I don’t know the full story but his father was shot in 2011 for being against blasphemy laws. He was kidnapped by militants soon after. I guess that’s all connected . Don’t know why they kept him alive for five years but he recently released a book about his time while captive .

The ex wife accused them of having an affair in 2020. They got married in September 2021 and already have a son born in 2022. This is their second son. He also has a daughter with his first wife .
