Hate speech is when I start degrading someone's religious belief. Which I will never do. And I don't see any of that happen here, it's a harmless parallel that we enjoy reading about, nothing more.

On the contrary, the kind of hate that is dragged from character to actor is hate speech. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You all have just learnt the art of making a mountain of a molehill and continue hating endlessly.

Somethings are just not meant to be thought about so deeply, that you devote every single second of your life to hate and obsess over it.

But alas, some people just can't separate fiction from reality and it shows.

If it bothers people so much, why not just stop watching? It's so much easier that filling yourself up with unrequited hate.... FOR FICTIONAL CHARACTERS LMAO 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unbelievably pathetic how people here can say "oh FL character assassination is writing error" and then in the same breath spew hate for the ML, which is also, SURPRISE, written by the same writer.

🤷🏻‍♀️

The issue with fangirling is in blind love for a character and actor some fans dont look at the bigger picture and praise even the crapiest of craps thrown at them like bread crumbs lol

Its fine to appreciate the actor his strong scenes etc when the character is shown as to growing and evolving in a positive note its worth hyping if they want but please dont cross the line and equate them to something they are not and please dont try to find ways to elevate and praise them when their character is regressing or down right being hypocritical coz that just negates everything and makes people think this character can do no wrong and the writers are not being called out on the creative bankruptcy they are showing.

Look at shiva for the past two weeks for example he basically was angry at his wife then became rude and mean towards her and then he goes and does the same thing she did he accused her of on top he was gaslighting her into taking all the blame when he was equally to blame for their fight. Then we see fangirls praisng his act today because he is so gentle with a baby he is the protector of his family blah blah but he actually is a hypocrite who did the same thing he is so angry with his wife about and has been treating her like crap for on top he might be abetting his bhabhi in a criminal act and if he had told the truth he could have helped his family find out the truth and a solution instead of the impending drama. Some fans might try to equate him to some mythological being who is righteous or whatever but he isnt he has faults and makes mistakes and is hypocritical but that might be too much for some who cant seem to move out of the narrative their fav can do no wrong but were ready with their pitch forks to condemn Raavi for doing something less harmless and not at all malicious coz that wont fit into their version of truth.

Because some people like to enjoy and be happy, and not wallow in hatred all the time?

And also it's fiction not a rule book to abide by, so it's just easy to.....ignore?

Why all Hindu Gods , stories, tales even with physical evidence like Krishna’s Dwarka are termed as Myth? In the sense make believe?

Mythology is Nasty term normalized by Bollywood & itv.

Why not use word Religious stories? Cultural stories? (Neha Sargam , who plays Yashomati said this & I completely agree)

Like how all other religions granths , stories are termed as!

We give up easy! Submit easy ‘jaane do, fiction hai, unka interpretation hai…. ‘And in turn just letting go of identity starts

Many Hindu, Buddhist, jain organizations in US are recently fighting seemingly small but significant battle of claiming back out sacred symbols, decriminalizing it from US penal codes: Swastik!
Many of us don’t use swastik in Diwali at our doorsteps, some avoid using even in Puja. Because it is widely recognized & termed as hate symbol. Even when perpetrators of it used word HakenKruz. They NEVER used Swastik.
how it translated to swastika & became hate symbol is something we all should learn.

Try this on Google:

German to English translation:

Type Haken - comes crooked

Type Kreuz - comes cross

Type HakenKreuz & English translation is Swastik. (!!!!??)

Good amount of organizations are working on this small thing, with good cultural significance. If anyone is interested:
Look up recently released: the silence of Swastika.

Chhoti chhoti baatein hain, but our ‘jaane do’ doesn’t work always!!

Then maybe you should stop giving gyaan to people about stop watching the show, when the simplest solution is for you to actually stop visiting this discussion forum and fill your own head with hatred for us. It's for the best.

A person who don't use brain cells and always ready to commit crime along with his family, who can't see what is wrong or right when his Bhabhima is in picture.

A person who is hypocrite and can't defend his wife rather will insult her in front of everyone and let others do the same.

Oh, I get this

I have been so interested in this trying to read one religious text after another, shiva puraan being my next goal to conquer. I have been interested in retellings, references of "mytho" especially indian mytho in recent media and art, its interpretation and effect on people who consume both the stories of the great lords and their retellings or references

I have asked so many questions about god and their actions, to others and to myself

Two of the questions have stuck with me for a long time

First, is how morally acceptable are the gods to begin with, were they completely correct all the time

like a certain god we all know and worship and his treatment of his wife and the agnee pariksha she had to go through to prove herself to be "pure" when even if she was "impure" to begin with it would be her fault in the first place.

I once took this question to a soul way wiser than i was and the answer i recieved gave me a whole new perspective of this said god

this person said "this god was in his human form, hence making him vulnerable to all these human emotions, flaws and most importantly societal rules. does that mean that the stance was a correct one? as a feminist i could never say yes, but did it make me more understanding or accepting of this said god? ofcourse.

Similarly i am just getting myself familiarized with lord shiva and his stories, but correct me if I am wrong wasnt there a story about mohini and lord shiva having a child and goddess parvati witnessing this all. A version of this story even talked about how lord shiva requested that the next form parvati took would resemble mohini. Lord aiyappa (the supposed love child of shiva and mohini) is worshipped in many places of this country.

So should i if Shiva Pandya ever cheated on Raavi in the future condemn him or compare him to lord shiva?

The second question that, i always take with me is "how does the world view or interpretation of good effect my relationship with them"

I truly believe a person and their relationship to their god and their faith is one of the most scared thing to exist and so very private. Then does this relationship be affected by others?

Should how feel about lord shiva be affected by if a ITV character is compared to it or not? Does law get to have a say in my personal relationship with god? do i get to have a say in people and their relationship or their interpretation of god? Is their interpretation and relationship of god, hate towards my relationship and interpretation of god?

I am human trying to grow learn and understand myself and the world i live in, so hence these are questions I live to find answers to. And I may or may not find them, but thought this was a wonderful open space to pen these thoughts.

I hope I didnt offend you guys and I hope I can here you kind thoughts or answers I am trying to seek.

So much love and thanks for bearing with me 🤗
