not forget that.. and why are you resigning, do you still hold any feelings for me.." ...queried Arjun trying to corner her with his volley of words .
.Purvi gulps down and puts up a brave face "See you in the office at 8 am sir" "See you Ms.Purvi ...8 am sharp" Purvi nods and Arjun walks out of the gazebo,,, Purvi has her eyes on his retreating figure which disappeared in a few moments...
Purvi broke down and falls to the ground on her knees.. cries her heart out and drains away all her tears.. she is in such a state of bleak and dismal emptiness.. with each step Arjun was taking away her she felt her heart was being pulled out of her being.. but consoles herself.and lets out "Aai and aaji took care of an orphan like me.. and I want Aai to be happy.. i can do anything for my aai... Aai's happiness is in Ovi's happiness and baba's happiness and Ovi's happiness is with Arjun...Arjun.. I have lost the right to call him Arjun." and cries in pain.."for me the last two days will be the best days of all my life.. which i will cherish and embrace for the rest of my life.. " and continues in between her sobs "I know, I gave him deep anguish ..he will have to get over this.. ,as this is the only way to give happiness to aai and all others from my side.. they deserve all the happiness.. " lets out Purvi in a low tone, in between her sobs...
"And what about our happiness Purvi" said Arjun walking to her briskly .. Purvi is startled and shocked to hear his voice... Arjun comes and sits across her on his knees and looks deep into her eyes.. while she is not able to meet his eyes, "Purvi ..I need to know one last thing from you"..purvi wipes off her tears "yes sir"
Arjun grabs her hand and places her hand on his head, purvi is shocked, she can clearly see the question coming from him, and tries to pull her hand... but Arjun has a firm grip on her hand.. "Purvi.. just tell me one thing.." Purvi looks at him with tears pooling in her eyes.."Are you happy without me..Is your happiness only in being away from me.. .don't try to lie Purvi.. If that is what you feel ' then I am ready to let go of you Purvi", saying so he released his grip on her hand.. Purvi's hand falls down to the ground and tears are continuously flowing down her cheeks in between sobs..
"Purvi all I want is your happiness, if you are really happy being away from me by sacrificing our love...then... ",Arjun stops while Purvi breaks down and sobs bitterly.."Arjun... " Arjun looks at her with a hope and she throws herself into his arms "Arjun.. '" words fail to depict her thoughts.. Arjun hugs her back.. silence prevails,,,where you can hear two hearts beat rhythmically as one...
Arun breaks the hug.. wraps his hands around her shoulders and they both stand up in their place.. they head to the other end of the gazebo .. where there is a metal bench,.Arjun makes her sit and wraps his blazer around her shoulders.. and sits beside her...
He makes her to rest her head on his shoulder, for a few minutes until she calms down a bit.. "Purvi" .."hmm" "look at me" she looks into his eyes which has genuine and honest love for her.."you know what you were about to do...in life, you wanted to have the best for your parents and your sister.. your intentions were not wrong..but you would end up hurting everyone unintentionally because of your so called sacrifice..." Purvi is understanding what he was trying to say..."Purvi, do you think. that Archana aunty and Manav uncle would be happy, if they come to know about our love and sacrifice...do you think, Ovi would get all the happiness she deserves, if I married her.. would you ever be happy sharing your life with anyone..would your parents, my dad, ever be happy seeing gloominess in our lives,,,,when none of us would ever be happy all our lives...I do not see the reason for this Purvi" Purvi understood what Arjun was trying to explain.. she could see the depth of his words..
."but Arjun, Ovi .." ..."hmmm Ovi loves me, right from her childhood..but it is one-sided.. i have never seen her more than a friend, and i cannot see her as my life partner..I do not love her Purvi.. you are my love.. you are my life and you are my happiness" Arjun hold her hands and kisses them.. as he once again got back his precious life...
"Purvi.. we all have to make Ovi understand,. and i am sure we all can make her see through it.. " Purvi nods in agreement..."Purvi, you know what my mom says...love is divine. it is a gift of god and we should never let go of it..." Purvi has tears of happiness along with a glint of sadness for her happiness is overshadowing her sister's happiness '
"Purvi..when such situations come up in life, we should stand together. be each other's support and try to tide over the situation...we should have implicit trust not only in each other. but also we should have immense trust in our relation." after a pause he continues " Purvi , if i remember correctly,,,you told me that, we should face the failure, as failures and tough times make us and our relations stronger.. let's take this situation as the bad phase and try to tide over it.. standing by each other.." Purvi smiles at his lengthy discourse and is very happy that as promised, earlier in the day, he is with her and for her and solved her biggest problem where she would have unintentionally hurt everyone around her,,,and would regret for the rest of her life...
"why are you smiling" asked Arjun quaintly.. "nothing '" purvi nods her head in negative.."toh phir chale '"says Arjun standing up.."hmm lets go" stands up Purvi adjusting his blazer over her shoulders,,,
Arjun hugs her to his side, "I love you Purvi, please never leave my side for the rest of our lives" .. "Do Not Disturb..." said Purvi with a teasing smile.. Arjun with a frown lets out a laugh.. they both walk towards the hotel.. while their little chatter is becoming tender
