It's very heartwarming to receive such beautiful thoughts from others šŸ¤—
To me, you are also one of the caring and amazing members and friends I have interacted with on this forum. I love you all and truly appreciate all your kind words. I'm honestly very touched and impressed by the younger ones in this forum whom I chat with / exchange ideas with, because you all come across as very respectful and responsible young people, who have been well raised by your families. šŸ¤—
Keep growing as you have so far and always remember what your elders have taught you. This, combined with your life experiences, will help you to know what path to follow in life. Most importantly, always remember the Great One above, in which ever manner you connect with Him.

Kools, I did not understand this part. I have two doubts, hope you will clear them.

Consummation as in, real consummation? As far as I knew, Kunti had a boon, a mantra, according to which when she prayed/meditated on a particular form of God, the God came and gave her his child/blessed her with a child--- i.e. I've read two versions - one which says he blessed her with a child, and one which says he gave her HIS child which would be having the qualities of that God, like Karna was majestic like his father Suryadeva and Yudhishtira had the qualities of Dharmadeva etc. But was it a REAL consummation between Kunti and them?šŸ˜• I always thought the children were born due to the power of the boon!šŸ˜•

Plus, weren't Nakul Sahdeva kids of Madri born due to the same boon? So Kunti would have had kids with 4 men, hain na? (Karan's father Suryadeva + 3 after marriage). Or were the twin kids given away to Madri, but were Kunti's?

I'm totally confused now.

Thanks again Kools for detailed answer on my Q abt Vidur.
I also thought Vidur and Bheeshma the only two worth being kings of Hastinapur and neither could be one as one was Daasi's son and the other had to take Pratigya never to marry. New mother wanted her son to be the next king. This is how Bheeshma Pratigya came about.
Yes this conversation is very enriching and full of knowledge.
Umi Darling you are da best. Sharon defo is new addition to the active members grp and I am happy to know her too 😃
We have so many great members in this section. I enjoy being here and love u all. šŸ¤—

Varsha,
Your post was uplifting. It's great to have these types of conversations at times, as they're very educational. Unfortunately, I'm not as versed as you all are on this topic, but I'm enjoying the education. Whenever I go to yagnas, poojas, satsangs etc., I go for the educational aspect. The pundits (Hindu priests)here, explain verses as they go along and usually relate the message to current/local situations, so we can understand.
@blue...thank you so much for the kind words. When I read them, I felt loved šŸ¤—

niki I was out ...I was thinking of same thing ...I wud come back and correct my error . In hurry , I had made error . But before I cud , it was read .😊

Kunti had 6 boons

The mantra evoked the Gods

The God came , they consummated and a very divine child was conceived .

Now when Surya came , she got scared and requested him to go back .

He told her he cud not , as the mantra bound him .

She wept and said she wud be shamed in society .

He said after the consummation and birth , she wud remain like virgin with a special blessing .

That was Suryas special blessing to her to my knowledge , will check and reaffirm it

When Pandu was barred from consummation by The sages , Kunti told him of the mantras .

Pandu gave consent .

Kunti had used one .5 remained . She gave two mantras to Madri .

Nakul and Sahdev were born when Ashwini Kumars were invoked .

Kunti has 4 sons [ including Karna] and Madri ...Two .

Consummation VERY MUCH took place . No ready made child was given .

It is clearly mentioned the conception took place due to the TEJ of the divine gods .

It means their male consummatory capacity . Tej has two meanings . Often in ancient literature its used to denote the above too .

Okay now I understood. I used to think it was either god giving ready made child, or god giving child through.. umm.. magical consummationšŸ˜†.. I mean consummation without getting physical.. you know like... due to power of gods, like magic.šŸ˜† (I don't know how to explain beyond this😳)

Thanks for clearing this one. I didn't know there was a real consummation.

Kools Totally correct info from what I know.
And Surya's blessings or Vachan to Kunti that she will remain Virgin after the birth of Karna.
