Great post Nish! It is actually truly inspiring to hear such stories. Some people have such an impression that we the youth and future will never be able to carry our values and traditions but we actaully can. When it comes to love, I dont think there is a value that has taught us not to love or care or feel for one another. I truly hope Navya cvs get inspired!

Thanks Nish, for your wonderful post, although the two names are unfamiliar to me, I really enjoyed reading about them.

I am also of the firm belief, that traditional values and modernism can and should go hand in hand. I have been living in the US for many years now, but I still follow traditional Indian customs while leading a perfectly modern lifestyle. Am immensely proud of my Indian traditions and heritage and have absolutely no qualms in harping about the beauty and richness of our culture to anyone who might listen. 😆

I have educated many of my American friends when asked about our religion and culture but what pains me most, is that I have had to educate quite a few Indians as well. The lack of true knowledge about our religion, heritage or culture among our own brethren is actually quite sad. Not sure why people from our country think to be modern, one cannot follow our age old customs & traditions. But thankfully, there are many like me who think otherwise. 😉

And that is why I relate to this show Navya so much. I too was brought up by strict yet loving parents who taught me how to handle both traditionalism & modernism equally quite well. 😊

P.S. I was not trying to brag about myself here, just trying to making the point.

Thanks Nish for the clarification and yes I know stars are but human. Its we who keep them on a pedestal.

Hindi is taken as a second language? wow thats great. I never knew this. This is news for me.

Regarding liking Shaheer Sheikh? well Nish, I like the character anant and I like the way Shaheer portrays this character. But if he moves on and does another character, I may not like it.I liked SRK in fauji and DWDLj, but never after that. I liked Barun in BHPH and now when I see him in IPKKND, I hate it. So for me shaheer = anant. Thats it.

Nice to talk something other than navya. Wow we need to have such talks often.

Hi Asha..
Wow!!👏So nicely said...even for me it is the same..i don't know whether I will even bother about Shaheer's future projects...it is only his role as Anant which I like, that's the reason I feel so sad when many kids mix up an actors personnel life with their professional achievements...aren't they two completely different things?
Yes, I do at times feel sorry for these actors when a serial or movie becomes a failure because of other aspects like bad scripts etc...but then such risks are there in every profession.

@ Sreya...have a wonderful Ayudha Pooja

@ ilunavya(oh...I should be knowing ur name by nowso...sorry..) & Jen ,Thankyou,I am glad you enjoyed reading this

@ Geeta...Oh I know what you are saying...Culture gives us our identity ,and without cultural inclination we are nothing short of aimless wanderers...I don't know how many of them will agree but then we are in that age bracket where we have seen enough of this world and know our priorities,I feel sad for our youngsters(who are 10 yrs our junior)...because they feel proud in announcing to the world that they don't believe in traditions and values......I often feel like asking them..."oh really? What is your identity then?Is education enough for you to lead a successful life"?

Nish, brillaint post...It provided the necessary relief from the saas bahu tension...I enjoyed reading it even though the names are unfamilar for me...You had given the perfect example which proves that people can live a better life with modern thoughts along with the traditional beliefs...
Brilliant comments also...I never knew that Tamil is not a compulsory subject in TN...Usha, thanks for the link...Sudha Murthy is indeed an insipirational personality...
Regarding hero worship, i think as long as it doesn't harm others it isn't wrong...

First of all Thank you Nish for making this post..🤗and pulling me out of Navya world..I badly needed that
And I couldn't agree more with all of you that life around us is full of far more interesting and inspirational stories than any show or movie could offer.
I had read about Sudha Murthy earlier as well...but never in detail. Thanks Usha, for the link🤗
Nish, I had read a story about a lady from chennai who now has a chain of restaurants/food joints , who had such humble beginnings.I can't recollect the name of the lady but I know that she started with a food stall at Marina beach and went on to soar greater heights from there.
Her life story was truly inspirational as well..

PS..I personally have never believed in hero worship..but then all I can say is..Its OK as long as the personality lives upto his expectations. You have given a good example of Rajnikant..I know its absolute maniac when it comes to rajnikant fever.😃

Hey Nidhi and Reshmi...Honestly haven't I been telling for ages that we can talk about many more interesting things other than this serial...Navya serial was just a trigger which made us good friends, but certainly it need not remain there for ever...Ok...the place may not be right but then IF has "member's lounge" , "chat clubs" , and "Debate Mansion" which we can always use😳

One more personality who needs a special mention here is M.S. Subbulakshmi...She belonged to devdasi community and married at the age of 20...her husband played a vital role in her success thereafter...One of the most inspirational story of that time👏
