i believe this is the first time you mentioned her.

Yes . I don't read her regularly or every year though . But she is one of my favorites . The Mill on the Floss , especially , it was the first book I read .

A guide, a philosopher, a friend, she is a special person for many here on the forum.

Indeed Di, u are a true friend, guide and a philosopher.

Di, how do you always manage to give a very balanced and convincing opinion to any given situation? I really admire u for this .

Di, if you were asked to give a brief message to the younger generation (married / unmarried) on family values, What would you say?

Why are you not updating your Blog?

Thank u so much for the kind words of appreciation . I dunno if I am all that , 😆 But U always said so . Its a very great compliment .

Di, how do you always manage to give a very balanced and convincing opinion to any given situation? I really admire u for this . Do I really manage to do that ? Wow ! 😆 I never knew I had that kind of effect . Like I said , I don't really know if the opinions I give are correct or not . What I do , is simply state them exactly as i feel . Sometimes I don't feel like what the others r saying . Yet I go ahead and say them and I make it a point to give my reasons too ...Thats all . To some they come across as balanced as I give the point of view of all . Am at that stage of life currently where I cannot be blinded by fascination for ANY idol . I think any opinion , when presented with reasons , becomes convincing . The reasons that appeal to the readers make that opinion balanced or biased . All depends on reasoning . Some find me an Archana hater , some find my arguments valid and say , Oh she has a point . It depends on how the reasoning appeals to whom .

But I think this is the greatest compliment I received . As I know for a fact that u DO read me , always .

Di, if you were asked to give a brief message to the younger generation (married / unmarried) on family values, What would you say? I would say that if they want to preserve family values ...and want to carry them forward , they will have to practice what they wish for . Any value ...if it has to be given effect, has to be rigorously upheld and practised . If you wish that your children should ask after u in old age , u must not discard your parents when they r old , even if they r imperfect . The duty has to be done dispassionately . Doing duties does NOT mean tolerating injustice from elders . Doing duties also does NOT mean stunting your own self development . The younger generation often confuses the value of Duty and fear it or shirk it . You must find a way to pursue your dreams to the fullest as this is your chance at life and you must do your duties too . You MUST try hard to achieve this blend . If you do this , all values r preserved . If u become selfish at a certain point and discard all to achieve ur goal , sure it feels great at that moment but it comes back to bite you later . When u put I before the WE , You do away with values . This is my opinion . The development of the I has to be done by nurturing the WE .

Duty should be done for YOURSELF , not for OTHERS . It is a must .

I hope that was not too preachy .😊

Why are you not updating your Blog? Sorry about that . Will do so soon . 😊
