kekeke.... I am always amused that I only have such deep conversations on bakwas dramas or stuff like this one. these so called arty dramas or movies -- my brain just electrocutes to no reaction. 🤣🤣

And that is where Naima is losing it. She was secure with Zunaisha despite her bad behaviour and even with Ushna as she knew the kind of person Shehroz is , he wont fall in love with any girl esp Ushna after seeing his behaviour with her. Unexpectedly Shehroz fell in love with Ushna and her hidden insecurities started to become visible in her actions.

so here are some of my thoughts:

1. I read this somewhere but I can't remember all the details. so please excuse if I get stuff wrong. from what I understood, the number of working women in PK is less in comparison to other countries. especially after marriage, many do not continue to work. this means the bulk of the audience watching these dramas are at home. so they would have antagonistic attitude towards women who are able to have the freedom to go out and be independent. a sort of indirect jealousy.

2. if you are earning your own money, then you are also going to be inclined to be making your own decisions. part of that is pratical -- think about it. if there is an issue at work or if you have to figure out your transport to get there, you are not going to be able to rely on your family or ask for help. once you start thinking for yourself, you are bound to have opinions. you will express them. therefore, it is seen as negative -- these women have thoughts and opinions that contradict the mother-in-law. these women also have thoughts that challenge the men. these women are also capable of surviving on their own and need men emtionally but not necessarily financially. therefore, the lack of dependence makes them less sanskari and "bad"

This is an excellent take - thank you for shedding the light. Again I look at it from my western mindset.

The opposites are so stark isn’t? Here if you don’t work that means you need help and support. Girl or guy they are supposed to be independent. So it’s interesting that other side of the coin is majority don’t work and are housewives.

So it all comes back to the patriarchal society where rules are men made and women basically just says okay and those who do question it gets labeled as bad or unworthy?

bigger question -- will we see ushna go back to college to finish her exams? at least for romeo's sake, I want her to go back to college so that she run into him and see what happens.. 😂

Shehroze's lack of attention towards zunisha comes from his entitled arrogant behaviour. He never cared about anything apart from his mother and himself before ushna. He thinks he is above everyone just like his mother. He literally thought zunisha needs to bare all simply because she is the one who loves him. He used the fact that she has feelings for his to the fullest and he even tried to use that when Naima was planning on getting wahab married. He though since zunisha loves him she will come running back to him if he apologise.

The only advantage Ushna has is he is in love with her and he is somewhat obsessed with her as well. So no matter how unhealthy his love for his mother is, she will have some kind of emotional hold on him as well. Even if they fight and they have a separation he will never divorce her and won't think of getting another girl into his life. That will be his only redemption quality if he ends up being a puppet to his mother.

Naima's calculations went wrong because she thought shehroze agreed to marry ushna solely because she told him to. She was unaware about the fact that her son has been always attracted to her and some part of him wanted ushna. Then she thought her son started caring for ushna because she told him to but he did because he wanted to. Basically shehroze did whatever he wanted to do by the name of Naima and Naima thought he was doing everything because of her. That's why she was shocked at how rebellious shehroze became when she told him to leave ushna. She literally though it would be a cake walk to throw out ushna from his life.
