If there are any viewers of the original Tamil Show Pandian Stores, or any regional remake, can you please tell me that do they also have this Maami-Anita duo? And is Anita also trying to go after a married Gaumbi?

I personally don’t like this unwanted twist of Anita trying to take the place of Dhara.

No, Anita’s character never went after Gaumbi. She was already married to Hardik, Dhara’s brother. She is the gossip queen, but has bitter tongue especially towards Dhara. But never tried to separate anybody. She was also mean to Shiva’s character, would constantly criticize his unkempt ways snd dressing but it has gotten better now. She also likes Raavi’s character much more than Dhara as they are cousins.

Mami exists as well but she is Raavi’s mother in the version. She was mean just like Anita in the original but never evil. She didn’t like that her daughter was emotionally manipulated by Dhara’s character and her husband to marry Shiva. Buy almost after 2 years she has warmed up to Shiva and he takes good care of her as well😃

The only person evil in the original is Janardhan, Rishita’s Dad. Most of the other characters are grey and Raavi’s character is the best of them all. Even Rishita’s character started out grey but she has come a long way since and has now gelled with the family very well and helps them against her Dad. I like her character now compared when she started out😃

This show has either grey characters or villains/vamps/evil characters excepting Raavi😕

Are shiva and Ravi first cousins in the original show??

Does that happen in Hindu religion as well??

Yes they're first cousins. Marriage of cousins has beem common in South India among Hindus, and among some communities of Muslims as well

Thanks for replying. I think they are just trying to add this Anita twist as a gimmick to attract TRPs, as now this trend of a woman trying to snatch another woman’s husband is quite prevalent among Hindi serials. Hope everything is sorted and the beauty and simplicity of the show is preserved.

I do not like it at all. Why can’t we have stories without a 3rd person entering a marriage😕
That way I like the original version as it is more realistic.

And here Suman is being like a typical stereotypical MIL who keeps harassing her DIL and doesn’t appreciate or acknowledge anything that the DIL does.

Dhara is also not like in the OG. Here Dhara has full control, hides things from her MIL, makes most of the decisions on her, sometimes without consulting Gautam also.

But Dhara's character in the OG is mostly inclusive, she is dominating too but not to the extent we see here and she never raised her hand on any of the brothers. There was no physical violence except for few slaps mostly Krish's character would get from his older brothers. I cannot relate to this Dhara or MIL, prefer the OG

Telugu version characters are all mellowed down in the display of emotions except for rishitha and her dad, so you can imagine very less drama than what is happening here. In hindi version, they're hugging at every little chance and yaadon ka baarat song keeps playing in the BG but in the south versions it's a bit realistic, like even if we love our family a lot we don't show it physically by hugging them. Dev's character too is more vocal and reprimands his wife from disrespecting his family.
