The latest duo to get the axe from Star One's extremely popular potpourri of song, dance, Bollywood masala and reality TV — Nach Baliye — are Rajeshwari and Varun Badola. Although a lot of tears are usually shed as the credits roll (it's just not Bollywood without a little glycerin), the inside story on this particular departure is a tad prickly.

Apparently, no one was unhappy to see them go, owing mainly to several ungracious interviews in which the duo alluded to their own hard work and talent, and hinted that not everyone was on the show with the same credentials.

So no amount of emotional blackmail would get them another shot at the dance-off after they blanked out during their rather frantic performance. (Although the 35 seconds of dramatic silence were TRP winners) But you have to hand it to them for their gracious exit.

Apparently, they didn't have a farewell speech prepared because they never dreamed they'd lose (Now, that's a keeper). Oh, but I wouldn't fret, if I were you, all is fair in love, war and showbiz, you can safely expect all 10 couples to return full of co-competitor love for a no-hard-feelings-finale which I hear will be a two-and-a-half-hour special with a sizzler from Malaika (drool) Arora and will be broadcast live on Thursday night!
