First of all, quoting is not attacking. Otherwise, IF wouldn't have provided this feature. So the point of quoting or not quoting is really not a point in your favour.😊
Secondly, even though people objected to your ONE statement, they did it in a CIVIL manner. I wrote a very polite post to you, in which I literally REQUESTED you, even gave you BENEFIT OF DOUBT (by saying that your comment is unknowingly hurting members.) We requested you not to make sarcastic comments even in JEST cos we could see they were hurting members who were having a party in this thread. This thread is meant for POSITIVITY, not for hurling unpleasant comments even in jest which can hurt others. You seem to have closed your eyes to the obvious fact that the party ENDED after the way you made sarcastic comments at other's but not everyone else is like that.
People asked you to keep your sarcastic comments out of your thread, THAT IS IT. It was you who extended the matter by calling Varsha Di OVER PROTECTIVE and me PARANOID and repeatedly emphasising that the thread was a bore. I even asked you not to spoil my efforts and ruin this thread by making members uncomfortable by calling their discussion boring and preachy, and welcomed you to post some other fun questions. I tried to say that at least do not spoilt the party for the other members if you find it boring yourself. Repeatedly I tried to steer out of the fight by saying, lets leave all this and continue with the thread. If I really wanted to blow things out of proportion, I could have asked you to get out of the thread if you are not interested in it. But I didn't do that- I was polite with you and requested you not to mock, but instead to post some other fun questions. But what did YOU do?
You called me and Varsha Di PARANOID, you called Varsha Di (the eldest member of the forum) OVER PROTECTIVE when she tried to defend her question about Karna, you repeatedly mocked at the conversation of the rest of the members calling it 'PREACHINESS' and a SERMON. You even mocked at my use of color coding (when I literally REQUESTED you to give an amicable reply). You blamed me for spoiling this thread by saying that I had blown the matter out of proportion, when I had not- I had been polite and not expressed anger at you or asked you to get out of the thread and instead called out for peace inspite of the fact that you gave a sarcastic reply to Varsha Di too. All this I did, cos I didn't want anyone to get hurt- I could see it happening in the thread.
And in the end, you bashed the mods of the forum calling them BIASED and UNFAIR when they rightfully reprimanded you.
I understand however. With all this name calling, you kept repeating the same argument ('My one sentence in sarcastic jest') about which I've already replied earlier- that please keep your sarcastic jest out of this thread, it is clearly HURTING members. Clearly, you have no other argument to strengthen your position, and hence resorted to name calling. I understand, it is a phenomenon called displacement. 😊When a person is unable to accept his mistake/failure/weakness or has no way to defend himself/herself, he/she vents it out on the whole world, calling them names. First you gave a sarcastic reply to Varsha Di, then called me and her names in the thread, and now when the mods are giving you warnings, you are blaming them as well! Now, after this post, I'm sure, I will be called names too- impolite, rude, superior attitude, god-knows- what, show-off etc etc. I completely understand.😊
The whole world is wrong- me, Varsha Di, Kools, members having the discussion, members clicking like button on posts against you and warnings by the mods, the mods, only you are not wrong, hai na?😊
In the end...I think everyone is intelligent and can make their own judgements...and tell right from wrong...Oh yes, that is why everyone is supporting the mods.😊
I have always felt that this forum has a lot of groupism...which is supported by the mods who are eventually just one of the group members...
This is not my life...and I do not spend all my time here...neither is this forum the be all of my social life...so it doesn't matter to me...I think it does to a lot of those who fight so strongly for their fun posts and pleasures...
However, I do believe that a forum is a place where each and every member with their own personal view...whether for or against...is welcome...Absolutely. And it is also a place where other people's fun, their views, their involvement must be RESPECTED. It is the basic rule everywhere. If you choose to mock at it, then you must also be prepared for the people to react to that. You can't expect people to swallow your sarcastic replies quietly and not say a word in return.
What kind of intervention was this...where one sentence (relevant to the post)...is classified as creating chaos...Wrote about it above. It was not just your one sentence, but also the fact that you personally attacked members, made repeated jabs at them and ultimately ruined the atmosphere of the thread.
I would like a review of this entire post and episode...and its correct understanding...with reference to me and my post...Well, I've done it for you. So I hope now, things have cleared up for you.😃
I do not take it lightly to be addressed as such...
I would request the mods to do their jobs objectively and free from bias towards their friends...
This is not a forum for select group members...it is a forum for everyone...each member makes it a group...Clearly you haven't been very active in this forum, otherwise you would have known that this forum has the most UNBIASED mods. A few weeks ago, they had closed one of Kools thread also. They gave her also a warning in EDT few days back when they felt her language was a little harsh. Jaz is comparatively new in the forum and isn't even part of any group as such. In fact none of the mods are part of any group, they don't post much in the forum only. 😆 The mods here may not post a lot, but they look into the complaints of the members and help them when required, like in this thread. And this is the reason that we appreciate them and stand by them.
And since you have given so much of advice to the mods- I would like to give you a piece of friendly advice as well- gather your facts first before making such huge conclusions and declarations about the forum.
Thankyou very much for spoiling my thread, my efforts etc. This is the first time an ROTW thread has taken this turn. Oh and yeah, I hope you like this color coded post. I tried a new style this time.😊
To the mods: I'm sorry if it was wrong of me to intervene in this manner. But I couldn't tolerate that after spoiling the fun in this thread and picking at the members, she picked at you also.
