Let's me honest
A buser being compared to Shivji
A person who leaves no chance to desrespect his wife is called as Mata Parvati ke Mahadev
A person who don't use brain cells and always ready to commit crime along with his family, who can't see what is wrong or right when his Bhabhima is in picture.
A person who is hypocrite and can't defend his wife rather will insult her in front of everyone and let others do the same.
Oh, I get this
I have been so interested in this trying to read one religious text after another, shiva puraan being my next goal to conquer. I have been interested in retellings, references of "mytho" especially indian mytho in recent media and art, its interpretation and effect on people who consume both the stories of the great lords and their retellings or references
I have asked so many questions about god and their actions, to others and to myself
Two of the questions have stuck with me for a long time
First, is how morally acceptable are the gods to begin with, were they completely correct all the time
like a certain god we all know and worship and his treatment of his wife and the agnee pariksha she had to go through to prove herself to be "pure" when even if she was "impure" to begin with it would be her fault in the first place.
I once took this question to a soul way wiser than i was and the answer i recieved gave me a whole new perspective of this said god
this person said "this god was in his human form, hence making him vulnerable to all these human emotions, flaws and most importantly societal rules. does that mean that the stance was a correct one? as a feminist i could never say yes, but did it make me more understanding or accepting of this said god? ofcourse.
Similarly i am just getting myself familiarized with lord shiva and his stories, but correct me if I am wrong wasnt there a story about mohini and lord shiva having a child and goddess parvati witnessing this all. A version of this story even talked about how lord shiva requested that the next form parvati took would resemble mohini. Lord aiyappa (the supposed love child of shiva and mohini) is worshipped in many places of this country.
So should i if Shiva Pandya ever cheated on Raavi in the future condemn him or compare him to lord shiva?
The second question that, i always take with me is "how does the world view or interpretation of good effect my relationship with them"
I truly believe a person and their relationship to their god and their faith is one of the most scared thing to exist and so very private. Then does this relationship be affected by others?
Should how feel about lord shiva be affected by if a ITV character is compared to it or not? Does law get to have a say in my personal relationship with god? do i get to have a say in people and their relationship or their interpretation of god? Is their interpretation and relationship of god, hate towards my relationship and interpretation of god?
I am human trying to grow learn and understand myself and the world i live in, so hence these are questions I live to find answers to. And I may or may not find them, but thought this was a wonderful open space to pen these thoughts.
I hope I didnt offend you guys and I hope I can here you kind thoughts or answers I am trying to seek.
So much love and thanks for bearing with me 🤗
