Haha yep. Or maybe Mickey’s real intent was to pull reverse psychology on HS anyways. Who knows 🤷‍♀️😂

It is very special indeed, especially as Minnie has just officially stepped into adulthood. She has so much to learn from her father and her Dadi amma.

I want NB to continue that conversation she had started when she was tying his safa. Yes the father-related baggage is there, but I also think a big part of it has to do with feeling insecure about Ashok, the fact that he could come back to Minnie's life and take his place as her father. Where would that leave HS? We all feel sure this would never happen but HS deep down is afraid of this. And now, he feels even more horrible that Minnie lost her second chance at having a father (which is not true). He will always be leagues ahead of Ashok in terms of what he's done for Minnie, in fact, they can't even be compared, if you ask me.

Now that HS and Minnie have had a taste of what it's like to have a father-daughter bond, I don't think they can ever go back to being their old selves again.

You’re right about this. The look on HS’s face each time Ashok’s name is mentioned in context of Mini shows a lot of vulnerability.

With Babita, he has the official title of husband now no matter what. But with Mini, the fact that Ashok will always have the title of biological father does make HS feel vulnerable that Ashok can come back to try and claim her....to take her away from him. And his real fear is about whether he will have the right to stop Ashok from taking his Veer Balika away....that vulnerability is written all over his face.

@bold, exactly! One day I hope they reveal what went through his mind as he watched that CD play.

I wonder if Minnie will also look at the state of this marriage from HS' point of view so she can learn about his perspective as well.

I would LOVE for this to happen...it would be a big step forward for Mini in terms of trying to see perspectives beyond that of her and her Babes. And a big step forward in making space for HS in her world with Babes....it’s important for that to happen for the larger family unit to fall into place.

And it would also be notable in terms of maturity developing in Mini....her trying to see how the marriage was a second chance for HS too.

I think that's the reason seeing that video being played during the wedding triggered his insecurities. It's my theory, could be something else.

The good thing is that Minnie is 18, so she can choose whether she wants to go live with Ashok or not. It also means HS cannot legally adopt her as he would have adopted a minor.

Whether she remains in his life would be her choice and with the current state of things, he feels she only sees him as her mother's husband, nothing more.... Sigh.

THIS... very important for her to understand the big picture. Also because one day she will also be someone's wife and she needs to see a male perspective as well.

Yes, it would be her choice but the fact that she has said she is ok with him only being her mother’s husband will probably make HS presume that if Ashok came back, she could still choose him coz of the blood relation.

It’s not about logic when you are that vulnerable....you will think of the worst case scenario. He may be thinking she will choose Ashok and he will be powerless to stop her from leaving him if she makes that choice.

Yes it’s important for her to understand marriage from the male perspective as well otherwise all she’s been privy to is the female perspective through her mom and other things she’s observed.

She needs to form a fuller picture of marriage from both perspectives to truly understand what it entails. It will help her work through her mindblocks about marriage and relationships too.

Not "may", I am sure he thinks that and will always be insecure about it unless Minnie explicitly tells him she wants him to be her father. Ashok's return on the show seems inevitable now as it might be the trigger for all of this.

So far he has seen her choose her blood relations no matter what, he has no reason to think she would do otherwise when it came to choosing between Ashok and him. Also, the nonchalant way in which she seemed to say that nothing could change the fact that Ashok was her biological father, and the fact that HS had also failed as her father might make HS think he is now at the same level of failure as a father.

Damn.
