I agree, if it was MR, why would Meerab ever forgive him?! She did not forgive her parents till the end.

Why would she be okay with such a big thing and come back, or name her daughter Meesam, or remember him fondly when she was away?

If it was not MR, then why only one sided forgiveness from MK?

Was it because contract was the one thing she was holding on to and he was respecting her wish and even though, it was consensual, the fact that breaking of contract this way left her feel defenseless and compelled her to leave, hence MK was apologizing and asking her to not leave him again?

Or it could be that he was just blindly accepting the blame that Meerab has always accused him of, her blanket statements of him ruining her life, him being the reason for her forced marriage and change of equation with her parents, so maybe he was apologizing for all that, even though we know that he was not at fault for that.

But then, if not MR, why no apology from her side, she didn't have anything to apologize to him for? She never admitted her mistakes, but isn't she supposed to be a changed person now? Where is the growth in her character?

Both the scenarios do not add up for us to say anything with certainty of what happened that night.

Until yesterday I thought MR was a hook to create MR/no MR suspense which they will reveal in the final episode through a FB or conversation.

But watching the episode today, esp. Merub and MK actions/reactions - I found myself getting confused. On one hand, it seemed possible that MR actually happened but there are also counter-arguments.

I would like to hear if others have any thoughts or became confused like I did.

Merub's action/reaction

Merub showed no guilt, remorse, shame for having disappeared for 2 years and hiding the baby from her birth father. She made no apologies nor was she asked to make any apologies. Her attitude towards MK - the stony expression when he asks her to sit next to him. Her laying down conditions for staying with MK.

For MR: It all seemed like someone who had a reason to be angry and who feel justified in their stand-offish attitude.

Against MR: Merub was always the type who did not admit her mistakes - nor was she shown to be particularly repentant about not informing friends and family for 2 years about her well-being at least. Also, if it was MR, why name your daughter Meesam? What of those spoken dialogs (not voice overs) in previous episodes about inflicting this saza on herself or her praise for MK or her longing? Merub was also shown as someone who never really forgave Wakas and Anila for that one time they did not open their door, despite their repeated attempts at reconciliation or their support for her later. Then how can she forgive MK?

Murtasim's action/reaction

MK cried and knelt on his knees for `maafi'. It wasn't once. He said it multiple times that he is sorry and to forgive him. He was begging Merub to sit next to him to talk. He said he has changed - he does not get angry nor does he have the `zid' and `akad' anymore, and that he is willing to do anything Merub wants him to if only she does not leave him.

For MR: These are the kind of things one would say or do if they have guilt, shame, if they feel they have committed a serious offense. For Merub ran off after consensual sex, for what mistake he wants forgiveness. What sin is he atoning for?

Against MR:

Either MK is so broken - like children in dysfunctional homes who feel that if they are on their best behavior, their parents will not divorce - that he would do anything for Merub not to leave him. Or they are insinuating he has reached the seventh stage of ishk where he has completely annihilated his self, his ego and only being with Merub matters. This seventh stage of ishk is also called maut (Death). In the final stage of love, the self identity is completely lost. Here the existence of lover depends on the existence of beloved. There is no turnaround. The final end of a love story either from both the lover or the boy as he believe he can’t exist without her.

Yeah… I believe in equal relationships. I’ve always been turned off by relationships that are more one sided in general, even if the woman is the big boss in it. Like you said, it’s not great in the long run and there can be expressed or underlying resentment down the line. Even Yumna said she wanted a tough guy because she is tough herself and doesn’t want to over power the guy! Also I didn’t like the I’ve completely changed myself for you thingy. Suddenly Saad came out of nowhere 😂 I knew it. I knewww Wahaj would let him out at some point!!!

I really didn't see the need for Murtasim to say those dialogues that.. after you left I realized, tum mera sab kuch ho, tum se sab hai, Tere Bin main kuch nahin, kuch bhi nahini!

Like what's new!? She and us have heard this 100 times already since they got married and she has never believed him even when he cried buckets and poured his heart out telling her mujhe sambhal lena.

Chalo, we assume this time she did, but then, how Meerab felt without him / Tere Bin?

Wasn't it Meerab who was always ziddi/stubborn and he had to tiptoe around her?!

He said he would become however she wants him to be, do whatever she wants him to do, he would change himself as per her commands... hasn't he been changing ever since they got married, hasn't he gone out of his way to please her, however reluctantly, hasn't he done things out of his comfort zone and beliefs just so that she remains happy even while there was zero appreciation from her side!

He still has to change? How? What for?

And she doesn't need to?

Marriage was forced on both of them, but he chose to give his all to make this relationship work while she being unhappy with the marriage neither left him nor gave him even basic respect as a fellow human, mistreated him every step of the way. They both were at fault for not having any trust on each other but it was her decision to leave and hide from him and the pregnancy and his kid from him...

He is the only one who has been saying sorry to her since the beginning, she, not once, has properly apologized to him even for things she was clearly at fault!

Today too, she was put on a pedestal while he apologized, that too on his knees with folded hands begging for forgiveness - what exactly was he apologizing for though????

Ok.. but then why did she not have to say sorry? She had nothing to apologize to him for?

Why this one sidedness?

This one partner bending over backwards to keep the relationship going while the other one dictates the rules may make certain section of the society happy, especially since its the female being the boss lady and husband is a meek subordinate but that's now how a relationship works or lasts. Balance is the key to every relationship, romantic or otherwise.

Here, Meerab and Murtasim were hardly equal partners, unfortunately he still remained her puppet.

Seriously, this whole Haya-Murtasim fiasco is so bizarre, I cannot make any head or tail of it. So all the dialogues related to and around it didn't make sense to me either.

Haya was not even that important in MM lovestory, cause without her also they had so many issues of their own to resolve so why suddenly so much focus was given to her is beyond me.

The whole question-answer of the day Meerab left was so poorly done and Murtasim looked like a fool when he told Haya that he believed her that day (and volunteered to marry her) but she needed to tell the truth today.

Also, no idea why they had a close up of her expressionless face for nearly 2 minutes today to conclude her lovestory. That precious time could have been given to Waqas-Meerab closure, but oh well!

Both Wahaj and Yumna were par excellence today!!

Yumna's expressions when Haya was accusing her and Murtasim was silent were the best!

Wahaj's eyes, softness of his voice, his interaction with Meesam, his body language everything... superlative! I cried in a few scenes, without even realizing!

NM baji has never closed loops as she has never concluded anything.., she has an uphill task in learning storytelling along with character development while writing full time actual scripts.. she needs to forget Roman/ Greek and all the other symbolism and focus on story… She has created great scenes ( they are heavily inspired by IPKKND - season 1) there was improvisations that she did on the original… she failed in moving the script without H or MZ…

NM baji wrote this entire saga from MK’s POV therefore we don’t see ME’s journey or her dialogues., we saw more of H as she was near MK…

Mk was placed on pedestal and NM baji herself fell in love with her ML.. it was shown on how she wants him to care for or adore/ admire FL..

Her arrogance and power tactic was in full view when she effectively destroyed ML in one swoop in EPI 46:47… was that needed …absolutely no … when you want the entire world to know I can maketh and breaketh and how to destroy a beautiful character…

Will we miss MK and ME absolutely .. the versions we had till Epi 20 and after that was NM baji lost focus..MK and ME were so lovingly portrayed in the first 20 episodes that fans took all the Bs that was served, ignored the loopholes and guess what made edits to fill up the gaps and imagination… Yumhaj did this … go ahead and make S2 and try with another lead and see it crash.. don’t make the S2 with MM .. they are done and over … they have been destroyed but given a loving farewell by a heartbroken fan luv why??? God knows why❤️❤️❤️

I do want Geo to grow up and acknowledge all the writers as this was not NM baji which I doubt they will ever do …

I am glad they showed Meerab getting some justice/closure at the end by going to law school, though can't say the same about Murtasim!

Kind hearted man, who loved his wife dearly, changed himself and his ideas for her, but got played by all the ladies in his life and still ended up being the one to take the blame for everything! Where is the justice for him?

Writer did him dirty from ep 47 till the end! This MR/No MR is still looming large. And then marriage with Haya with no plan in mind!

She did the same with Meerab but saved her at the end, but sacrificed Murtasim.

I too am allergic to such dialogues of completely changing myself for you 😵

What happened to the definition of true love where you love the person for who they are and not try to change them!

I am so happy finally TB has come to an end...... I still can't believe nooran wrote this ending for a month, and humne toh itne twist bhi soch liye the😆MK ka plan, nikkah will be done,what not.... Pages pe pages bhar diye🤣

If we take yesterday's episode as an end we will be dissapointed isi liye just look at it as just another episode where we got two three good scenes uske peeche ka reason bhool jao warna we will have never ending questions.

As for meerab, we were all expecting a confession but I guess she did say she loves him in her own way.... Haan if she would have said what she confessed to saba to weightage different hota❤️

Tbh i was expecting only end ke two three mins of memu but i am really happy they showed murtasim and meesam scenes which were the show stealer.

Special mention to meesam/umaiza she was damn cutuuuu!❤️

And the last memu convo..... I would say don't dissect it and just watch for wahaj and yumna's performance, they were brilliant.

Finally S2 is announced idk who the writer or ditector will be but i hope this time they come up with a good story and do not stretch it unnecessarily too!!

Even i was taken aback by Murtasim n Meerub's interaction. Let alone loopholes n no closure on MB, no word on Maryam, no reaction on Waqas , nothing related to MZ, I was more curious for conversation or show down b/w Meerub n Murtasim.

When Murtasim said "Itna hii Kaffi nahi ki Meerub wapas aa gayi hai" I was confused.

If we go by fact that MR happened, then Meerub shouldn't forgive Murtasim that easily and worse when he was marrying that Behaya.

If there was no MR n everything was consensual , then Why Murtasim didn't question Meerub why she left n why no contact for last 2 crucial years as their daughter was born. Suspecting Haya n Murtasim affair wasn't such strong reason that she should have left everyone including her family punishing them all.

And given this bizarre situation , why on earth Murtasim agree to marry Behaya when nobody pressurized him, What kind of baloney was that? Why Meerub was shown NOT questioning Murtasim abt this. Were they so swayed by their union that they forgot everything that lead them to separate? Would that hit both them later lol That's not realistic

Either way , in this scenario , Murtasim n Meerub's conversation should have been highlight of last episode. For season 2 , they could have left all other loopholes hanging. But I am sure disappointed the way it ended. If they want to continue this story from here , how would that unfold?Meerub n murtasim has no hanging issues, it is more of closure from their side but for audience nothing is addressed. Even if they thought of addressing this in season 2 how so? They could have just not shown this happy ending then n taken story forward , but God knows what is writer n team smoking.... It was indeed disheartening n i disliked how very fire that made both Meerub n Murtasim (like us - audience) for their strong opinions just vanish illogically.😕
