She waited each time for his family to set marraige dates [ those ghonchus took two whole years] although instant marraige was promised to her .She did NOT drag Manav to court holding his collar and his vachan over his saintly head .

She gave up insurance money For Vandus wedding dowry
She stayed with a saas like Savita who is no Sulochna or Bhavnaand although Savita has gone light on her compared to Archna , She is pretty sharp at times..........Shravni did NOT treat her like Manju treated Sulochna
She displayed faith in Manav although outsiders told her he is flirting with a woman
She cooked and sewed just like Archna . In fact if Archna does it its no big deal as she is anyway from middle class house and was trained to do it since ninth standard . Shravni was rich girl and yet did it so its more commendable
Damodar was openly favouring Archu yet Shravni was pretty decent to him .
She respected Manavs EGO about not accepting her Dads monetary help and kept quiet .Not many women wud do it .
THe truth was she was never given a CHANCE . These people were so immersed in singing sonnets dedicated to Archna that they hardly noticed how nicely shje was behaving . When she wore cottn saris she was accused of copying Archu .Her cooking efforts etc were criticised by forum members .They cud only see her screeching voice . No one noticed how coldly Manav treated her or how wild Archna drove her with her constant rushing to Manav .
One cannot say Shravni behaved nicely with Manavs family ........for Manav she did NOTHING .It must be remembered that Manav and his family r synonymous . Love for Manav is quantified with respect to how much Manavs wife does for his family .Archu did precisely that . She left Manav so his mother cud have her grandchild .Sachu .
As Far as why she did not like Archu , why she was disrespectful tyo Archu etc is concerned , I dont understand why it is expected that everyone shud love Archu rushing into Manavs arms to take over each time . It can be pretty annoying f u look at it objectively .Archu is an ex wife who is just not letting go and constantly hovering around Manav .Why the hell shud Manavs fiancee like her or love her .
Ur 100% correct. But neither has Shravni done anything good for Manavs family. Yes she has adjusted but she knew she had to adjust anyways because she was going to marry Sachin. She knew very well where he came from. Yet she had fallen in love with him and now Manav. What makes her a negative person is not her direct actions, but inablity to see when everything is in front of her. If you talk about a egoistic Manav, then Shravni is the same and so is Archu. Each one of them has ego that has blind sighted them on doing what is correct. By living in a chawl vs a flat, by wearing cotten saris vs silk ones, by going in a bus/train vs a/c car, by cooking n cleaning vs ordering someone to do so, does not make you a humble person. Her being rich doesn't mean that she isn't expected to know how to cook but its expected from uneducated middle class women. What kind of judgement is that? Yes i agree with you that being a fiancee and having to see your to be husbands wife all the time can get annoying. However, trust is the key that opens all hearts. Which Shravni has not fully done, not with Manav, his family nor Archu. Why because deep down she knows she is wrong. Everything aside, Archu, baby Sachin, Manav's family, rich, poor, put all that aside, I have one question for Shravni that not only proves what she does is wrong but makes all her so called "scarafices" useless just like Archu's. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO MARRY SOMEONE THAT YOU KNOW DOES NOT LOVE YOU AND NEVER WILL LOVE YOU? She knows that for a fact. Archu has just came back, but for a year she has been alone with Manav, yet she has not been able to create a space in his heart, why? Because there is not place in his heart for anyone else. So when you know all this, yet you are hell bent on putting the "person you love" in missery, then I am sorry nor Can I respect you or even commend your "goodness". I always say this, this whole situation is a creation by none other then the three of them, Archu, Manav and Shravni. Manav in a rush make the wrong judgement and he is a man of his word, Archu being sati savitri never objected to her husbands judgement, and Shravni being unknown of what she knows, yet ruining not only Manav and Archu's life, but hers as well.
