Tulsey, many people marry without being in love but their marriages turns out fine. As long as people have trust, understanding, respect in marriage, love can happen or not happen but still marriage can work out. Now here the case gets complicated coz Archana is in love with Manav. But people are able to put their past life and love behind and move on if they really want to. Jaywant if he is a right person could play important role in making Archana forget her past. Jawant not only cares for his success but also for Archana's mental preparedness for a second marriage and thats why he put this condition for marriage. Now it all depends on what CV wants to show Jaywants as. Look at Shravani, she fell in love with Manav against all odds didn't she? I know her case is different but to begin with Manav-Shravani relation was not based on love but Shravani started loving Manav later after putting her past behind.
I agree . Have u seen the movie Kabhie Kabhie ? Rakhi is immensely in love with Amitabh ........but she has a surprisingly happy marraige with Shashi . Shashi is out going , extrovert , jovial , while Amitabh is serious , intense , broody , of a moody artistic temparament . Yet her marraige with Shashi is exactly what she needs to move on in life . If the life partner is exactly opposite of what ur lover is , it actually wORKS miraculously like an antidote , wud u believe it . Even if ur deeply in love , u get on happily in ur marraige sometimes . Reality is so different than the crap they show in serials .Kabhie Kabhie was one such movie that dealt with this reality .
If u notice , ARMAN nEVER had a marraige in real sense aT ALL .The marraige was not consummated . Not even till kissing level . In Kabhie Kabhie at least we saw some degree of physical intimacy where he sleeps with head on Rakhee's lap etc ...........its a kind of difficult to get over with if physical proximity sets in . After 15 days she went .The next staying together was the 3 months court stay with so many people nagging them .
Then the seperation and some bumping in outside . Where was the marraige ? It never took off . Always it had more problems than happiness .In fact I dont see any happy moments at all . Just some phoney eyelocks put in at a later stage by cVs with a sufi song in the background . The problems were far more than the basic attraction that persisted and was called 'lOVE" . But then that so called 'lOVE" was not strong enough to stop them from divorcing .
Ajit Vandu , although married in incompatible circumstances , actually lived with each other and had a marraige .Goood , bad , worse .....they had one coz they lived together . They r still living with each other . We see that After a very rocky start , the ship is actually sailing on calmer waters now . It happens . But for it to happen staying together is a must . In ARMANs case , this staying together only never happened . Baaki sab kuch happened , this staying together didnt happen .
