It is always good to know about different cultures. 😊 this helps in understanding and accepting the differences between ppl. Coming from a country which has one religion and one culture I couldn't understand how can ppl who live in countries with different cultures deal with the differences between them.🤓 Now I knew that with good understanding nothing is impossible.

Oh the rule applies only to certain villages, so the rest still have love marriages there don't worry 😆

@bold: awareness is extremely important. I have friends from all faiths, and being around each other, discussing festivities, even asking any doubts to each other helps in immense understanding. Also its interesting to read whenever I am free. 😊

InshaAllah will make a new thread when the discussion here ends. 😳

These are all man made rules...what is the purpose of such a marriage where the husband and life are living in two different countries and dont even see each other?

These situations mostly occur when either the person can’t get a job in their home country and need to go to a foreign country to make a living. The other case is when person goes abroad to make sure his family can live a more comfortable life. A lot of these countries have laws regarding calling the family. It is tough on the kids especially, not having a father in the house most of the time.

I bet majority of them don't do it out of choice. Most people choose that route in order to get a good job or good money. They will slog alone in a foreign country and send money back home for family to have good life.

I think what she meant when she said 'womam being alone' is a unmarried, divorced or widowed woman.. Basically woh aurat jiske sir pe namesake bhi kisi mard ka haath na ho. *cringes and rolls eyes*

Not all cousin marriages lead to deformities or abnormalities. But if there is genetic problem in a one person of the family, with every subsequent generation of cousin marriages, the probability of amplifying and passing on the genetic irregularity keeps increasing.

Someone posted that Adoptions are not allowed in Islam.. Is that true????? 😳

Doesn't make sense. For a religion that preaches a man to keep multiple wives as a way to support a widowed woman, why would it not let adoption of orphan kids? Hmmm.. 🤔

A month and a half ago mera Nikkah howa tha. My husband is also out of the country. He is not a doctor but a dentist and he has some responsibilities as a dentist. He did not want to return to Qatar, but the hospital administration forced him to return. My mother-in-law was ill and I wanted to go to Qatar with my husband for a few months. But for some reason I could not go to Qatar with my husband. We both are in different countries.

My husband is also out of the country because of his work. I'm glad I'm still in Turkey with my family. I can't speak Arabic well so I am learning Arabic through mobile app. Before our engagement, my cousin was like my brother to me, and now after the engagement and Nikkah he is my husband."What is destined will reach you,Even if it be beneath two mountains😃

Not just the kids but it affects the couple the most. I feel they drift apart and get used to living without each other.

There are many men who would be earning enough to support their family but would still jump at the chance of getting visa to go abroad alone even if the new job pays less lol. My cousin had the opportunity to go abroad but refused because he didnt want to leave his family. I feel if youre going for a few months and then planning to call your family there when you get settled then that is fine but not if you are planning to stay there for years and keep your partner back in Pakistan just sending money to them and visitng them once a year or so that is wrong.

My friends sister in law had a love marriage, she sold all her jewelry to send her husband abroad so he could get a decent job there and support their kids. What did he do in return? He went to Africa and did a second marriage 3 months later and forgot all about his first wife and kids.
