Your line got me thinking again, so Annie if I may add

I just wanted you to listen,

Not to judge me

Not to reciprocate

Not to understand but only listen

How could I not tell you, what you mean to me

I hope I said everything I wanted to tell,

Because, keeping silent was not a choice

Lovely lines, Pooja.

I've always felt that its the small, simple situations that tug at my heart strings than the melodramatic stuff that is so often thrown at us. I dont need for Kunal & Siddhi to shout out ILU to each other & confess amidst tears. I'd be more than happy if the cvs could show us a couple that speak with their eyes & acknowledges their love for each other without the need for words, but there is an entire audience that wants otherwise, so we just go with the flow.

Ok people I have decided to commit to one scene 😉 After numerous more viewings I am going to say scene # 1 - the tub scene. I have several reasons not the least of which is how hot McMahiya was looking in the scene. 😆But the top of the list are his expressions. He started out completely surprised and then slowly started enjoying himself. Instead of getting angry or upset as Kunal normally would, he was having fun spending time with his beautiful wife. The way he was holding her hand, with the fingers entwined ... so different from most of his previous hand holds where he went straight for the wrist. That hand hold is so much more caring and romantic😳 And then the looks he was giving her 😳 Initially he was trying to just get out of the tub but the more they did that, the more they kept falling. Until he reached a point when he sighed and smiled, as if to say "I give up". Then he held Siddhi and looked at her with that smile on his face - in my opinion his first genuine, loving smile to her. The smile that said "Look we are in this together. I tried to do this on my own but I can't. And neither can you." But Siddhi is very conscious so she looks down and away and so he also gets conscious and looks away. They keep trying to support each other. But when Siddhi turns, her hair gets caught in his button and she looks back. He smiles at her again as if to say "I told you so. You can try but seems like we are stuck together." I believe that moment was his first conscious realization of just how desperately he was attached to her - literally and figuratively. It was the first time he acknowledged his feelings even to himself and therefore was a more profound moment for me than his confession to Siddhi. Then she holds his hands to help stabilize him and get her hair out and he just lets her. Siddhi was matching his every expression, his every move. They were helping and supporting each other, a perfect metaphor for their marriage itself. She understood what he was trying to say. But her embarrassment kept holding her back. Still she reciprocated. It was a scene with great chemistry. 👏 And a perfect example of actions saying so much more than words ever can. Which is why I adored it.
😳
The second reason was the background score. If the Cvs are really trying to convey something with that song then its a very important point. The lyrics in the middle go
Tere ishq pe..
Tere waqt pe..
Bas haq hai ik mera
Teri rooh pe tere jism pe
Bas haq hai ik mera
Bas haq hai ik mera
Bas haq hai ik mera

Meaning Only I have a right to your love, your time, your body and your soul. Only I have the right, only I have the right he sings. Does that mean even little brother Anand doesn't have that right anymore?😲 Does that mean Mr Chopra is finally over his guilt?

This is the reason I keep saying Veena's craziness track might be aimed at getting Kunal to acknowledge this right of his in public and admit to loving Siddhi. Admit to the fact that he and Siddhi are man and wife and nothing can change that.

Phew 😆 I'm finally done with this. That scene had been on my mind over the whole of the past week unwilling to let go of its hold on me. I was in danger of going bonkers 😆 It had so much symbolism. 😕 But now I am done trying to decipher it. I wash my hands off it and regain my sanity 😆

Even the dialogues were simple yet just right. He simply talked & she listened. Awww hate Seema for giving bhang to Siddhi. Chalo, never mind, now we have the chance to see it again, in some newer way😕

@Bold I agree with you on that. That's why I think these writers are doing such a good job with scenes, wonder why the CVs can't give them good tracks that can justify their good writing.😡

@BOLD Yeah! Instead they went & watered Veena the vegetable & brought her back to life🤢😆

Annie, the Chaahat song has only been played once yet. Going by the number of times each song has been played earlier, Im thinking we'll get to see this part of Kunal all through the IPL😉

I am with you Yas on this..i have been thinking hard for a FF /OS on same lines..but tres tough !!! But that said, the holi scene was required..that kind of qualifies for silent one 😉
And agree, there is a whole world who wants a confession 😭
But we go with the flow..

Well said Fari, its SINAL's simplicity that stands out for me.Actually I dont want a confession , I want acceptance. The way Kunal says it during Holi was very nice, simple and sweet.I dont want to see a romantic setting , candles or even screaming and this and that.Let it be simply conveyed during one of their nokh jhoks.
Actually I love the scene at Ritcha's place when Kunal holds Siddhi's hand a lot.Ok not disagreeing that the fact it was infact a slap on Ritcha's fact contributed to my liking it , but what stood out for me was the confidence Kunal exhibited. He holds her hand, entwines his fingers and looks at her and she in return looks up at him , mute acceptance in her eyes. That was better than any 'ILU' sequence they could have shown.
I dont think real life couples actually have dramatic 'ILU' sequences in their life, its understood from daily gestures, the eye locks, the stolen smiles , the laughter shared, the silence understood, the tears wiped, the fights and subsequent patch-ups!!!

@Bold So agree with you on this one Chithra. In fact I wrote a OS called an acceptance of love.
@Red I know where you have recently scene candles and screaming 😆 And I don't want that either 😡
@Green Yes yes yes 👏 But yeh dono itne bewakoof hain 😆they atleast need to say something to each other even if its something as simple as "I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

@Purple That is so so true. But normal couples understand na? With these two and the Anand factor and all the divorce confusion someone needs to clear the air once and then all will be well 👏
