Sorry this is short and late! But as promised if I passed my exam i would update! Thank you all for your words of encouragement, I came out with better grades than I expected.

Neil faced a gagged Avni
Stepping closer to her, he untied her and pulled the gag out of her mouth

Pulling her top up, he saw no bomb
"But"
Avni's eyes widened "Behind you"

Neil turned to see his father Remi facing him
"Oh Neil, I got here as fast as I could, ill take Avni with me and get her to safety"

"No, no Neil listen to me thats Nina's father, hes the one that killed her"
"Avni you must be mistaken"
"Neil, please im not"

Neil pulled her up, cupping her face "Im just glad youre safe"
"Neil please"

Avni was to weak to fight, allowing Remi to lead her out she turned back to Neil
In this time she had been taken, she had learnt how much Neil meant to her

She knew she wouldn't get another chance to say it
"Neil"
"Yes Avni"
"I love you, you know that right"

A gun shot from the opposite side of the room, made Avni jump back
Neil looked down at his arm

"Get her out of here"
Avni tried to reach out to him, "No, im not leaving you, Neil "
Remi pulled her back


Neil jumped forward, kicking his assailant, he shoved him down the stairs
Avni ran infront of Neil
Covering him, she pushed him to the floor

Neil looked up at Avni, who was covering his face from the beatings
Turning her over, he led above her

A whip to his back, nearly made him fall
"Fight for me, I know you can" she whispered
Neil pushed himself back up

Grabbing the whip he pulled it around the two mens necks and pulled till they dropped to the floor

Remi was far gone by then
Avni stood up
Hugging Neil

Holding her to him, she saw another man come forward with a bat
Pulling them both back, they smashed through the window and into the water below

Neither let go of eachother the whole time

Hey, thank you and thanks again!

Neil pulled Avni out of the water
"You okay"
She nodded
But faltered

Neil picked her up in his arms
"My car is there"
Avni nodded, resting in his arms

Arriving at the car he sat her in
"Look what theyve done to you"
Neil said sadly, his eyes teary

"When we get back, ill sort this out okay"
Avni nodded

Neil started the car, one hand in Avni's the whole time
His head was spinning at Avni's revelation

When they arrived back, he helped Avni in and sat her down
Cleaning her wounds, she flinched

"Im sorry I dont want to hurt you anymore then you already are"
"Im okay" Avni smiled

"Did you mean what you said in there"
She nodded
"I dont know when I fell for you, but I love you Neil I really do"

"I love you to, more than you will ever know, no matter our family's enemity "
"You have to believe me Neil, your father did this to me and he is Naina's father, he killed her"

"Avni please I dont want to hear this, hes not just my father, hes my boss"
"Ill prove it to you"
"If youre wrong Avni then"

"Then ill apologise, but all I need right now is your trust"
Rubbing his thumb on her hand he smiled
"You had it from day one"

"Thank you Neil"
Neil led next to Avni, pulling her down with him
He held her to him

"Im glad that youre with me now, I dont know what I would have done if I lost you"
"You wont" Avni promised

Neil looked at the paper infront of him, Avni had slammed it down infront of him

Falling to the bed, Avni grabbed his shoulders

"He killed Naina and he tried to kill you, everything he taught me, was all a lie, he made you my enemy, made the woman I love doubt me"

Neil pushed her off him and stood up
The revelation was both heartbreaking and painful
It was like a cold shower had been poured on him

He was finally awake to the truth
He turned around, dropping on his knees, he rested his hands on Avni's feet

"I know I am not worthy of your forgiveness but please forgive me, or dont, hate me if you have to but dont leave me, I dont know what to do without you"

"Neil, none of this is your fault, we can get through this together, you know that"
Pulling him up she wiped away a stray tear from his face

"When did I get so lucky Avni"
She smiled
"I dont know, I must be your lucky charm"

"That you are Avni, that you are"
Avni pressed a kiss on his adams apple
"Whatever happens, we will be okay Neil, I know it doesnt feel like it but we will, theres nothing we cant get through"

Neil looked down at her clothes
"Does that include my pants"
"Huh"
What was he on about?

"You know" he nudged her
She still looked oblivious
Rolling his eyes he continued

"You know, does that include my pants in the list of the things we can get through"
"Why would we want to get through them, is your zipper stuck hold on"

Avni bent down, her teeth on the zipper of his trousers she yanked it down and unbuttoned it
"Avni , you have no idea what you are doing to me right now and youre so clueless it just "

He bit back a groan at the very intimate images in his head
Avni stood up
"I dont understand"
"Avni, I want to make love to you, so im asking you if you want to get in my pants"

She gasped "Neil dont be so rude"
Walking out she bit back a laugh

"You really gonna leave me like this"
He shouted
When he heard no reply he decided he would have to sort himself out again

Heading to the bathroom he slammed the door for good measure
But kept it unlocked incase his Avni became less clueless

Avni sat on a swing, her hair dangled down her back as she hummed softly, what a weird place for Neil to call her.
She jolted forward as her swing was pushed forward.

"Hello hot stuff" Neil whispered into her ear, Avni blushed. She turned slightly to look at him, her breath taken away by how handsome he looked.

A black suit, tie and a white shirt. "I dont think youre dressed for the park" she whispered. "Every day with you is a special event, im dressed fine"
Avni blushed "Then maybe im under dressed"

Walking around her, he dropped to his knees "You look beautiful always"
She lowered her head to kiss him and smiled. "So Mr Neil Khanna, why did you ask me to meet you here"

"Well, I want to remind you of the first time we met here as children"
Avni smiled, she remembered being quite young and falling off the swing.
Neil had stayed with her throughout it all, singing stupid songs and making her laugh

"It was the start of something neither of us could ever understand and thats why, I want to marry you, make you Mrs Avni Khanna"
"Neil what are you"
Neil pulled out the ring box and opened it

"If you allow me to, I will protect you with my life, treasure you and keep you safe, you will be my lifes biggest win and my top priority, there is no one I will love more than you or want more than you"
Avni smiled through her tears "Yes ill marry you, idiot"

Neil slipped the ring on her finger, picked her up and spun her around
"I want to teach you how good life can be and I want to be the one person you never lose"
Avni laughed loudly and cupped his face
"Take me home Mr Khanna, show me how life will be as your wife"

About 30 minutes later, Neil carried Avni over the threshold of their home
"Arent you meant to do this when we get married"
Neil smirked
"Got to get used to carrying a heavy woman, it isnt easy"

Avni slapped his cheek "Youre so rude"
Neil laughed "Im joking, now come on full speed ahead"
Avni shook her head as Neil walked into the bedroom with her and shut the door behind him with his foot

Neil placed Avni on the bed, she smirked as she pulled at his tie so his face was directly infront of hers
"Ive always wanted to undress you"
"Since when did you become so in the know" he chuckled

"Its not my first time Neil"
Avni's hands were now on his last button of his shirt and he was bare chested
His eyes shot open
"What do you mean not your first time, you mean you acted clueless the whole time, who had you first, tell me and I will find them"

Avni slipped her dress off "Well its not like you're doing this for the first time, just calm down sweetheart"
Neil pushed his body onto hers
"I will do it better, you wont be able to walk by the time im done with you"

"We shall see, let me be the judge of that"
With an animalistic growl he brought his lips to hers
She allowed her body to surrender to him fully for a night full of passion

It was about 2am in the morning, Avni led her hair splayed on Neil's chest and her hand in his

"About what" he kissed her hair
"There wasnt anyone else before you"
Neil smiled "I lied to, you were my first everything"

Avni smiled and snuggled closer into him
Tomorrow they would return to work and their normal lives
But Avni would be a new woman
She would be Neil Khanna's fiancee, a title she would hold close to her heart

But for now, they were just normal people in love
Tomorrow they would be the two enemies with a secret
