CHAPTER 26

kailash had already ordered deepa's favourite dishes beforehand already. butter chicken, mutton briyani, fish fry, lady's finger pachadi & aloo gobi. deepa was pleasantly surprised & enjoyed her meal very much. she thanked kailash profusely & even ordered shared her biryani with him. "here's a big spoonful for treating me to this nice meal." deepa fed kailash the biryani. he gobbled it down & cheekily asked for more. but deepa didn't feed him but instead gave him some on a glass plate. she laughed at kailash's disappointed face but didn't give in. kailash was enjoying this entire flirting game & was sure that now deepa had fallen for him as well. after the filling meal, kailash suggested that they take a walk at the beach but deepa wanted to watch a movie. so they decided to settle it the 'manly' way.

"I'll arm wrestle you. if I win, we watch the movie. if not, I'll walk down the beach with you." deepa remarked cheekily. kailash laughed outright at her silly suggestion but decided to play along. he let her win of course. she was too gentle to arm wrestle & she knew it & even kailash knew it. she jumped up & down with happiness as she won the game. "so what movie are we watching?" kailash asked deepa. "let's go to the beach. I know you let me win because you think I am too gentle to arm wrestle. since you're so nice, I will go to the beach with you." she said & kissed him lightly on the cheek. he just stood frozen for a moment. deepa had just kissed kailash. the kiss was finally his. as that realisation dawned on him, kailash broke into a huge grin. deepa had kissed him. she had actually kissed him. kailash didn't know if anything else could make him happier.

they had a great time at the beach & enjoyed the cool breeze. kailash tried building a sandcastle for deepa but to no avail. she laughed at him cutely & told him not to waste his time. refusing to give up, kailash finally built a sandcastle for deepa. it was a little sloppy but cute. all of a sudden the sky opened up & rain poured in torrents. kailash & deepa ducked into a quiet little corner. they had both gotten really wet & deepa was shivering in the cold. kailash being the gentleman he was took off his jacket & put it around deepa. but she still didn't stop shivering. he then moved closer & held her close to him, trying his best to warm her up. deepa responded by snuggling up to him & resting in his arms. kailash slowly lifted her chin up & drew closer to kiss her. he couldn't stop himself in such a romantic situation. "no kailash. not now. it's getting late. let's go." she replied & pulled away from him. kailash just sighed dejectedly & walked in the rain to the car together with deepa.

i know. i know that i am keeping deepa apart from kailash but my next chapter will surely be very romantic.😉 lols! anyways, comments & suggestions are welcome!

lols! yeah, i always keep them in mind when i think of these scenes.😉 i like to imagine them in my scenes then only i write out my story. hehe!😆😆😆

CHAPTER 27

the drive back home was loaded with silence. kailash & deepa were lost in their individual thoughts. kailash was a little annoyed at deepa. he knew she loved him, he could see it in her eyes. but yet everytime he tried to come close to her, she pushed him away. kailash didn't understand why did deepa have to create that distance between both of them. it hurt him to be so near yet so apart from deepa. sometimes he just felt like pulling her to him & kissing her forever. he wished, oh how he wished that deepa would bridge the gap between them soon. deepa on the other hand, was very sad. she loved kailash. she felt that kailash also knew about her attraction to him. it was not that deepa was preventing him from getting close to her purposely. she had her own reservations. after all, she still felt something for ajay. it was a small feeling but she didn't want to hurt kailash. "I am sorry kailash. I have to stay away from you till I get my thoughts sorted out. but this distance is hurting me more than it's hurting you." she thought sadly to herself.

"we have reached your house already." kailash told deepa coldly. he seemed angry with her. deepa thanked him in a low voice & tried to unlock the car door but it was stuck. no matter how much she tried she just couldn't unlock the door. "kailash? I'm sorry but can you please help me? the lock seems to be stuck." she requested politely. kailash grudgingly moved over to help. he reached across deepa & fiddled with the lock for a few minutes. after a while, the lock sprung open with a soft click. deepa turned to thank kailash & knocked into him headfirst as he had not moved back to his seat yet. they both started to apologise at the same time but realised how close they were. kailash was leaning against deepa, his face just centimetres away from hers. their gazes met & everything just stood still. the tension in the car increased as kailash drew closer. deepa's breaths came out in ragged gasps as kailash's smouldering gaze intensified. "no. no.." she tried to open the door to escape but kailash had enough of the cat & mouse game. he pulled her to him & kissed her hard. deepa first tried to push him away after a few seconds she stopped struggling & melted into his arms. deepa had always dreamt of the day where she'll get her first kiss. it would have been in a romantic countryside with a cool breeze. the warm car with a faulty lock had been the last place she would have ever thought of.

but the warm car was were she was right then. receiving warm kisses from a man whom she had thought love was impossible with. deepa started getting lost in his kisses, slipping away from the real world into her own world. kailash was surprised at his boldness. but when deepa tried to run away from him, he had just lost control. all his pent up emotions came out in a flood & he had actually grabbed deepa & kissed her. she did protest & tried to push him away but kailash knew that if he had let her go today both of them would never get down to knowing their true feelings for each other. now feeling deepa & her soft lips against his, he knew that she truly did love him.

Great chapter Leena, est 27. My fav too. Moving back 8 yrs in life - I used to love romantic novels. This one gave that satisfaction 😛 Way to go!!!!

CHAPTER 28

kailash was totally absorbed in kissing deepa that he didn't even realise the time passing by. only when deepa pulled away did he realise that they had been at it for more than hour. "oh no. I really got to run now!" deepa hurriedly rushed to open the door but kailash pulled her to him again. "you're leaving just like that? when can I see you again?" he asked her softly. she just smiled & told him that she'll call him later on. kailash was exasperated. he & deepa just had shared a passionate kiss & she seemed so nonchalant about it.

deepa smiled to herself as she ran to the her house in the rain. she turned back & caught kailash looking at with a wistful expression. deepa would tell kailash her true feelings tomorrow. till then he would be left guessing. she was so happy that she had gotten her first kiss from kailash that she grinned even as she changed her wet clothes to a comfy nightie. deepa then saw that her window was slightly open so she went over to close it. she noticed kailash's car standing idle by the side. kailash hadn't left at all. he seemed to be waiting for her & her reply. laughing at his sincerity, deepa dialled his cell number. "hello?" he picked it up sleepily. "kailash, what are you still doing outside my house?" she asked him lightly. kailash perked up instantly at the sound of her voice. "deepa? is that you? how did you know that I still hadn't left yet?" he enquired softly. "well, let's talk about it later. now you come up to my apartment." she told him sweetly. the doorbell rang almost immediately. "wah, you seem to be really eager to be in my house!" deepa teased kailash playfully.

he grinned from ear to ear as deepa handed him a towel to dry his wet hair. "you didn't even dry your hair that well." deepa scolded him & made him sit down. she dried his hair for him and kailash felt all warm & fuzzy because she seemed really concerned about his health. he suddenly reached out & grabbed deepa's waist. he rested his head her stomach & deepa started laughing. "what are you doing? you look like an eager father listening to his child's heartbeat!" she laughed. "how I wish that was true because you'd make a great mum." he replied back. deepa pushed kailash away & rapped him lightly on head. "really! I am telling you the truth." he told her & pulled her to him once again. "will you marry me?" kailash questioned deepa suddenly, his voice turning husky with emotion. "WHAT???" her mouth hung open in shock.
