Awesome post, Nish..👏👏.although am not familiar with their names, their stories do stimulate us..yeah, the perfect melange of contemporary and time honoured values😊 Surely, their education has helped them broaden their perspectives, but, it is commendable to see that they have embraced traditional values with such ease ..
Hope, we will be able to do so, too..the right mix of archaic and current practices...that would so be perfect...with such rich culture n heritage..it would be shameful, if we did not do so...
And so,wish, our show could incorporate such a perfect blend of ancient and modern, ideas..that would, really leave all the viewers very much satiated...
@Asha..very apt queries...yes, it is intriguing to find ppl not willing to converse in the national language...

@Nish: my pleasure...i'm a big fan of Vishaka too...and naanum Chennaiite...😊...and people can understand your post very well...maybe not the personalities...but the essence of your post has hit the target...

@Asha and Urmi: sighhh...that is one sad aspect...the hero-worshipping is at its extreme here these days...you have these huge cut-outs of heroes in the theatres...and on the day of the film release, they perform abhishekam to the cut out ( pouring milk over the cut-out...like they do for deities in temple..) and take arthi...

BTW, another real life inspiration that i look upto is Mr. Narayanamurthy, Ex-Chairman of Infosys and his wife Mrs.Sudha Murthy...a wonderful journey of courtship, marriage, achievement and sacrifice...ably supported by their in-laws and friends...Mr.and Mrs.Narayanamurthy are deeply rooted in their traditions and never give up on their ethics...if i can get the link for their love story and if i'm allowed to post the link, i'll try to do it...'Navya' could have well been that show where Navya and Anant excel in their professional lives and personal lives alike...its not too late now either...

Nish - thanks for the post - you have given really good examples of ppl who blend modern world with traditional values...
Madhu - here is the link to the Sudha Murthy story - not sure if this is what you meant...: http://hem.com.np/2007/04/16/love-story-of-infosys-founder-narayana-murthyfrom-sudha-murthys-autobiography/
I can think of many real life ppl around me who blend tradition and modern seamlessly and without making too much of a fuss about it...
I think in the TV world there are not many takers for education and career oriented characters/storylines. Is anyone watching Diya aur bati hum? It is supposed to be about a girl who pursues her IPS dream post marriage, after being wedded into a traditional rajasthani family. Never watched it myself so can't comment, but I hope they have more shows where the leads are into studies, career, etc. Somehow TV is sadly lagging behind the real world in this aspect, not sure if it is due to a narrow sub-group of the population whose viewership counts as part of the TRPs...

@ Usha: yup yup...thats the one...great job😊 and thanx for posting the link...until i stumbled upon that excerpt from her book, i never knew they had a courtship...and i simply loved the way she supported Mr. Murthy through thick and thin and she continues to do that...As soon as i thought of Navya's education, the first thing that struck my mind was her expertise in computers...and that just kinda took me to Mrs. Sudha's initial days in Infosys...how the two of them helped each other in building the dream called 'Infosys'...

@ Usha, u brought a nice topic about studies after marriage. Well currently there is one serial in NDTV imagine; 'beend banoga ghoda chadooga", not sure about the exact title. But the lead heroine after marriage is now studying to be a doctor. So I doubt if they would repeat the same in Navya.

@ Madhu , currently I am reading sudha murthy;s book ' wise otherwise' a nice one. I recommend it to all.

Usha thanks for the link, shall read more now.

@Usha..thanks for the link dear..
@Asha..You recomment" wise otherwise"..will try to read that book too..Sudha Murthy is really very inspirational lady...
Abt studies after marraige..if I am not wrong even Saath nibhana saathiya is showing something..where gopi is actually doing her education after maraige and her huband is helping him in pursuing it...so i thkn ther are soem shows that are trying to include this concpet but in a very miniscule amount..
