FINALLY - ANYA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & some awesome acting from Deepu. Another actor who can emote with the eyes - and I prefer the subtleness to the senti dialogues - y'all know my bias!
The contrast between the FathersI really liked these unspoken scenes today/y'day:Deepu stands outside Loony Kingdom - thinking "this is the place she wants to go to?"- and is overwhelmed even b4 Om comes to talk to him; he must have thought - "this is not a place I would have chosen - for Navya - I would have chosen a homely family - but so be it!"The parampara wala dialogue ke baad he looks a couple of times pointedly at the ladies - and he sees no reaction. He must have thought - "will my daughter be as helpless as these women are?"BD's as usual kadwa comments: I am glad he didnt tell Navya - how hurtful would that have been? He is probably too kind to ever mention it - I hope at least DA Snior/Junior tell Anant what BD said... thats A DAMN GOOD reason for Anant to go apologize.I loved the way he also looked at Anant as he was leaving - "so this is where you want to bring my daughter? So tell me why you or your family do even deserve my daughter?" Anant too embarassed to even greet him - can feel his anger - looks away - very nicely done.I also liked the way he touched Mohan's shoulder - his feeling that at least there is one sane person in the family! And that he appreciated the apology - that was a neat touch!His pointed remark to Om: "Talk to your son first" before you decide was also neat and then again he looked at the ladies ... and he must have thought "You women should know better"
Hi Dee, loved your post again. Yes, I too felt the silent convo was way too good. Everything you said in bold is so true, I completely had agree with them and had the same thoughts too.
Especially the look he gave to Anant was really awesome. He almost accused him of putting his daughter through so much pain!! Why are you doing this to my daughter, do you really love her, he wanted ask. And I loved the way Anant felt guilty of putting them all through this humiliation too. Poor guy's embarrassment was also something I felt really bad for. Portrayed perfectly once again by Shaheer. 👏
Deepak really does not know Anant, only trusts his daughter's judgment. What a loving father who has complete faith in his daughter's judgment. He has given his consent for their wedding w/o even meeting the guy!! Loved this fact too. It is only when Anant lands up at their house will he get to know him really. Can't wait for that any longer.
