Chapter 6

After dinner all had assembled in the court yard as it was Dadaji's order, while all the elders were busy in discussing the reason for meeting the cousins were busy playing with Adhyaa. It had been 24 HOURS such a long time they hadn't played with her but Kabir was not letting anyone even touch his daughter as he had not played with her for 2 MONTHS.

The elders laughed at this and Dadaji came along with Dadi who had a smile on her face. Everyone composed themselves as Dadaji took his seat

"Tum sab jante hi ho ki kal Vasundara aur Ardhyaa ki barsi hai" as soon as he said that the smile on Kabir's face disappeared somewhere but Nisha placed her hand on his shoulder and blinked her eyes signalling him its ok'

He gave her a weak smile and listened to what Dadaji was saying

"Hume lagta hai ki yeh samay theek hai ki abh hum Nisha aur Kabir ki shadi kara de" he declared and everyone gave him a big smile as a yes but the love birds were busy blushing which made the cousins face palm.

"Kisiko koi aitraaz hai?" he asked but none even said a word instead they were all rejoicing

"Theek hai phir kal hum puja ke baa pandit ji se sagai ki tareek nikal lenge usske baad dekhte hai shadi ki taiyaari kab hogi..." he said happily and everyone clapped in excitement.

Adhyaa who was busy playing with her toy sitting in Kabir's lap looked at everyone clapping and she started clapping too keeping that toy aside.

Her cuteness made everyone aww her. Nisha and Kabir at the same time bent down to place a kiss on her either cheek and ended up clashing their heads sharing an eye lock and had their small little cute moment which was noticed by none as they all had already starting deciding what was to be done for their wedding.

Their moment broke when Adhyaa started crying as she accidently bit her finger, both of them started soothing her pain by saying sweet nothings to her! After a while she finally stopped crying and then Nisha took her to the room to make her fall asleep.

When Nisha was in her room putting Adhyaa to bed Kabir came there and saw that instead of Adhyaa it was Nisha who had already fallen asleep. He chuckled and went to her, seeing her father in the room Adhyaa got excited and started clapping her hands

"Dadda" she called him excitedly and he started coming to her, even Nisha had woken up completely.

"Tu kab aaya?" Nisha asked him rubbing her eyes lazily

"Abhi abhi aaya hun, bohut thak gai hai kya?" he asked her as he was concerned for her but she nodded her head negatively

"Vo Adhyaa ko sulate sulate neend kab aagai samajh hi nahi aaya" she giggled as she said and even Kabir joined her

"Tujhe neend nahi aa rahi?" she asked Kabir as she could see that something was disturbing him, he slightly nodded his head

"Tu ek kaam kar Adhyaa ko leke bhara ja main dono ke liye coffee leke aati hun, aur sun thand hai thodi si toh yeh blanket lete jana" Nisha said as she handed him the blanket and he smilingly took it from her and went towards the balcony after wrapping it around Adhyaa securing her in it

Soon Nisha was there with the coffee and found that Kabir was marching from here and there patting Adhyaa's back putting her back to sleep and after two months when Adhyaa felt her father's warmth she too fell asleep, Nisha smiled and walked to them, she signalled him to put Adhyaa in the small cot they had placed there specially for such times when they would chat in fresh air and Adhyaa would sleep peacefully.

"Abh bataya kya baat hai?" Nisha asked as she handed him his mug of coffee

"Bas kal ke bare main soch ke" he didn't want to continue further and Nisha understood it, she placed her hand on his hand and gave him some strength

"Kabir, 3 saal ho jayenge kal uss hadse ko, hume agge bahdna hoga Kabir" she said and he looked at her

"Main uski baat nahi kar raha Nisha" he replied confusing her

"Phir kiski baat kar raha hai?" Nisha asked

"Kal main life time ke liye jail main bandh ho jaunga Nisha, usske bare main soch raha hun" he said hoping she would get a cue but she was still confused

"Matlab?"

"Arey kal panditji aakar humari sagai ki date batayenge, usske thode din baad shadi.. hui na life time jail" he faked sadness and Nisha hit his arm angrily

"K Khainka" she cursed him and looked at the other side, Kabir started laughing and pulled her in a side hug

"Sorry yaar, but kya karta 2 mahine se tere saath koi mazak nahi kiya tha issliye socha aaj mauka mila hai toh kar hi lun" he confessed as he broke the hug

"Bohut ganda Mazak tha yeh" Nisha said and glared at him, he caught both his ears and said a sorry to which Nisha forgive him

"Tu sach main sad nahi hai na Kabir?" Nisha asked again as she wanted to confirm it thoroughly

"Tu janti hai main tujh se jhut nahi bol sakta, toh tu bata tujhe lagta hai ki main jhut bol raha hun?" he said genuinely and Nisha looked in his eyes, she then nodded her head negatively and concluded that he had moved on.

"Tu iss shadi ke liye ready hai?" Kabir asked her as he didn't want her to take any decision in haste

"Main wait nahi kar sakti hun Kabir, hum officially Adhyaa ke parents ban jayenge isske baad Kabir... I am completely ready for it"

Nisha said as she placed her head on his chest and Kabir wrapped his arm around her waist

"Par aur bhi cheezain badal jayengi Nisha, janti hai na yeh baat tu?" he asked as he rubbed her back

"Janti hun Kabir, par abh main aur wait nahi karna chahti hun, apne iss rishte ko ek naam dena chahti hun" she said as she snugged into him

"Phir theek hai, so get ready to become Mrs. Kabir Kumar soon" he said and placed a kiss on the top of her head

"Chal abh raat bohut hogai hai abh tu ja" Nisha broke the hug and walked into the room taking Adhyaa in her arms

"Waah, tu toh shadi se phele hi mujhe kamre se bahar nikal rahi hai vo bhi for no reason, shadi ke baad agar humara jhagda hua toh phir tu kya karegi?" he asked her and crossed his arms across his chest.

"Shadi ke baad agar jhagde hue toh main tujhe kamre se bahar nahi nikalungi" she said and hearing that Kabir smiled but his happiness lasted only for a minute "Main tujhe neeche zameen pe sulaungi" she ended her statement with a smirk on a face and Kabir had a terrified expression on his face after hearing it

"Nisha, main khud kamre se bahar chala jaunga" he said and she giggled at his adorableness.

"Shadi ke baad ki shadi ke baad dekhnge, abhi toh ja pehle" she said and he nodded her head, she turned and tucked Adhyaa in the bed properly

Kabir called her and she turned around, he quickly placed a kiss on her cheek and ran out of the room before she could response. Nisha chuckled and shook her head, she went to the balcony and took them to the kitchen, she later came and took her place next to Adhyaa, she looked at her angel and smiled as she kissed her forehead before closing her eyes. It was a really important day for her.

Here, Kabir too was not able to sleep as he was buy thinking about the day that had changed his life 3 years ago and will be again changing it tomorrow but he had a smile on his face as he knew that this time it would be a change for a better reason.

Soon both of them drifted to sleep thinking about the next day and hoping for a better life after tomorrow.

The next morning everyone woke up and started preparing for the Puja, soon panditji had arrived and he started performing the rituals once everything was done Dadaji sat with him asking for a suitable date for Nisha and Kabir's engagement and their marriage.

After seeing the birth carts that is Kundali of Nisha and Kabir, the panditji decided that the date after two days they can do the engagement and after a week or after a month the marriage can take place.

Everyone was excited hearing this and tightened up their belts to start the preparations for Nisha and Kabir's engagement! Nisha and Kabir steeled glances from each other and looked at Adhyaa who was the reason of their happiness.
