2. No. Babitha need not stay single but I don't think HS is an ideal life partner for her . There are other men outside who are equally good and with less emotional baggage.

Agree on both, but to ignore the tagging part she would have to be a lot more gutsy as a person, that too as a mom with a daughter.

As for 2. I do agree but my experience is that it is very very difficult for people to understand and handle such a huge emotional baggage in their partners if they themselves don't carry any. The problem is here rather that Babita refuses to reflect on her experiences and is acting out of gut feeling all the time.

Also, they could have made those tracks simple and fast, just to show how to incorporate a partnership into an otherwise fulfilling life

In honesty, two people with heavy emotional baggage have a tough time getting together.. there is way too much to deal with.. for instance, take BV.. Anandi got married to a successful good looking single guy with no past baggage and the guy got her through her past insecurities with ease..

Here, Hanuman is cautious in his approach because he has lost his love once.. and same goes for Babita.. even if they wanted to show Hanuman as a widow or divorced, they shouldn't have shown such a heavy emotional undertone to it

That said, the show should have ended when mini realized Hanuman and Babita love each other.. they could have ended things then and there with confession/marriage and Mini flying away to her dreams.. the Imarti track and every that followed was not needed

Ironically Anirudh too did a show that was supposed to stress on importance of housewives😆 of course it was changed later

I think a woman's eMancipation is when she may to break the shackles of expectations.. when she can do whatever she wants without worrying what others want her to do.. that's her freedom..

Absolutely agree. Also this one is very culture sensitive. In my home country housewives are worshipped, kind of, and young women mostly go back to work early if there are grannies to tend to the children. Where I live now it takes some guts to stay home more than a year without 'objectively valid' reasons. Both kinds of expectations can be really really suffocating and exhausting depending on the situation. After many years of trying to conform I am a proud hm, cause there was a point where I couldn't put up with 3-4 hours of sleep just so I can keep my job. But it's still not easy, I do have to state my reasons over and over again.

True.. i have always been against shows rhat show a woman only finds her identity when she starts a career.. you know the shows where they show family members not caring about the wife at all and the wife starting her career and then family members realizing her worth? That's not how it should be.. no one needs to have a career to be considered respect worthy, be it man or woman.. a woman does not become empowered only when she has a career.. a man does not lose his identity if he is not career driven.. independence and empowerment have a lot to do with how you approach life, it's in your thought process, not in how much money you make

Right, then they are not realising her worth, only the amount of work she put into their lives.... It's also demeaning for a person... It's no more than being a good family employee then. Guys who stay at home and care for a large household have an even harder time I guess, but I know a few examples (all of my parents' generation).

Lol now I'm empowered... to sleep 😅😅😅

Agree with you here. In one of the regional language shows they showed a single guy in his late twenties marrying a divorcee in her mid thirties. He didn't quite understand all her pain but made her happy in his own way which freed her of her insecurities.

What they showed in PB will make people think a divorcee woman can only get a widower as second chance.🤷‍♀️

I think here HS could understand Babita’s problems to an extent not because of him being a widower but rather because of his mistreated mom... That would have been enough as a baggage for him

I wil list some of the problems of HS

1. He was an abused child

2. Heard his mother screaming every night and finally saw her death in front of his eyes.

3. Shared complicated love-hate relationship with his father.

4. Got addicted to alcohol at young age

5. Witnessed the love of his life succumbing to a disease .

6. Got accused of murdering her, got suspended from job.

It is so unrealistic of him to be sane enough to handle his own life let alone handle Babitha's problems.

On the other side it is equally unrealistic of Babitha accepting HS love for Imarti. I don't think any woman cheated by her husband will be okay with sharing love of her second husband even if his wife is dead.

CVs really messed up by pairing them. They could have remained friends and raised Mini together.
