He did KA bcz of Ahmed sahab's writing..he signed up knowing that its a multi track drama..he said this to Rabia in IV. May be he did not know that in later parts Shehreyar's role will be given more preference.

Bilal has stated in quite a few IVs that the script, story matters to him the most and he should be able to connect with it...if he is not then even if script/story is good he would say no to it...So KA's writing is the main thing which made him do it.

Also at that point he had TMK also in his hand... and I guess IM was also decided by then...

So in total he had 3 projects in his hands..but unfortunately things did not work out the way he wanted...

Ya.. i think he wasn't aware his character will be sidelined to that level in the second half. Ahmed sir and Nadeem baig said he was still writing the drama while the shoot was going on so bilal clearly didn't had full idea of how his character was going to be and both Ahmed sir and the lady behind kasf foundation said nadeem baig made a lot of changes and he was the last one to enter the team. This was a kasf foundation drama and this is the first time I am seeing a drama by them having it's female lead getting sidelined for a rich guy character. Asfar and his family don't fit into the entire women empowerment thing or the overall concept of the drama.

Yes, that part was not handled well. Already most men keep on saying that all women run after rich men/men with stable career, high position & instead of changing this type of mentality, such problematic plot creates more trouble for career oriented women who already get to hear such taunts on a daily basis.

Aaliya clearly wasn't keeping asfar as an option and she only had salman in mind but the execution was so bad. Even in the last episode they didn't feel the need to show a proper conversation between salman and Aaliya even though they had more than enough time for it as the episode was only 30mins long. The last two episodes were all about asfar and I still don't know the significance of his character in a kasf foundation drama. Look at udaari or dnutn. Udaari had one of the best male lead if not the best male lead in pak dramas and still they never showed him more or gave more importance to the love story at the expense of any of the female characters or their screentime. The drama showed the journey of 4 women so perfectly. In KA they wrapped up the story of every other female character so perfectly except the female lead.

I knew they would rush and wouldn't give proper closure to aliya-salman.so wasn't expecting much..

But anyways, after all these flaws KA was a treat to watch.

I still love that drama for the moments it had and the acting and dialogues but i will never forget the way they used bilal and sajal as clickbait. smiley36

Talking about female friendships I have noticed pak dramas rarely show good female friendship. Either one friend backstabs the other and ends up being enemies or their friendship is just forgotten as the drama goes on. In mere Humsafar hala had a good friend who knew hala wasn't lying and also didn't help shahjahan in her evil planning and plotting but still they never reconciled. In Zgh kasaf had a friend who stood by her side even when kasaf never showed any genuineness in that friendship and she also went Mia after the leap. Pak dramas barely show women supporting women. I can only think of udaari were Bushra and samiya's character reconciled as friends after a misunderstanding and helped each other
