I absolutely loved what you said here:

It’s not about being a perfect father who can’t make mistakes. It’s about being a father, period.

He needs to stop chasing perfection and start chasing dreams, dreams of a bright future for their family, and especially for his Veer Balika, which would be incomplete without him playing the role of her dear father. I wish he would stop being so harsh on himself and thinking of himself as a failure, like his dad was.

This was the girl he gave up drinking for, and would give his life for if he had to. The raw materials are all there, they just need to be crafted.

This ❤️

And word to all you said here. He needs to stop chasing perfection and considering himself a failure of a father so easily.

NB really needs to tackle his psyche correctly here....aur koi nahin samjhega what’s triggering him. There definitely seems to be some baggage of him thinking he will be a bad father just like his own dad.

He said so many wonderful things to motivate Babita during Mini’s depression track....I really hope he remembers some of his own teachings on optimism and positivity in life and finds the motivation again.

Mini is a grown teenager now so he won’t get the exact experience with her that NB had with him I guess but there is still some raising left to do with Mini that HS can handle in his own way. Yeh ek special time hai to step into the role of a father for a girl who didn’t know it most of her life and a man who didn’t know the love one can feel for their child until now.

So true though. Uncle ain’t gonna cut it for HS anymore. I would say even being a hero also isn’t gonna be enough. There’s no turning back from this yearning to be her father. The heart wants what it wants. You can’t put this genie back in the bottle, Thanedaar Saab.

I just realized during their conversation the other day that even being just her hero won't be enough. He definitely wants more and is battling his emotions, dealing with the internal conflict of haq vs. fear vs. confidence. It's actually quite fascinating if you think about it.

Waise this reminds me of the way HS got irritated with Mickey for calling him Hanuman Uncle and said ki Uncle main chhori ka hoon, tera nahin 😂

Oh yeah! This was reserved just for his VB.

They were destined to be family. Right from the moment she first called him Uncle at the police station, he said he felt some responsibility towards her. The rest, as they say, is history.

It is very special indeed, especially as Minnie has just officially stepped into adulthood. She has so much to learn from her father and her Dadi amma.

I want NB to continue that conversation she had started when she was tying his safa. Yes the father-related baggage is there, but I also think a big part of it has to do with feeling insecure about Ashok, the fact that he could come back to Minnie's life and take his place as her father. Where would that leave HS? We all feel sure this would never happen but HS deep down is afraid of this. And now, he feels even more horrible that Minnie lost her second chance at having a father (which is not true). He will always be leagues ahead of Ashok in terms of what he's done for Minnie, in fact, they can't even be compared, if you ask me.

Now that HS and Minnie have had a taste of what it's like to have a father-daughter bond, I don't think they can ever go back to being their old selves again.

I'm glad he didn't forget and that he at least got some suggestions from Lala as to what youngsters like.

Trust HS to try and give her a useful gift.

LOL!

I have a feeling Chachi will teach both Babita and Minnie some important things. Shame she's only staying a couple of days. She's very entertaining.

I really like it whenever HS insists Makhan not call him uncle. Such proper dad speaking with daughter's guy-friend vibe.

Btw, I've been reading Makkaar makkhan a lot. 😆 Where is this coming from? Maybe I missed a scene...

Lol HS gave him this name in the O rangrez sequence wala epi....after that cooking video scene, Mickey again teases HS about the friend zone so HS says something to the effect of “us makkaar Makkhan ko Khud toh Kuch Pata hain nahin aur mujhe friend zone pe gyan de raha hai” 😂😂

It's a good thing he didn't listen to Makkhan eventually. He would have missed out!
