According to Maharashtrian tradition, in weddings, the bride and the groom take each other's name in verses when others force them too. It is a fun thing with a lot of teasing by the friends of the groom usually, especially if the couple is shy and do not take each other's name in verses easily. More shy the couple, more they are harassed and tortured😉. These verses (or two line poems, to simplify it) can be about anything. These verses are said usually when they feed each other for the first time etc.

Sadly, we never got to see this in PR.

It would be fun however, if the members here could contribute some from Manav and Archana's side.

The ukhanes are in Marathi, but if you can write a poem or a verse or anything in any Hindi or English, it would be fun too.

For those who couldn't understand, I will be posting one a little later as a sample.

For those who are Maharashtrian, please start posting,

For those who are Maharashtrian and married, posting is COMPULSORY!!! 😡😃😆

EDIT ADD: While posting Ukhanes in Marathi, please write a small translation in English as well)
