CHAPTER NINETEEN

A mom's hug lasts long after she lets go.

Many months before a baby is born, many months before a new life comes out from darkness into light, the baby is already aware and responds to stimuli. But what it hears constantly and loudly is its mothers heartbeat. It responds to its mothers moods and pains for it is bathed in its mothers liquids.what goes on i wonder in those moments and where are those moments in our adult brain stored.Never in a persons life will he or she come this close to another soul or spend so much time in such close proximity.Unbreakable bonds that are stronger than the hardest metals are forged in these quiet and tender moments. They are bonds and ties that bind two souls forever,at least in most cases. No mother will ever abandon her child unless it is for the good of the child and a child is abandoned because it has come too soon in the mothers life, like in the case of Kunti in Mahabharata and in extreme cases because of poverty.

COUNTDOWN TO THE END OF LIVES
--------------------------------------------------------

The very air around Bala and Chitra seemed to be charged up and it lay heavily around them both. They quietly helped themselves to the food and both in tandem went about picking and pecking at their food. Then in unison they both looked up and began talking and in unison they both said " you first".
Chitra looked at bala and asked " how is your current case going and will you solve it soon ?"Bala well versed with his mothers tactics looked at her and replied "well the case is really complicated, but you know me.i will not stop until i have solved it."Chitra " what do you mean complicated?" Bala did not know how to answer this for he did not want to lie to his mother and even if he did he knew that she would know that he was lying.after all she was a great criminal lawyer and he knew that her mind was much, much more brilliant than his.So still looking at his plate unsure of how to reply to his mother he evaded the question by saying " sorry mum but i cannot discuss the case for it is highly confidential".

Chitra still in shock over what the astrologer had said thought it would be best to talk to bala frankly and directly. She looked at her son and said "bala. i normally dont interfere in your cases unless you come to me to discuss a problem, which you have done so many times.but somehow this case feels different for you look and are acting different.that is the reason i asked you about this case you are investigating right now.But that aside i was wondering that it has been such a long time since we visited my elder brother, ooty uncle as you call him and just thought we could go there for a couple of weeks or so ".Bala looked up and said " ma,what is wrong and why are you lying to me about wanting to go to Ooty or elsewhere.be honest and tell me what is really on your mind".

Chitra knew that her son could read her mind just like she could and also very perceptive to her moods and decided that being frank and open was the best way to solve the problem. She looked at her son and said " you might find this a bit weird and maybe even funny but whatever i am about to tell you is the truth and i want you to believe me on that".Bala laughed loudly and said " chitra, what is going on.are you by any chance thinking of second marriage or are you interested in anyone and want me to help you with the messages". Chitra just kept staring at him and asked him " will you be serious for a second and listen to me for what i am about to tell you has really upset me and some instinct is telling me that there are bad times ahead".

Bala nodded and replied "listen,i too had something weird to tell you about this case which i am investigating right now but i am worried you might fall off your chair laughing after you you have heard me/Anyway you first tell me what is troubling you and then i will tell you what is troubling me".Chitra told bala what all the astrologer had said, not leaving a single word or omitting a single detail.

After having heard his mother recount everything bala looked at her and said "wow, that is really quite a burden you have been carrying and quite a story to listen to.The funny thing is what i am about to tell you is equally crazy and farfetched and after having heard you speak i am just having doubts whether to tell you or not for it might make you even more worried. But i would rather talk to you about this than with any other person from the department for they might send me off to the asylum".Seeing the worry and panic in his mother's face bala was hesitant to start the topic that was preying him,but went ahead and asked her if she believed in ghosts and evil spirits.Chitra's expression changed from that of worry to one that expressed "what"?. She looked at him and asked him if he was serious and not playing a prank on her.Bala shook his head and said "no,this is not a trick question but nevertheless i want your take on the whole topic of ghosts and matter relating to that".Chitra replied "well the only ghosts i know are from the movies and books but i know that my son sometimes comes in and goes out of the house as quiet as a ghost thinking that i am not aware of it.But to answer your question, sorry i have never come across ghosts or anyone who has seen a ghost".

Let us not forget that chitra was a brilliant criminal lawyer and that she is still consulted on high profile cases and that being the case her mind started making logical connections between what the astrologer had said and what her son was telling her.Something tugged her soul and all of a sudden she shivered for she knew that somehow something dark had entered their lives. But she came out of her thoughts when bala asked her what shalini had to do with the whole thing and replied " i really dont know what exactly the old man meant by his predcitions except for the fact that something bad might happen if you continue with this case.maybe if you talk to shalini she might be able to shed light on this whole matter for she just might be hiding some information from you".

But then anything to do with shalini was easier said than done for she still plagued bala's soul and yet the idea that she might be able to help with this whole mysterious case left him with no choice but to contact shalini.Bala told chitra that he would try talking to shalini the next day and hopefully he might get a clue to solving this case.Chitra agreed but she knew that although shalini might be able to help her son there was also a chance that things could get more confused and dangerous for the astrologer had said that the very danger that was approaching bala was from shalini.Mother and son sat at the table chewing on their thoughts rather than their dinner for their minds were lost in framing the why's,whats, dos and dont's of this case.

Deep inside the various probabilities that were being thrown in balas's mind one thing begged for immediate answering and that was this whole prediction thing by the astrologer.Against his wishes bala decided that he would go meet the old man and try to understand what he had told his mother and if there was any truth in it.But more than anything bala wanted to know for himself if shalini would be safe for he valued her life more than his.so rather than meet the astrologer and talk to him about his stars and predictions bala seemed more bent on shalini and her future.Funny for this is the very same bala who did not believe in god or the stars and its predictions. But then love is a strange phenomenon for it makes us do crazy and silly things for the ones we are in love with. But that is love for in the end we are willing to live for it without it and are also willing to die for it.Yes,there are many lives who live in emptiness so that the ones they love might be happy and safe and are willing to be in the dark for their loved ones to be in the light. What is this abstract crazy stupid thing called love i wonder.

Aashritha is dead but still endures for her son mani.shalini is alive but is ready to die for mani.bala is alive but will die for shalini.chitra is alive but will gladly die for her son bala. And mani,he lives and yet he lives for shalini and for his mother.Love is the common thread and the one link that has bound all these lives together and soon one,two and maybe all will perish gladly for love.

But wait there is hope still for beyond ghosts, the undead, the living and the loving there is something.

Just a sad story but a story of joy and hope

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell.
He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard.
As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt a tug on his overalls.
He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.
"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck,
"These puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for moment.
Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer.
"I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle.
"Here, Dolly!" he called.

Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.
The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence.
His eyes danced with delight.

As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.
Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller.
Down the ramp it slid.

Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up...
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said,

"Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that, the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers.
In doing so, he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe.
Looking back up at the farmer, he said,
"You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands."
With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup.
Holding it carefully, he handed it to the little boy.
"How much?" asked the little boy.. "No charge," answered the farmer,
"There's no charge for love."

By the people and for the people-Satyamev jayate

Most channels yesterday featured mani shankar aiyars repeated attacks on modi where he kept saying the same words such as fascist and hitler. What is amazing and incredible is that he kept calling modi this even after modi being elected by the indian people and with absolute majority. The proof is in the pudding mani shankar aiyar and when you call the future prime minister a new hitler i wonder who you are insulting, modi or the majority of the indian public who voted for modi.So in madness you call modi a fascist and keep trying to remind all of us about the godhra riots.Okay, that was bad and it was a case of two communities belonging to two different religions clashing and that never ends well. But let me remind you all about the hours and days after the then prime minister indiar gandhi was assasinated.Thousands of sikh people were slaughtered in delhi, thousands of innocents who had no clue like lorry drivers who were sikhs dragged out of their vehicles and stabbed and put to death.why let us remind ourselves of the late sanjay gandhi who did birth control operations on thousands of muslim people. What is your take on that.

Indira gandhi, rajiv gandhi etc,let us first remind ourselves lest we forget that the name gandhi has nothing to do with our mahatma gandhi.Maybe the name gandhi should be patented and not allowed to be used just in case they sully the memory of the late mahatma gandhi.Modi has been voted into power and handed a majority simply because we want change and we want a strong leader who will lead.Just try to compare modi and manmohan singh and you will all die in splits of laughter. When manmohan singh passes away doy ou think anyone will miss him for he will be remembered only for his silence.A thunderous silence where he did nothing but utter soniaji, rahulji and priyanka ji.

We indians are peaceful people and yet hardy people and many mistake that for soft and cowardly.Even under centuries of muslim rule we largely went about our business for day to day matters were more important than the topic of who ruled us.even under centuries of british rule we went about living our lives but rose enmasse when the the english started killing and insulting us.The same is the result with the congress and the most significant factor is there is no believable leader to lead.Yes we indian love kings and leaders but then we love them if they are strong and just and if they are not we give them lot of chances and then kick them out.Like i said we are hardy people who can largely live on either on biriyani and pizza if the times are good and survive on curd rice and rasam if we the times are bad.

Today we have all voted for modi and bjp but let us not forget that the name bjp is mentioned just because of its association with modi.i really think even if modi had started his own party there is a good chance we would have voted him to power simply because today on the national level there are not credible leaders whom we can look upto and into whose hands we can hand over the indian kingdom.Honestly speaking i hope modi rules with a iron hand and as a dictator for that is the need of the hour.look where china is,miles ahead, sorry decades ahead well india is no more the sleeping tiger but a sleeping pussy cat or dead pussy.

yes, harsh words but that is the truth. The 2008 Mumbai attacks were twelve coordinated shooting and bombing terrorist attacks lasting four days across Mumbai, India's largest city, by members of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Ajmal Kasab, the only attacker who was captured alive, later confessed upon interrogation that the attacks were conducted with the support of Pakistan's ISI.The attacks, which drew widespread global condemnation, began on Wednesday, 26 November and lasted until Saturday, 29 November 2008, killing 164 people and wounding at least 308.

Kasab was caught on video, captured and put to death in 2012 four years after the mumbai attacks.you know if sanjay gandhi or modi had been in power i am sure we would have gone to war but what did the congress government do.A big fat nothing.i want to know what mani shankar aiyar has to say and what justice he will give to those innocents who died.

The 2001 Indian Parliament attack was a high-profile attack on the Parliament of India, housing in New Delhi by Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists. The attack led to the death of a dozen people, including one civilian and Afzal Guru who was involved was put to death in 2006.why,pray tell me why.

As an indian i am not bothered about onions being sold are 100 rs a kilo but i am bothered by people across the borders making us feel impotent. There comes a time when peace, growth, prosperity should be put aside and self respect and dignity brought to the forefront. We indians have been made to feel impotent during the congress rule largely because the government is impotent and more bothered with looting and cheating.Look at lollu prasad yadav and robbery devi who are the congress partys allies.nothing needs to be said for your allies speak of your integrity and character and one is judged by the company one keeps.

CHAPTER TWENTY

FATE UNKNOWN AND FINAL DESTINATION

"There is so much about my fate that I cannot control, but other things do fall under my jurisdiction. I can decide how I spend my time, whom I interact with, whom I share my body and life and money and energy with. I can select what I can read and eat and study. I can choose how I'm going to regard unfortunate circumstances in my life-whether I will see them as curses or opportunities. I can choose my words and the tone of voice in which I speak to others. And most of all, I can choose my thoughts." Elizabeth Gilbert

Many people from all walks of life,in cities all over enter car showrooms to purchase a car.Thousands buy a similar car of make and model and many buy a car of particular color. A few years later most of them start having small problems with their cars and are sent for service and maintanence.the complaints are starting trouble, suspension problems, steering problem, brake problems,AC problems etc.Life inside us humans start the same way and all of us are delivered brand new but for some who dont start at all and are condemned to be destroyed. In due course of life all of us start having problems with heart, lungs, kidneys, stomach, brain, spinal cord etc.Do you call it fate and are we born with these niggling and slow burning problems which will one day end our life.Did fate determine how each and everyone of us will die.who knows.

A group of twenty people were heatedly discussing a flight crash in which nearly 350 people had died including four infants and thirty children. All were arguing this and that and wondering how so many people could have died when they stopped an elderly man whom they considered wise and asked him about the matter. He smiled gently and said what is the big deal about all those lives being lost.Fate had determined that all should die together at that second and so they all gathered from all corners of the world and died, thats it,nothing great or wondrous about it,saying this he left shaking his head murmuring " all this silly talk about death, when who knows. this minute, this day or the next day but surely all of you and all of us are going to die"

Time to die and time to cry-1
----------------------------------------------

Bala lay awake in his bed with his hands behind his head, resting his head on his palms and deep in thought. The alarm had yet to ring and announce that it was 5.30 a.m for there were another forty minutes left for it to wail and lament. For bala somehow this was a habit from childhood for these early morning minutes were precious since this was the time he collected his thoughts and decided how to go about the day and how to tackle problems which seemed difficult the previous day.

Far away in Pondicherry shalini lay with her head on manis chest and stared at him, well they both stared at each other. They had just made love and shalini wanted more for it was in their act of lovemaking that she felt close, physically close and bonded as one with him.mani looked at her and smiled gently and sadly in his own special way and shalinis soul melted and she slowly moved up and started kissing his face and covered his lips with hers and breathed the very air he was breathing.

Far away chitra sat quietly on her bed with her eyes closed and a serene expression on her face.she was deep in prayer.praying for her son.praying for his health and welfare. She opened her eyes and looked at the orange sun which was peeping through the window and prayed a bit louder "god,i have never asked for much and i never ever disturb you with requests.i have worked hard and now i live for one single purpose and this is my son.so now all i request is that you watch over him and see that he is safe.I would do anything for him and even die for him.so if there is anything bad in his life let that come to me and i accept it willingly"

Far away the old man sat deep in meditation and yet his mind was disturbed for he knew that something tragic was going to happen that day for his inner conscious only kept showing him the color red.Calmly he opened his eyes and looked at the deity he worshipped and said "mother, there is nothing beyond you or your control. So please protect the innocents and let there be peace in everyone's lives".

Far away in a world between world of the dead and living AASHRITHA existed in her own essence. She felt one thing and only one thing and that was mani. She knew she was a ghost but yet she knew she was a mother and only that mattered for her.She knew nothing else and was not interested in anything else but mani.So she existed and in waiting for anything or anyone that might hurt or try to harm mani.

Chitra was sitting at the table and staring at a cup of coffee and hearing bala coming down the stairs looked up at her son.Bala with one look knew that his mother hadn't slept properly and that she was still worried about what they had discussed the previous night. He hugged her tightly and tenderly kissed her on top of her head.Sitting next to her he took her hand and said "listen chitra, let me do my job and we will worry when we know what the problems pertaining to this case really come to light. You and me are a team and a formidable one at that.so relax and stop worrying ".Chitra felt relieved and thought how brave her son was but she had made up her mind that she would investigate this case whether he liked it or not.So she said okay to bala and also informed him that she would be going to the high court chambers for a consultation in a case and would see him only in the night.Bala on the other hand had made up his mind about something else and said "good mum.you have a great day" Seeing his mother leave bala buttered his toast and focussed his mind on the two important things that needed to be done for the day.The first one was going and visiting the old astrologer personally and requesting him to convince his mother that things would be okay and that he had been wrong with his predictions, the other thing was to call shalini and talk to her and see if she would reveal what it was that she was hiding for bala knew that she had evaded a few questions about mani.

Being a famous criminal lawyer in chennai opens doors which are left closed to the general public and you also build contacts while practising which always come to good use.In addition to this chitra had lot of goodwill left with the police department and she decided to call a few police officers and get details of the case bala was currently investigating.Chitra was doing this because her primitive instinct and her lawyer mind told her that it was the right course of action. She trusted bala and his words but somehow the old mans prediction had scared her and she wanted to make sure if everything was all right and if possible do some investigating herself and dig up some clues which might help close the case soon and get her son out of harms way.well we humans go about doing our calculations and trying to find solutions when the answer has already been written and it is called fate.

Mother and son travelled away from each other and both their plans started the ball rolling and it would stop with the end of everything.Bala drove himself to the temple outside the city to meet the astrologer and decided that rather than waste time he would talk to shalini with his earphones on.Shalini picked up on the second ring and said " hi bala".bala's heart skipped not one but many beats hearing her voice and he had to really clear his throat to get his voice going.Bala said "shalini,i need to talk to you about something very important and i need to see you today, preferably sometime later in the day towards the evening" shalini said " okay, anyway i am heading back to the city and will stop over at the office to check on things.so why dont we meet at the restaurant in the building at about 7.00 p.m" bala said okay and before he could ask where she was, more importantly who she was with the call was disconnected.Bala drove on with a heavy heart lost in thoughts about shalini.Maybe it is true that you can truly love only one person and that love can be one sided and unreciprocated but then the heart wants what it wants and one is always at its whim and fancies.

Chitra reached the high court chambers and soon got her work done and sitting alone in the chambers made a call. The phone rang and a real rough voice announced " DIG PRAVEEN KUMAR here".Chitra smiled and said " wow, this is one voice i will be able to make out in a million voices.good morning praveen.how are you doing" On the other end praveen smiled and said " well lawyer madam,if my voice is that bad then i must say your voice is just the opposite of bad.tell me chitra, what is the reason for this pleasant surprise" chitra smiled " always straight to the matter.well praveen i am a bit worried about bala for the case he is investigating seems to be complicated and mysterious.so i thought i would get some info from you to make sense of it all" Praveen said "okay,i understand your worries but remember the minute i try to gather information about the case i am sure it will reach bala for your son is smarter than both of us put together and is also hero worshipped by most of the department. He will put me,the case and our friendship and make the connection and you bet he will give me a shelling even though i am his superior.and i wont be able to do anything about it for i am his godfather.still anything for my friend chitra,so give me an hour and i will get back to you" Chitra said "thanks praveen.i will wait for your call and just for info i am here in the high court chambers"chitra put her mobile down on the table and turned her thoughts towards the case bala was investigating and tried to think where the danger to her son was coming from.Poor woman, she had no clue but then she was going to find out for herself and see for herself where the danger was coming from and what the danger was.

Bala parked his car near the temple and was surprised to see it quite crowded even though it was a week day.An old man who was watching over the parked cars saw bala taking a look at the temple and its surroundings. He hurried towards bala and gave him a stiff salute.Bala asked the old man why he was saluting him and the old man shyly replied " sir, even though you are not in your uniform anyone can tell that you are a police officer.and the way you carry yourself itself reveals that either you are an inspector or a higher ranked officer.Bala smiled gently and asked him if the astrologer was free for he needed to see and discuss an important matter with him.The man asked bala to follow him and he hurried off into the temple premises to inform the astrologer about bala's arrival.Bala remembered where he was so he removed his sandals and left them ins the car and slowly entered the temple.A huge board just inside the temple proudly proclaimed that the temple was more than a thousand years old and built by kings of the chola dynasty. It informed that it was now under government maintenence and also that it had archeological significance.Bala stopped short at a huge statue of lord ganesha and before he realised he had folded his hands and was paying his respects to the god.Bala laughed to himself and thought that the habits taught by his mother would take some time to fade away. His thoughts were interrupted by a soft and quivering voice " welcome bala".Bala turned and face the person who greeted him and knew instantly this was the man he had come to meet and asked in surprise how the man knew who he was.The old man replied " plain common sense and no predictions involved.Through your mother i know who you are and when the parking attendendant told me some important looking police officer had come to see me i knew it would be you.Come let us go to my house which will be more comfortable and give us privacy to discuss matters".Bala looked at the old man with more respect and quietly followed him to a small but comfortable looking house adjacent to the temple compound.

After asking bala to sit down the old man too sat down next to him but instead of starting a conversation closed his eyes and went into what seemed like a trance like state or meditation.Bala waited patiently without making a noise letting the old man do what he needed to do and looked around the house.Unlike a few astrologer houses he had been to while investigating cases this house did not have one photo of the old man with celebrities or anything which proclaimed the old mans predicting powers.Rather the whole house was filled with paintings of lord shiva and shakti in various forms from all over the country. Then hearing the old man gently clear his throat bala turned to him and said " whether you believe it or not both you and your mother are in danger and immediate danger.I am not sure but i dont think i am far off from the nature of the danger for it seems like it comes from the one woman who resides in your heart". bala reacted "what shalini, danger for me and my mother from shalini.that cant be for we are very good friends and moreover shalini is a very gentle and kindhearted woman. But most importantly why would we be in danger from her when we have done nothing to harm her".
The old man looked at bala with immense kindness and said "bala what we dont know or understand is much more so much more than what we know.with what little we know we try to run our lives and sometimes meet danger head on and suffer. But that aside the danger is not from shalini but the person who she is with.It is from him or something about him that scares me and all i can tell you is that it is beyond my power to stop it or fight it.All i know is very little and that little tells me there is something evil surrounding the man shalini is with so you have to be very careful, really careful in this matter".

Bala did not know how to react and was stumped for an answer but suddenly asked the old man if he believed in ghosts. The old man smiled "if you believe in life, then why wont you believe in death and afterlife.but tell me why do you ask me this".Bala hesitated and said "well there is this case i am investigating where people seem to have died in mysterious circumstances and i have no clue why or how".But immediately after saying this bala felt embarrassed for he was a police officer and here he was talking about ghosts and stuff. The old man asked bala to wait and went inside and came back after a few minutes with two golden amulets in some black thread and asked bala to tie one on his wrist.when bala hesitated the old man tied one on balas wrist and said " please let this be on your wrist until the danger is over and then you can throw it away if you wish.and one more thing the minute you leave this place i want you to tie the other one on your mothers wrist for i did not tell her that she is actually in more danger than you".Bala was shocked and asked him what he meant by that but the old man said 'it is too late for all talk and now is the time for action.and one more thing the man with shalini is the most important clue in this case and only with his help can you solve this mystery and save yourselves from the danger which has come your way.So hurry now and find your mother and please tie this amulet on her wrist".Bala tried to reach for his wallet, but the old man said"no,i don't charge anything for helping people and this help comes to you from a higher power and the god i worship.so leave in peace and i will pray that everything will end well.seeing bala leave the old mans eyes filled with tears for he knew that before the day turned to night something terrible was going to happen. He closed his eyes and prayed for help for bala and his mother.

The time has come for life and death to face each other.real love will be tested and sacrifices will be demanded and sacrifices will be willingly made. And all for love,oh the stupid emotion love.love rules all, love rules life.love rules death and the undead.the glory and glamor of love.what a stupid game we play for this sentiment.but then what is life without love.if you have loved truly,if you have loved deeply then will you die for it.

Hi All,

Hope you all are doing well...

After sometime, i read through your posts. I cannot get into serials and other topics. But somehow, this thread catches my attention and I drop in to say Hi, then start reading the posts and I am tied.. Spending hours together.

Then when I realize I cam to the end, I know I have to do my actual purpose of visit, a Hi to you all and some more words here.

It would be great to have a continuous interaction with you though not on the serials, but on other things.. but never my time permits.. I am trying to balance out on my priorities and IF falls on top in personal priority but goes down when it comes to the fact, that I have work, family...

The same for my friends also..
I take my friends for granted.. and they knew that.. but we never care on all those.. I call them only when I want to share my burden and get their help.. and they will never complain.. they are happy that I share it with them...

I have got such good friends, who care for me but dnt show it off but still I realize it, who remembers me but dnt disturb me, who fights with me but still happy about me winning and who help me a lot without any expectations in return.. Indebted to all of them...Even IF is a place, where I for good friends whom I have not met or seen...

Hope, I can call Spain and Sathish my friends.. Not just coz we interact but I felt it.. Just felt it tat way, and I can justify it...

Spain, loved your post on life...

Sathish,

When I saw you reply for my comments on the story, I was feeling mmm??? I dnt know how to explain. I was really worried on how you took it and how to take you comments for reading cannot give me 100% as much as seeing your expressive face.. I thought I shudn't have posted that... I t was like a few MINUTES of hell where I thought, did I make this writer(who doesn't call himself so) feel bad that he challenged me to write.. I knwo for sure, I cant write, I am ok in imagination, I always do tat, but very poor in writing. I was thinking if I had put barrier to the story I am loving to read...

Then Thank God and Sathish, I saw the next part posted by you, and I was happy.
I got the next part to read, really happy... and I escaped from the curse of those who are following this story. I cant even imagine me writing a part and others reading it.. and you may be...
You can be as frank as you are in other posts, when you reply to my comments.

I read other posts, good ones, lighter ones... Keep writing Sathish,...

Keep well...

Will catch u all later or sooner...

bye...

Sathish,

I want to take pictures of myself with all the expression that run thro my face when I read the 20th chapter...
It was presented like a hot strong coffee for me which has the boost required for the readers...
Every scene was described that I was watching the scenes by myself...
when I read thro, Iwas hoping that the story doesn't end in this chapter... and It dint...

I really dnt have words tat can express my feeling.. Its all about the way the story is written... You are first a good writer and then you are Author/novelist or watever...
Your words run through the story llike water flowing in river.. you cannot describe river without flow of water...
You can really think abt filming this... It can be a movie or a play or a series... or publish this in a journal...

I appreciate your skills from my heart... Though, I am in no high position to give you a certificate of appreciation, I am just trying to convey my thoughts abt ur writing...

Keep writing..

You write nicely too, Meena.

I like reading your posts because it feels like I've seen them somewhere before...
but maybe a long time ago under a different name.
I don't know.
It's just a weird sense of familiarity I get when I read your words...
a sense of deja-vu?
Oh yes, we're friends for sure!😳
You know, I remember reading somewhere...
"Anbai tholaithu adhai thedum pothu natpin aalam theriyathu...
Manathai tholaithu alumpothu natpai thavira veru aaruthal kidaiyathu!!
Natpu yendrum uyarnthathu...Nanbendaa!"👍🏼

Ch. 20 was a very good pre-climax to the story, Satish.

So the story is going to end soon?
This chapter was a bit too long and emotionally draining for me, the reader...
(so I'm guessing just how much more draining it must have been for the writer!)...
Nevertheless, it flowed smoothly to build up for the main climax of the story.
What I liked most in this chapter...
despite the emotional turmoil the mother (Chitra) and son (Bala) were going through...
your knack for pulling out fine details from the surroundings.
"Unlike a few astrologer houses he had been to while investigating cases this house did not have one photo of the old man with celebrities or anything which proclaimed the old mans predicting powers."...
Words like that brought a smile to my face and a chuckle to my heart.
How true!
How often do we see framed-photos of swamis standing in white or orange gowns smiling with pride next to a celebrity...thereby increasing their sales to customers?
Very observant point there...
You write some of our human nature's die-hard habits so naturally that it is staring straight at our own blind eyes...
I liked the way you wrote...
"well we humans go about doing our calculations and trying to find solutions when the answer has already been written and it is called fate."
Story-wise, I wish all the characters already knew by now that the ghost is the murderer.
We know it...so there is no mystery there, despite reading that it is a difficult case to solve.
I guess the only question I have is...who is the ghost going to kill next...and last?
But I would have rather wanted to know what will stop the ghost's vengeance and calm her down to crossover peacefully.
I like the cat-and-mouse game of it, but I don't wish to see any of the main characters die.
I would rather see the already dead make peace and crossover.
I think you brought out the characterisations really well, because we always want good to win over evil...
but here, there is really no evil because even the ghost has her good intentions at heart.
Of all the characters, I find Shalini the most useless one.
She has not one, but two smart men going cuckoo and ready to die for her...
and all she does is romance in la-la land...
The more I think about it...I more I want to kill off her character and let the ghost live happily ever after.
(But that's just the little villain in me!)

Hi doc,
well you are right for i too thought i should chop up the chapter into another 3 or 4 chapters and deliver it shorter and sweeter.but you know me,i did not want the flow of narration to stop for that would blunt the feel and force of the climax.thanks again for persisting with all the chapters and reviewing them for me.be well.
