I was watching a show on Prime TV, "Mera Naam hai Muhabbat --- Hassratian". The story is of a 17 year old who's childhood was snatched from her, because some gali keh ghundas were after her. She was forced to leave her love and get married to 50 year old guy, He too was under pressure by her two evil sisters, who wanted a fairy for their brother, because his first wife was not that pretty and didn't had any kids. So now they want a YOUNG GIRL who can take care of the home, and bring some life to the home.

My question is:

When will the society stop deciding for our lives??

Till when we have to live according to the society? Why are 17 year old girls forced to marry 40-50 year old men? Why don't people think that every girl and a boy have feelings and dreams and have every right to live their lives according to themselves?

They can have arranged marriages but at least not forced marriages.

Why are people turning so selfish? Why do they want to see their plans work all the time?

If you want to see this show tune into Prime TV at 9:30pm every Wednesday, Today was just its second episode.

Hope this is not a pointless and weird discussion.

Take care.

Never... I think it's about time we wake up and make a few decisions of our own... Just becasue we always think about what society would say if we did this or did that, we let go of many opportunitites that might be beneficial for us as a person... No doubt, society palys an important role in one's life but it's time we realize that as an individual we have every right to make our very own decisions...

Till when we have to live according to the society? Why are 17 year old girls forced to marry 40-50 year old men? Why don't people think that every girl and a boy have feelings and dreams and have every right to live their lives according to themselves?

I would say that this kind of mentality is a result of lack of education... If the caretakers of the girl are educated and have a broad mind, there is no way they are going to let such a thing happen... I an a strong supporter of arranged marriage but the match shoudl be reasonable...

Why are people turning so selfish? Why do they want to see their plans work all the time?

Again, lack of education I would say... Why don't we see such things happening to girls who come from a well educated family.... What I don't understand is how a 50 year old man cannot make decision for himself and instead has to rely on his sisters to decide on his behalf...

Don't have PTV Prime 😭

Hope this is not a pointless and weird discussion.

Not at all... In fact, this is a very important and sensitive issue (unlike the zarda issue 😉.... just kidding)...

Take care.

gud reply maha appi

yea eduacation plays a key role in such situations...we dont see this happening in cities or among well educated familis...in the show, rizwana's dad died a long time ago and her widowed mother reaised her and her younger sister without a man's support and the 3 women deal with poverty everyday...the mom works hard to make ends meet so she can provide her 2 daughters with a roof over their head and food. they cannot afford an education so the girls just sit home and help their mom with the household chores. because of the neighborhood gundas who make like hell for Rizwana her mom doesnt let her out.
frm wat i saw this looked like a village setting and i think tht bcuz ppl in villages dont have enuff opportunites and they r deprived of a gud education and the ppl r ignorant...so this is common there

uffffffff............im sooooooooooo sick of this xample🤢

sorry nuttin against u ....but every1 uses tht against da prophet

Yea..religiously derz nuttin against it...but luk @ everything...he also married a widow hu was 15 years older thn him....u think men nowadaiiz will do tht?.....and da old men get married 2 da young grlz cuz da young grlz r young and pretty and still in der youth and have der innocence and childhood with thm and da man jus finds a 17 yr old prettier thn a 35 yr old (even if hez 50 himself).....in hazrat Muhammad's case, Allah told him 2 marry hazrat Ayesha. and she was NOT 9 she was 12 or 13. There was no "physical" benefit 2 him by doing so...he did it cuz it was Allah's order. Lil kids r more observant so they observe more....she picked up on his life style and how he did everything and tld ppl abt it after he died. Since she was young, she lived long after he died so she was able 2 spread his msg 2 da ppl l8er on in fact, she narrated da most hadiths.

Plz Plz dun use Prophet Muhammad's xamples 2 compare 2 other ppl cuz v rnt wat he was and all of us put 2gether cant b as gud as him and his motives cannot b reciprocated

When will the society stop deciding for our lives??This is a very good question for each and every individual to think abt, akhir kab tak, I completely agree with Javeria, its up to us to take that step, we can't be ascared, nowadays this happens alot, where parents, especially those of daughters, have to give their daughter up because of society, if they just give in, it isn't any use, they have to take a step, and go against, Society cant just rule our lives.

Till when we have to live according to the society?Hmm, jab tak we don't take a stand, Society cant rule our lives, akhir they are just society, if we don't do anything, it just shows we are weak, and powerless against society. What the people don't kno, it is only making matters more worst, and you are allowing them to have all the power.

Why are 17 year old girls forced to marry 40-50 year old men? I don't kno, in all this is strange and then you don't end up with a long lasting relationgship, and every girl desires a partner who can have all her life, not someone, who is older, I mean, you are marrying that guy who is older without thinking of your future. If this happens, your future is gone.

Why don't people think that every girl and a boy have feelings and dreams and have every right to live their lives according to themselves? Yeh mujhe bhi nahi samajh aata hai, if this happens, no one gets anywhere, matters get worse, guy is older and ladki is young, ladki's life is over, and as for guy, he wont get that love he needs. Society can't decide for us, and choose our life partners, this isn't fair at all.

They can have arranged marriages but at least not forced marriages.

Yup, arrange marriages are way better than forced, forced marriages usually turn out disasterous, in the world people will have to put themselves in the daughter/son shoes and think from their viewpoint not from society, again u r letting the society rule you without knowing.

Why are people turning so selfish? Some people are just like that, you cant control how they behave, lekin u can change theri behavior for standing up, selfishness wont get you anywhere in life, you will remain there all your lives. They aren't seeing, it is not goin to do any good.

Why do they want to see their plans work all the time? Pata nahi, as I said before, until we don't do anything, and take a step, these plans will suceed infront of our very own eyes.

Saba Apa, this isn't a pointless dicussion, infact it's a good one for us to think abt, for anyone to think about, of course society isnt all that bad, but they don't realize they are just hurting us, and themselves. Nice think to think about.😊
