Russian toast [ with mashed potato filling] and vegetable Pulao and boondi raita for those who dont want a snacky dinner

Twins had a birthday party even today so they ate pizza even there . Dunno who is gonna eat dinner ,,,,,,Hubby has headache and son is constantly guzzling lemonade

sounds delicious goh. Is the russian toast wrapped and deep fried like a spring roll? If so, my mom makes somethign like that too. It is so yumo. Wow. I should make that some time.

Kool goh, mom used to make a vatana curry / dish when we were little and we used to eat with date and tamarind chutney and pao. are you familiar with this dish?

Kool goh, mom used to make a vatana curry / dish when we were little and we used to eat with date and tamarind chutney and pao. are you familiar with this dish?

Did it have coconut curry base ?A thin one ? I used to eat it at Mamas house in Goa. For morning breakfast . They call Pav as Unde and this vatana curry ..........Hope , Which vatanas ?Green ones or black ?The soaked black ones .....is that what ur talking about ?

definitely had curry base. looked like white vatanas?? and we would have it either with gutli or pav? Mom used to soak it the previous night. Also she would add some (very very little) fresh corriander chopped? I used to love the chutney and of course the curry. OK now I really really want to make this dish.

If I had a choice I would eat Indian veg food everyday. 😆😆 but hubby and son are big meat eaters. Mummy still mostly cooks veg food and fish. the meat is mostly for sundays and festache dis. 😃

mom is so old now, she has forgotten most of her recipes, so when I ask her she will sometimes muddle up couple of recipes and then apologize to me. I feel bad to ask her goh.

Ago Hope same position here . Mom is so old , she muddles up on the phone .Sometimes I rememind her and then she says Ha Ha , Hai Go !
My mom made what ur saying ........Dhavya Watanyache tonnaak . White watanas soaked over night , then made into thin coconut curry , [ Coconut roasted ] seaseoned with garlic sometimes .Garnished with chopped coriander
Same can be made by soaking black watanas , or green .In Peas season in India , fresh green peas r used .

Also now I have vivid memories of when daddy used to take us to mapusa for shopping and we used to go to this konkana restaurant. yummy thali with tisryochi kodhi, khube. tendli. kokumache udok, uff!!! mouth is so watering. sheet used to be served in round vatis and flipped upside down so that it was shaped like a mound. ok got to stop now or I will go nuts. 😆😆

Kool, khore sangta goh, Let's plan trip to Goa and Bombay for two weeks. Will only eat, go to beach, go to juhu and totally dhamaal enjoy. 😆😆😆

Most people on forum do not hate Shravani coz she got pregnant before marriage, they hate her coz of the way she treats Archana, disregard Archana's sacrifice and is insensitive towards her. They call her shameless coz just few months after Sachin's death she has already moved on and is in love again with his elder brother who is not yet divorced from his wife and she boldly proclaims her love for him in front of his wife and is fighting for him in an undignified manner.
If Shravani has been entertained to glorify Manav then CVs plan must hv backfired coz most of the people in forum are back lashing Manav for agreeing to marry Shravani. Whether Manav's marriage to Shravani is to glorify Manav or is to show acceptance of unwed mom in society or to add spice to the drama is one's own perception.
I don't think Satish was ever told that Archana was still a virgin. Bhavana knew that but who is to say that Bhavna made decision to get Satish married to Archana only coz of the fact that she was still virgin. Bhavna was not too much bugged by the fact that Varsha had an affair before marriage either. She didn't try to instigate Satish with this opportunity to malign Varsha even though she was not in favour of the marriage.

Ago majya tondaak paani sutla . Hope tisryo anni Goyche Kaale Khube ........We dont get them anywhere else ! Ani Kodi ..........pink Pink Kodi . Yeah We will surely one day go to Goa only to relax and EAT BIG TIME .
U spoke of Mapusa .........I lived nearby only anmd frquented Mapusa market to buy fehjao and Khaaro bazaar . Suki Sungta , Suko Bangdo , Bombil all for kismur .........

Dunno if it is same like ur mom , but most goans make it . Will send it tomorrow via pm . Going to bed now , once more , sorry for delay in replying .Had to rush coz twins were hungry and fighting [ cat fight] and son was frantically trying to stop it and was being IGNORED by the two brats who were rather enjoying it . Gave them a Time Out and a U shud be ashamed of Urself lecture and made them stand in two different corners for 10 minutes as punishment and while they were standing , served dinner ..........😆
