As for HS needing help regarding Mini: He needs Babita to help him figure out about Mini's childhood. Stuff he wasn't around for. I'm sure he was taken aback to realise that Mini had looked forward to birthday gifts from Ashok the most.

Stuff like that, if told in a proper manner of course, can provide HS a great insight into Mini's psyche.

If he knows all this stuff maybe he'll be able to approach her regarding this. Especially for the father tag, he'll have to know more about what Mini wants/wanted.

Exactly! I frankly don't think he himself can go back to just being her Hanuman Uncle. His heart wants more and being unclezoned ain't gonna cut it.

Lol yes, I get that they want there to be conflicts to have drama but I don’t think Mini sharing some of her memories will solve everything...they can still keep the emotional complications going cuz there are many layers to their evolving equation. Everything doesn’t hinge just on Mini sharing her memories with him.

They are both upfront personalities in general about many other things. Lol....I’ve loved this bond and this show in general precisely because the characters talk candidly about many things :)

Agree, they can peel back the layers one by one and take months to do it, but start somewhere please!

I know she didn't do it deliberately, but she will eventually have to also try to understand what his fears and insecurities were about.

Oh yes, that bit. Lol the CD fiasco twisted everything so much that I myself forgot this point....even though I remember making a thread about it the day the epi aired.

HS being neglected by mother-daughter was so very obvious in the build up as Mini constantly kept calling it Babes ki shaadi.....she still does btw 😆.....but now with other tamashas and conflicts, that issue has been forgotten, sadly.

I also feel that was an important thing that needed to be addressed....mother-daughter still have no idea how they neglected HS in those days and how they still haven’t really made a space for him between them and their world. That played a big part in messing up HS ki psyche as well.

He was afraid of the friendzone, but nobody told the poor guy about unclezone and now look how he's stuck. 🤣

🤣🤣@ uncle-zoned....that just cracked me up. Haha

So true though. Uncle ain’t gonna cut it for HS anymore. I would say even being a hero also isn’t gonna be enough. There’s no turning back from this yearning to be her father. The heart wants what it wants. You can’t put this genie back in the bottle, Thanedaar Saab.

Even HS is kind of making the mistake of presuming that if he made one mistake, he doesn’t know how to be a father anymore. He’s waiting for someone else to tell him that yes, he can still be a father....that it’s a journey, not an instant result.

He has to learn to be more forgiving of himself and still keep the intent to be a father going. Right now he’s acting like he is incapable of it. Not true. Try karne se hi pehle haar mat maano, Thanedaar ji.

I want him to get out of this mindset of failure. He really doesn’t seem to get his own capabilities here. Aur Mini ke father ek aap hi ho, HS ji. Phinal baat, no arguments.

@Bold - this is the saddest part about this whole situation. He seems defeated and his body language clearly says so too. I wish NB would talk to him about this because she knows him well enough and is wise enough to know how to motivate him again. Also, I would love for him to raise Minnie the way I guess NB raised him. It's like passing the torch on.

I absolutely loved what you said here:

It’s not about being a perfect father who can’t make mistakes. It’s about being a father, period.

He needs to stop chasing perfection and start chasing dreams, dreams of a bright future for their family, and especially for his Veer Balika, which would be incomplete without him playing the role of her dear father. I wish he would stop being so harsh on himself and thinking of himself as a failure, like his dad was.

This was the girl he gave up drinking for, and would give his life for if he had to. The raw materials are all there, they just need to be crafted.

Makkaar makkhan didn’t have experience with this uncle zone or he’d have warned HS about this just like the friend zone 😆

Waise this reminds me of the way HS got irritated with Mickey for calling him Hanuman Uncle and said ki Uncle main chhori ka hoon, tera nahin 😂

Exactly, Babes ki shaadi.

@bold, exactly! One day I hope they reveal what went through his mind as he watched that CD play.

I wonder if Minnie will also look at the state of this marriage from HS' point of view so she can learn about his perspective as well.

Wahi to!

Better Uncle than sautela, par phir bhi!

He needs one of the chandaal chaukri to explain to him what that is.
