wonderful update... I was laughing like hell. You have a real gab of sarcasm.

You know, even though they might be showing Savita changing for Archu's sake and the shakkar philosophy winning- I for one, DID NOT WANT IT TO HAPPEN AT ALL. It was too unrealistic to see Savita feel guilty for her behaviour towards Archana since she stood up for her, and never feel guilty for her behavior towards HER SON MANAV (whom she has conveniently cheated all these years by picking from his pocket, blackmailing and by breaking up his marriage/) even though he stands up for her as well a LOT OF TIMES, even broke off his relations with his wife cos of Savita's torture in jail.

To me, Savita cheating Manav was an equally big crime, since she is Manav's OWN MOTHER AND NOT EVEN A STEPMOTHER.

But I guess that since Savita has ALREADY become positive they will never show Savita feel sorry for the way she treated her son.

It would have been so much better to see Manav breaking relations with his Aai, Savita being horrified, depressed and shocked, and finally Archu helping her to join relations with Manav again. That would have made Savita far more guilty to Manav. IT would have given more credibility to Archu's character as well, this 'suffer abuse and then some more' policy seems ineffective, impractical, and USELESS to me.

@ Kool: I don't think you've "lost", and I'm certain you don't think so either! 😊 It's not as if you or I myself or any viewer with half a brain couldn't see where all this "virtue" would take a serial heroine like Archana in the end. Lowbrow usually means predictable, remember? The point is, could we be like that even if we wanted to? Is that how we want our daughters to be? NOOOO! What defeats me about this supposedly "noble" choice of hers, one that reduces even Manav to stupefaction, is her willingness to deny her own family members their rights over her. But then that's what the ideal daughter-in-law is, someone who wipes out her past in favour of a downtrodden present.

As always, trying to find a foothold between the ledges of anger and disgust, and in complete identification for once with those who, like you, make the tempting deeps of satire their home.....

@ Nikita: Savita's turnaround, incomplete as it is, is unrealistic but it was so completely on the cards; every sign for a while now was that Savita was going to be rehabilitated. This was imperative, because if she continued to be a bad mother-in-law it would not be her failure but Archana's, for not having turned her around with patience and tolerance, and how could the serial let Archana be anything but vindicated in her faith at the end? To be the ultimate daughter in law, and to give Manav a guilt-free happy ending with her, she had to be able to eventually live in the same house with a reconciled, even affectionate Savita.

I so agree with C ...........Savita not turning around wud have been Archu's defeat !

It is sad to see that The people who brought her up and gave her a life are sidelined for the ones who want to kick her out . That too when Savita had given her the permission with her own will .And this is where I feel the creatives overdo things coz they deprived us of ARMAN moments and we see yet one more sacrificial episode of Archu nursing Shravni , her souten . My tummy churns and I start typing my commentary ! Next 15 mins I type quietly , as I talk to my son while watching the serial . Then Im off to make massalewaale baingan like Archu [ I made em today , all r invited .]😊

😆 Hail Kool! Love your commentary! Shravani is fooling herself into believing her "love" will triumph Archana's. I love that Manav is going to Archana's for five days, the poor guy will probably enjoy the peace!

Savita can keep up her act for as long as she can, the proof is there. Archana has won her over.

Savita is too important a influence on Manav's decisions to be disregarded, if at all a reunion track is to be put on the course, even by the callous standards of creatives. And hence this may be pointing to their rehabilitation mode when Shravni might be handled in another slipshod manner by them.

If you remember we had a small dialogue on Aai's influence on Him. That time you had remarked about animal instinct of a mother and bonds bet'n Her and Manav-The bonds which must have become strongest in face of camaraderie in all adversities of their hard life. That time too, I had wondered how creatives would turn around this character, if at all they contemplate reunion track. So, much as you may dislike it now, aren't they heading towards the obvious?

No dear you have not lost and most definitely the shakar philosophy has not won ...

I say this with a heavy heart but today I am more sure than ever that this guy will divorce Archana . My worse fears are about to come true ..He will divorce Archana , marry Shravani and if that is not enough ..........still make sure that Archana is completly into him and a part of his life . He will have his brother's baby, his happy mother and also the woman he loves ...He will have it all .

The person who will not have anything is Archana ....She will not have the status of a wife , no kids ...no proper respect , no money ...no husband or sasural etc , a very fed up maika . All she will have is this very destructive and unhealthy relationship with this guy who will never let her go ...He will always do something or the other to show that he still loves her , though he is more into his responsibility . And that seems to be enough for Archana not to ever question him why , how or when ????

anyway .....

For me the highlights of the show were ...

How miserable and vulnerable Savita is ..her family has stopped giving the vandita issue any importance ..the only one who could see her pain is Archana ....

How silly manohar is to say ' Jamai will come so our party is going to rock ...what the hell, Jamai of 22 days ....??? Is this man out of his brains ?

Shravani ...?? She seemed totally shocked when she heard Maanv say that because of MY DECISION I am going to go to Archu's house ...

Archu's lack of interest in romancing Manav ....she has clearly left him totally to Shravani ....

I liked the nice relationship between manju and her sasural .

Both salochna and D baba asking God for a chamatkar to keep the relationship of Manav and Archana ..

Manav even today asking Shravani's permission to go ...he is absolutely adamant about marrying her and I think even she is getting more sure of that ..

How come he never asked his wife for permission before getting engaged , till then he knew that she was innocent and a good wife ....

And of course , Manav's head over heels in love expressions in the end ...

If Savita tells her you must sleep apart for one more year for yet another Satyanarayan pooja , she will comply , tRUST ME.

Manav even today asking Shravani's permission to go ...he is absolutely adamant about marrying her and I think even she is getting more sure of that ..Precisely what I thought .

And of course , Manav's head over heels in love expressions in the end ...Naturally .The Sugar goddess leaves one with no choice but to love her .Very soon he is gonna worship the ground she stands on !
