I watch only the original which is the tamil version, so my posts are based on that version only.

Tamil version has no OTT characters including Rishita😃

Yes.Shiva is also not so angry in south versions.He did'nt even touch Raavi until he melted b4 her.But here he is pulling her n touching her harshly.

But Dhara's character in the OG is mostly inclusive, she is dominating too but not to the extent we see here and she never raised her hand on any of the brothers. There was no physical violence except for few slaps mostly Krish's character would get from his older brothers. I cannot relate to this Dhara or MIL, prefer the OG

Pandya family is funny. No one says a word against Dhara and she doesn't say a word against Suman, no matter how wrong these two are. No wonder Suman called Dhara saas and herself mahasaas. Both are behaving that way. The rest of the family don't seem to have any agency of their own. All of them are planets revolving around Dhara and she herself revolves around Suman. That is actually killing the essence of the show.

That’s exactly what I didn’t understand initially, why make so many changes to Dhara’s character including resorting to physical abuse. Then I realized, this is a Hindi serial which thrives on OTT drama compared to tamizh, which is more realistic.

Story in this version told from Dhara’s POV and not as a family story. So whatever Dhara does will be justified and to create more drama they made changes to Saas character again to please the TRP auduence.

Krish and Raavi are the only ones that have been untouched from the OG, rest all characters have been modified. I cannot relate to Dev here but like Jeeva a lot in the OG.

I started watching the thamizh version 2 1/2 years ago for Mullai and KM and now watching this version for Raavi and ShiVi

there was a separate thread for this..you can put in ypur queroes there..most of them are people who watch tamil version.

Yes they have made a lot of changes for unnecessary OTT drama. One thing is changing most of the character sketches, then adding Anita in GauRa's married life and the worst part is the physical violence. I didn't watch the show before leap but saw some clips of Suman also physically hurting Dhara. That itself was a huge turn off for me. I only started watching again for ShiVi.

They should have stuck to original version with some changes to appeal to hindi audience. That would have fared much better and the audience would have also got a refreshing family drama. Instead they turned it into a typical ITV drama with cruel saas, bechari bahu/bhabhi and unwanted MUs.

Agree!

I can’t relate to Dhara, Gautam, Suman, Dev, Rishita.

The only common thing between Shiva and Kathir are that both love their family immensely, will do anything for the, else one is an angry young man, the other Kathir is shy laden with lot if insecurities (which is now getting better with Mullai’s support)

Anita’s, 3rd angle between GauRa is unnecessary. We have Kasturi there who is already married to Dhanam’s brother. They started that track here with Anita-Hardik but left it due to location change/lockdown.

Also Meena was not this obnoxious as Rishita. Meena was still rude but never disrespectful. Since Jeeva’s character is a very well written one, unlike Dev here, I could tolerate Meena and now I like her as well.

Again reiterating that only Raavi and Krish are untouched. Atleast I want the makers of this version to keep them the same and not change their characters as well.

As I mentioned earlier this version from Dhara’s POV, so major story will only revolve around her and the OTT drama of saas-bahu crap😕

1) paralysed mother vs Tamil version mother

2) dhanam vs Dhara

3) jeeva vs dev

?
