about 'ghar ek mandir'

Hi fellow IFians

am following a few serials here. I know that Ram Kapoor and Gauthami shot to fame with Ghar ek mandir - an ektha show a few years back. i did not have indian channels here at that time frame in my house. so havent' seen it.

then a couple of days back i was channel surfing when i chanced upon Sony tv airing Ghar ek mandir at some morning/afternoon times for housewives like me. so i wanted to follow it.

will it be possible for anybody who is following this serial from the start or had already seen this before, tell me the story. i do understand bits and pieces but, i have a couple of questions.

1) there are 3 sons and a daughter in the family - where is the first son and his family - has there been problems and have gone out....?

2) where is the wife of Aanchal's brother and kids if any...?

I tried to search the web about this serial, but couldnt' find the answers that i wanted.

Rajesh is their oldest son who is married and lives with his wife Sapna and two kids(gurl n boy) separately ....

he has an affair i think..n has two wives..aswell...

i think aanchal's brother gets married to rahul(ram kapoor)'s sister..archana..
archana has many probs with him i think..like she alwys want to be rich n all i remember..and love to live prestige life..so she kinda ignore him i think fr quite long..but later on i dun remmeber tht much..

The family has three sons and one daughter. The eldest son is played by Kiran Karmarkar who is married and lives separately with his wife and kids. He is not able to do much for the family so he always feels ashamed of himself. Second son is played by Aman Verma who has a girlfriend Aanchal (Gautami Kapoor) who is a lawyer. Their household is run by Aman Verma. He is an ideal son and ideal brother, who takes all the responsibilities of the family, even that of his elder brother. Aanchal is already accepted by the family but they are not engaged or married yet. Rahul (Ram Kapoor) is the youngest one and has done law but unemployed. Rahul and Aanchal gets along very well. Aanchal is a very nice girl. The father is always after Rahul as he is a happy go lucky guy and is always hanging out with his friend instead of looking for job. After a few arguments, Ram Kapoor and Shweta Kwatra becomes friends. Shweta loves Ram but he takes her as a friend only. He has done law but not finding job. The youngest Archana is the daughter who dreams of having a comfortable life and so keeps on scheming to cancel her marriage proposals to middle class families. Aanchal comes to know that she has been doing it and thus Archana has been angry with Aanchal. An old past which might hurt the family has come back in the face of a well-to-do guy who is trapping Archana.

While in a different city, in a bomb blast… the second son dies….The second son is the one who had been holding together the whole family… so now what happens to that family.. that's the story for the show..

After the son's death, the mother goes sick so does Aanchal. Rahul marries Aanchal . Aanchal has a brother, played by Ritu Raj, who started liking Archana. I didn't watch the show before but they are having a re-run on sony in US thesedays…so kind of catching some episodes.

Ram Kapoor looks WOW in the show as he was slimmer..
