@ Asha: thanx for the suggestion...will deffo read it...

@Urmi: Saathiya had a very good education track, but unfortunately its over now ( minuscule amount like u said) and has paved way for drama...

Another real life person i could think of is Sonia Gandhi...hailing from a different country and married into an Indian family, it must not have been easy for her to adapt to the various traditions prevailing in our country...yet, today we see her neatly dressed in crisp cotton sarees and address gatherings in impeccable hindi...and as a women of power and assertiveness, she has managed her political life quite admirably...

@Madhu..
thanks for bringing it to my notice..i dont watch saathiya regularly so was not sure what is gng on now..
I agree Soniya Gandhi is surely a good example..she definately had gone thru a lot to attain the positin she is at rgt now..But i am thinking being in a political family and taking up politics herself has to do a lot with the way she dresses and acts also

@ Urmi: true that...many people are still of the opinion that Sonia is heavily inspired by her MIL Indira Gandhi...even the sarees she wears belong to her MIL...and politics does demand a certain traditional outlook, at least in appearance, if one is to survive in it...even the men in politics are often seen only in pyjama kurtas, no casual dressing there...

@ Asha and Urmi 🤗Hi...How are you my dearies?
Ok...coming to these two difficult topics of star worshipping and Hindi language...
Star worshipping was something which even I loathed till I came and settled down in Chennai myself,but then once a part of Tamil Nadu I couldn't ignore the happiness that people share when A movie of Rajnikanth is slated to release...it is infectious,no doubt no one else in the country have been able touch that popularity that Mr.Rajnikanth has,he is one fine gentleman,let me tell you my experience...he was admitted in the bed next to my FIL in the ICU for one whole week before moving to Singapore for his treatment...in that one week I saw him very closely...👏...he was so simple and normal...simpler than any common man of India...OMG...I was shocked...
Do you know he is the only actor in India who pays to his distributors and producers for his movie loss from his own pocket?
Mr.Kamal Hassan...I have seen this genius thrice myself walking down the road like a commoner...Once my friend started giggling in front of him saying "he looks like Kamal Hassan"...and onlooker told us "he IS Kamal Hassan 😲 "...Mr.Kamal smiled at us and went away 👏...Look at this forum...So many people are crazy about Shaheer Sheikh...how long do people know him?Still the craze is so much...that's what I think...😕
May be it is there simplicity which attracts so many people?..but yes when things go out of control then even I don't agree to it.

@ Aanchal...again for Hindi language,it is very sad that the outside world including my parents think in the same fashion...but the real picture is very different.Such impression is created by the then political party to gain majority...something similar to what Shiv Sainiks did with Hindi speaking population in Maharashtra...That certainly doesn't show the sentiment of whole crowd.
-Tamil Nadu is the only state in the Country which has not made Tamil as a compulsory language in schools...more than 60% of children study Hindi as the second language.

-Mahatma Gandhi started Hindi Prachar Sabha in Chennai and since then innumerable children and youngsters have learnt Hindi voluntarily.Our Yamini is the one from the forum who has learnt Hindi to a very high level...
But the fact is...all the Indian language is in the brink of Extinction because English has taken over everything now...very sad!

@ Madhu and Usha...
Mr and Mrs Murthy are two splendid human beings...I have read all their books and am waiting for their next book...How can anyone be so simple?I feel ashamed of myself sometimes...really...
as in case of Vishaka Hari too...she trained herself in katha Kalakshemam after finishing all her daily homely chores...
as Shaina said...it is only the belief that matters.
TV serials are far less inspirational and adventures than real life...👎🏼

@ Haanji...thankyou for your humble words😳

@Nish..thank you for the info.🤗.am glad, that at least 60% children opt for hindi as their second language, inspite of it not being mandatory.👍🏼 and, yes, am proud of Dear Yamini...it is laudable👏..
True, our culture n traditional values seem to be fading , overshadowed by the western values, that today's generation prefer to adopt.Am not against it, as long as there is a perfect balance between the two.. and, am sure if given proper values, our youth will surely not let us down..😊
It is a shame, to see other countries trying to learn more about our heritage, and, we are doing exactly the opposite...
Hope, it is revived, before it is too late..😔
And, yes, hv known all about Rajnikanth and his benevolent ways...As far as idolising someone,am all for it, as long as the followers are influenced in a constructive manner..😊
@Usha..thanks for the link..🤗

Hello Nishkala, welcome back and hope you had a good holiday...
nice post, my parents are big followers of vellukudi and vishaka hari... I like to hear them too when I get a chance, esp vellukudi.
Agree with you on the 'star worship' ... even though it initially starts with a person's looks, etc... finally its his/her character, simplicity etc that takes him to the heights of fame.
Today busy with puja...will post more later...
